Chapter 6 Easy Ways to Remember Subjective

Synopsis

Subjective thinking is the opposite of objective thinking. You cannot point to subjective subjects. They are all kept in your head as well as your past experiences. Subjective opinions are not permanent and subject to various factors that may range from facts to emotions. If you are still confused with subjective, there are ways on how you can remember it.
What Are the Ways to Remember Subjective?

There are plenty of ways on how you can remember subjective. Whatever your profession is, these ways will help you think subjectively in an efficient manner. Some of these are:

Opinions

When you are making opinions or heard them, you have to keep in mind all the time that these are subjective. Subjective thinking involves your opinions on particular things. No matter how harsh they are, you are being subjective. Take note that you are only objective when you are touching things or objects that you see around you. But, once you have made opinions about them, you are thinking subjectively.

Past Experiences

Thinking or knowing your past experiences is subjective. It is because these do not involve objects or things. Your past experiences also involve various emotions. Your experiences may be sad or happy. But, no matter what the emotions involved, you are being subjective. Therefore, whenever you are thinking of your past experiences because of reading, watching a movie or telling your stories to other people, you are subjective. The subjects don’t matter. As long as there are no objects involved, you are subjective.

Emotions

Emotions are also another way that you are being subjective. With these, you will easily figure out that you are thinking subjectively not objectively. Therefore, whenever you are dealing with emotions, whether you are at home or workplace, you are being subjective.

Feedbacks or Comments

When reading feedbacks or comments online or in newspapers, you are subjective. No matter what the subject is, you are subjective once you have read comments or feedbacks from any person. However, if you are going to feedback by relying on a particular object, you are being objective. So, be careful when you encounter this scenario. It is because this has a huge difference and may matter in the long run most particularly if you are going to make decisions out of your thoughts or feedbacks you have made.

Reactions on Something

Whether your reaction is violent or not, this is still another way to remember subjective. Since your reactions or comments also involve your feelings or emotions on a certain subject, this means that you are being subjective.

Chapter 7Examples of Objective Thinking

Synopsis

Now that you know when to be objective and ways to remember objective, it is now the best time to find out the examples of objective thinking. There are several examples of objective thinking. Through these, one will be able to distinguish objective from subjective without the need to be confused with various thoughts they have in mind.

Examples of Objective Thinking

There are lots of examples of objective thinking. Some of them are but not limited to:

Scientific Facts

Scientific facts are objective because most of them are backed up with objects. For instance, when you are dealing with fossils, you are being objective because they will not tell you the things that happened from the past. You will rely their years of existence, uses or purposes on their physical appearance. Through several tests, you will know what they are made of and how they are made without depending on the opinions of other experts as they can’t tell these facts.

Professions

There are several professions who are practicing objective thinking. One of these is the veterinarians. Since animals can’t talk to vets about what they are feeling or what pain they are experiencing, vets rely on the physical attributes of the animals. They can’t depend on what the facial expressions of the animals. They can’t even conclude their diseases by seeing something on their body. But, in order for them to do this, they should consider several tests that will allow them to know the truth and the accurate things regarding their diseases or what they feel in their body. With these tests, they can assure that they are on the right track of knowing the diseases of the animals.

Another profession that is practicing objective thinking is law enforcement groups. They can’t just say that the case is true or false by relying on their opinions or comments from other people who have seen the crime. Their judgment should rely on the objects that are involved in the scene. With these, they will be able to know the real and truth behind those that happened.

Observing the Weather

More often than not, many people believed with what other people say when it comes to weather. But, what they don’t know is that observing the weather can be objective. The reason behind it is that weather can’t tell them anything about the temperature or anything that would relate to it. Through observing the weather, one will know if it will be a sunny or rainy day.

There are other examples that will let you think objectively. But, those are the common examples that most people encounter. So, if you want to think objectively, make sure that you keep in mind those examples provided above because they can be your guide.

One of the common questions is whether the dog needs to be given vaccination on the first week of age or not. The dogs need not be vaccinated within five to six weeks of age. But, if they did not receive vaccinations, then the vaccination against the parvoviral infections used to kill viral vaccines and measles disease may be given.

Another common question is whether dog is to be given bordetella disease vaccine and lyme disease vaccine. No, these vaccines are only optional. Can the parvoviral vaccine can be used in first week of life? No. This will interfere with maternal antibody levels.

Can a pregnant animal be vaccinated? Yes. Two to three weeks earlier to pregnancy activity that is expected, the pregnant animal may be vaccinated against viral diseases. This helps to provide maternal antibodies to the young one to be given birth. Is there any need to give rabies vaccine to dogs? Yes. It is a must to go for the anti rabies vaccine for dogs.

When this anti-rabies vaccine is given to the dogs, what precaution does one need to undertake in this regard? Rabies vaccine is given at age of thirteen to fifteen weeks of age and should to be repeated in fifteen months and then once in three years. It is important that the dog is given this vaccine.

However, this depends on the risk area. Is there any need for canine distemper vaccination in case of dogs? Yes. There is a specific requirement in the case of dogs for the vaccination against the canine distemper. This disease is more prevalent in most of the countries.

Is there any vaccination against leptospirosis and at what age, the dog is to be vaccinated? This is to be given at age of at six to eight weeks of age, again at tenth to twelfth weeks, and again at thirteenth to sixteenth weeks of age.

28. Spaying and neutering

Spaying and neutering of dogs are highly wanted if you don’t want to breed the dogs and however, these activities need to be carried out by qualified veterinarians specialized in pet care and management. Anesthesia is required along with due surgical procedures for carrying out the spaying and neutering.

One has to understand first the terms like spaying or neutering. Both are related to the surgical approaches of sterilization in case of females and males respectively. However, the term neutering is also related to such procedures in both sexes. Accidental pregnancies that are not wanted can be highly minimized by these procedures.

