Crazy as it may sound, some experts will tell you that your acne is a good thing, and viewed in a certain way or from a particular angle, they may have a point.

Acne is telling you that your body has a hormonal imbalance that needs to be addressed, and that if it is not dealt with, this could lead to other problems that will come back to haunt you later. For example, hormonal imbalance can be the cause of premature hair loss and even prostate problems, the latter of which can be a very serious condition.

Throughout your life, the glands of your body will produce a huge number and range of different hormones, each of which does a specific job within your body. Sometimes this job needs to be done, while at other times it is not so important, and thus the hormones that were produced to action this particular bodily function are not actually required.

They are, in effect, excess hormones that your body produced ‘just in case’ something should happen that did not in fact take place.

If, on the other hand, the hormones are ‘used’ or ‘spent’, they still leave a residue, and that residue needs to be cleared from the body if it is not to become toxic. Under most normal circumstances, the liver is more that capable of dealing with these excess hormones and the residue left behind by those that have been used or spent.

At times when the body is under strain or having to work excessively hard, however, the liver is incapable of dealing effectively with excess and spent hormones, and this is the reason that acne tends to occur at particular times. For example, adolescence is the time when the human body enjoys maximum growth, so the liver is too ‘busy’ doing other things to deal with the excess hormones being produced, and it is the same for women during their monthly cycle or the menopause.

It is a similar story with the ‘bad’ fats and oils that most people consume as part of their daily diet (to be discussed in more detail in a later chapter).

At times when the body is most under strain, the liver is simply not capable of processing and metabolizing all of the fats and oils that we eat, and these are a contributory factor in the acne chain of causation.

Of course, if this hormonal imbalance was the sole cause of acne, then everyone would suffer from acne, and as that is clearly is not the case, there must be something else going on as well.

You're probably wondering why I didn't put this chapter up towards the beginning of the book. Well, I wanted to get into the stuff that I knew you'd want to get first...how to get the JV. I knew that would get you all excited about doing this. Hopefully, it has. But now we have to get into some of the common sense stuff, and let's be honest...some of this isn't all that exciting. Still, it's something you need to learn.

So let's begin.

What are the things you're looking for when deciding upon a JV? Yes, we're going to be a little picky here, even if it means you don't get as many JVs as you'd like. You'll still get your share if you follow the guidelines of this book.

What Do I Sell?

This is the first question that you have to ask yourself. Let's say that you sell books on Adwords and how to effectively use Adwords and the person who you are planning on doing a JV with doesn't believe in Adwords. He thinks it's too hard, to costly or whatever. This may not be the best match for a JV. You preferably want to JV with somebody who shares your basic beliefs in marketing or whatever your niche is.

What Is My Competition?

You need to understand who your competition is before getting into a JV with anybody. For that matter, you need to know who your competition is before releasing any product, even on your own. If the product you and your JV partner plan to release can't compete with what's already out there on the marketplace, either because of price or features, you're going to have a hard time selling it.

Do I Like Working Alone?

As much as you might think that you want a joint venture, you have to sit down and ask yourself this question. Do you like working alone? If you do, you may have a problem working with others. Remember, in a JV, you have to compromise on things. You don't get to make all the decisions. For some people, this can be very frustrating when they have very strong opinions about things.

Do You Know Others With Experience In JVs?

Believe it or not, the experiences of others can greatly help you with making your decision, if not help you actually run your JV. Going into anything without any kind of experience is a scary thing. By having others to share their experiences with you, you can get a pretty decent idea of what you can expect. Try to get as much feedback as you can from others.
Will The Partnership Strengthen My Credibility?

We don't really think about this because usually we are just so consumed with how much money we're going to make from the JV, but you really have to sit down and think about this one. If you team up with somebody who is a known spammer, like Cody Moya, do you really think that's going to help your credibility any regardless of how much money you make? Think about this before you dive in.

What Are Your Ultimate Goals?

Making money is great, but there is more that you could be getting out of a JV. What are your goals? Do you want to build a bigger list? Do you want to build your brand? Do you want to simply get more traffic to your site? Do you want to get into other product lines? It would be a good idea to make a list of all the things you hope to get out of your JV other than just a paycheck.

It is so tempting to just jump into bed with the first person who says yes to you, but sometimes you could be setting yourself up for an experience that will be less than beneficial to both of you. This is why I am now very picky about who I do JVs with, even though I have only done a handful of them to date. I've seen both the good and the bad in a very short period of time.

To get started with video marketing you first need to locate a market niche that is hungry for visual information or entertainment. There are many, many niche markets to chose from, possibly thousands, but not all are suited for video marketing.

An ideal niche for video marketing is essentially any niche that conveys some kind of information. For example, videos of crashes, accidents, pranks, bloopers, kittens, puppies, and babies can be very entertaining but the videos do not contain any real information other than perhaps “be careful!”

While you absolutely can use entertainment videos as a means of generating traffic to your website and can even earn money if your site is running Adsense ads, entertainment videos are not nearly as profitable as information and problem solving videos.

The reason for this is very simple: people watching entertainment videos want to be entertained (big shock) and therefore do not want to join a mailing list or purchase a product.

On the other hand, individuals watching videos for the purposes of learning are much more inclined to join your mailing list or purchase a product because they have a need that you can possibly solve.

To find really great niches you will need to go to Youtube and do some research. I should point out that Youtube research is some of the most fund research I’ve ever done. You can easily spend hours on the site and not even realize it.

To research niches you can either browse random videos or you can type in the words ‘how to’ into the search bar. How to videos are usually information based and can give you some really great niche ideas. You should also look at random videos from time to time because you never know what you’ll find.

In this section I want to continue on the same front as the previous, where if you remember, we talked heavily about learning, how to learn effectively, and how to make progress. This is always a favorite topic of mine simply because there are so many marketers out there that I meet that have masses of potential. Some of the best ideas I've ever seen, some of the most enthusiastic work ethics and ambitious high aiming projects unfortunately never get anywhere.

It's not because they don't know what they want, it's not because they don't have goals, and it's not because they don't have the know-how. When you upload your page to your server you just started the race to get indexed. Now, the search engines won’t know you even upload anything for at least a few hours and in most cases a few days.

There are plenty of ways to get indexed today and I’ll go into those in a bit but here is what happens from start to finish when you get indexed. So as I was saying when you upload your page you have officially began the race.

The first part, for the third time is uploading your page. The bots are going to be looking for you if you did everything I said. Once they visit your page they may not index you. They may put you in line to be indexed. Sort of like a probationary period.

You don’t want to make any changes to your page once you upload it so make sure it’s the way you want it. Each time you update or change the page, the bots know and will keep starting from scratch with your page until it’s indexed.

Even when it’s already indexed and you make changes it will come back to your page and update the search engine accordingly which can be good and bad, so again play it safe.

If you’re not linked to another site or vice versa the bots are going to find you the hard way. They are going to hit blocks of I.P. addresses (the virtual address of your website besides the .com part) and look for new pages and sites. The spiders that are doing the research will save your site for export later to the Index.

You’re competing with billions of other sites sometimes all within the same hour(s) to get indexed or get your page “crawled” by the spiders. So to recap so far, when you upload your site it will eventually get crawled by the spiders/bots and it will either get indexed or put in line to be Indexed.

You should make note that no site is just put in the Index right away. It may get indexed but won’t appear in the search results until the Index has been updated. No one knows when the official updates are but they happened every few hours or days.
