There are a few great reasons to buy expired domains. These existing domains may already have incoming traffic, backlinks or pagerank. Below are some ways you can profit from expired domains, and I'll go into the little details later.

Reselling the domain to make a profit. This isn't always profitable, but can be much of the time, with practice. Michael has gotten lucky with this a few times. Look for domains with a PR of at least 4. You would simply register the domain, and then resell it wherever you normally sell domains. Don't expect to constantly get huge profit margins.

Selling links from a high PR site. In order to make this worth your while, search only for domains that have a page rank of at least 5. Domains that are "niche-y" can sell a small number of links and charge more for them. A generic domain/website can get more customers who are willing to pay less. In order to keep your pagerank, adding original content, getting links, and making your site sticky will help.

Depending on the domain name, you may be able to set up a human edited directory and accept only paid submissions. This also depends on your page rank. Running a directory can be very profitable, but it's a headache to deal with all the Spam. Hiring some employees will make it easier on you when you have the capital to do so. By the way, having your submitters require to sign up for your list is a great way to up your profits even more.

If you know the website is getting a lot of traffic, redirect the domain to a related site of yours and benefit from the traffic. Some will still have backlinks that might benefit you.

Front loading or inventory loading is more of a business maneuver where a distributor decides to buy lots of products in an effort to meet his quota or target faster and even buy his way up the ranking system (not usually at the entry level of the business).

Front loading can also occur when new distributors buy positions especially those at a medium to higher level. I have personally seen people invest more than $100,000 in buying products when joining a network marketing company.

More than they would like to admit, they are more interested in climbing the ranking and not as interested in using or selling all those products. Their decision in purchasing those products is purely to be in a more strategic business position (higher rank means better income) and most of the time, those products sit in their store rooms or under their beds.

I would like to stress that there is no crime or unethical actions in doing this. However, the danger is that many people fail to control their finances properly and that leads to financial struggles and ill feelings towards their company and their upline.

Furthermore, many people new in this industry make the serious error after they buy up their position. They sit around thinking that their ‘investment’ will grow. This kind of thinking is extremely wrong because after you have bought your position, you are not making any income (in fact people who build their network the ‘slower’ way has a more stable income than you) and you should work even harder to build your network since you have spent more money than before.

Create Positive Affirmations - The reason for writing goals for your business is the same as creating positive affirmations on paper. What your eyes see and ears hear, your mind will believe. Try it! If you work on a computer this is even a greater problem because before you realize it – you’ve been working in that same position for hours. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise - I know that lately it seems that “exercise” is the cure-all to every physical ailment or your love life, but despite that there is some truth to that ugly word. By “exercise” I don’t mean that you should go out and join a gym and spend your lunch-time, 3-days-a-week there working out. What is really beneficial and workable is that at those chiming alerts from your computer, get up and walk around your desk or room. Maybe go outside and get the mail and enjoy the sunlight (if you’re an entrepreneur that has a home office), or just get up and do a few stretches. Concentrated, tense thinking – typing - plotting plans - or whatever your work, makes all those muscles tighten up and knot up. Then when we move we “ooh” and “ouch” because we’ve knotted up into a ball of tension. Periodic stretching, even at our desk, or just getting up and walking over to the window and getting a different view can help. One of the greatest disservice modern business décor has done to us, is making our offices pristine, sleek, unencumbered spaces. There is nothing more relaxing than getting up from your desk and walking over to a peaceful, serene, seascape or pastoral painting and just drinking it in visually. Momentarily transporting your mind out of work and into that place does wonders. A few good paintings and less shiny chrome in offices would benefit us all.