Spaying and neutering helps to prevent occurrence of pyometra, which is a common reproductive disorder-giving problem to the dog owners. In male dogs, the neutering helps to prevent the occurrence of prostate enlargement or cancer. Hence, these help to minimize the incidences of reproductive disorders in dogs.

By these spaying and neutering, the male dog's desire in search of female dog in heat is highly minimized and hence, wandering of male dog is reduced. The animal becomes calm also by these surgical remedies. Territorial behavior of these animals is also highly minimized by these in case of male dogs.

Spaying of your dog before the occurrence of first heat is the best one to avoid the incidence of breast cancer. If the dog is spayed after the first heat, the chances of occurrence of breast cancer in them is more and has been proved by research. Younger group of dogs need to be subjected to these operations to avoid complications in future.

Many veterinarians prefer the spaying and neutering of dogs only at the age of five to six years. However, these can be performed even at the age of three to five years. Postoperative care needs to be followed meticulously to avoid the occurrence of infections by microbial organisms.

29. Spaying of the Female dog

Spaying of the female dog is undertaken to control the unwanted pregnancy by crossing of some unknown or country or non-descript dogs. The spaying of the dog reduces the aggressiveness of the dog. By spaying, one can reduce the incidences of the commonly encountered reproductive diseases like pyometra.

Spaying also helps to control the population in case of stray animals and many nations are doing these operations by removing the ovaries from the female animals. Experienced veterinarians are required to do the spaying in case of female dogs and the postoperative care is to be given more emphasis. If proper control measures are not taken after the surgical operation for the removal of ovary, then the infections may start setting in and the animal may end up in development of peritonitis and then toxemia sets in, causing unwanted health problems.

Death of the dog may finally occur, if the dog is not provided an effective and proper veterinary care. A female dog that is spayed before the occurrence of first heat will have almost a zero chance of development of mammary cancer, which is more common with the dogs that are not spayed.

A female dog generally comes to heat once in eight months or so. During the heat occurrence, there is bleeding from vagina and the dog may cross with the unwanted male and the spaying activity prevents all these.

In case of aged dogs, the dog may often get signs of increased thirst, anorexia, vomiting etc. that are so common with pyometra.

Pyometra means the presence of pus in the uterus. Once pyometra occurs, it involves many discomforts to the animal in addition to the cost factor involved for the therapy also. Such pyometra is totally prevented by spaying because in the case of spaying, you are removing both ovaries and the uterus.

30. Surgical neutering of the male dog

Surgical neutering of the male dog is important in helping the dog owners to control the male dog’s aggressive behavior. Yes. By doing the surgical neutering, it becomes possible to control the dog’s restlessness, which might have caused so much agony for the owner and hence, neutering corrects such activity to the benefit of the dog owner.

When the dog is in puppy stage, the dog may be subjected to the surgical neutering technique. Hence, the hormonal impact is highly minimized in such male dogs.

By some considerable margin, First Kiss remains one of the most viewed viral videos, with over 70 million views within its first month of release. The film's director, Tatia Pllieva combined a gamut of emotions- curious, awkward, coy, tentative and gauche- to create a passionate three-minute montage involving 20 strangers kissing for the first time.

Director Pllieva brought together 20 young -or mostly young- strangers, all good looking, gay and straight, to kiss each other for the first time, and what ensued was a compilation of adorable elementary reactions in adults who found themselves in a slightly awkward but exciting situation. The heart races for most of the participants as they tentatively attempt to make small talk, each person wondering if they should make the first move, most are embarrassed by try to conceal it with laughter; but all this sort of fades away when their lips meet.

The partners are seen exploring the kiss and slowly turning it into a mushy, passionate chemistry that most people long for, and which can happen to anyone, with anyone, and at any time. The video was shot entirely in black and white and it seems to trigger nostalgia and longing, instead of discomfort.

Now, think any of this was luck? No. It was the careful manufacture of content married to extensive and rigid research and an artfully plotted strategy. You may have seen videos of sneezing panda cubs or cute cats doing the rounds online and when properly executed, these videos are hugely successful because they pique at people's emotions.

I would like a viral video!

Every brand wants their videos to go viral but of course most of them go largely unnoticed. The key to driving engagement and sharing of your video is to target specific emotions, and really tug on that leash. Most marketers understand this and some manage to make memorable videos but there's always the challenge of blending those emotions in a way that causes the right effect.

Next time you want to make a marketing video for your brand, consider these factors:

1. Emotional appeal

As Bruce Lee once said so memorably, 'We need emotional content'. If a video makes you feel happy, shocked, angry, tearful, etc, it has great potential to achieve multiple shares. Strong emotional reactions are what marketers go for but like your marketing professor always said, it's best to keep things positive. Videos that cause positive reactions are more likely to get shared than say, a video that causes anger or disgust.

Most of the videos getting millions of shares across multiple social media platforms all elicit strong emotional reactions. Whether these emotions are positive or not, you have to really nail it. Budweiser nailed it with their Puppy Love commercial during the 2014 Super Bowl. Its a perfect example of a super shareable video, involving love, friendship, the cutest puppy ever, and a happy ending that pulls at your heartstrings.

They got a mix of emotions and worked them into a lovely commercial; but, like most viral ads, they don't scream Budweiser throughout the ad, in fact, the brand only shows up at the end of the ad, where it then closes with a clever hash tag #BestBuds.

3. Humor

Humor plays a huge role in making videos go viral. Of course the content varies and what makes one person crack up tends to be subjective, but generally, some things are simply funny. Watch a few ads containing humor, such as Old Spice's 'The Man Your Man Could Smell Like' ad, or that other one, 'Gangnam Style' by Psy.

These videos can be shared across all demographics, because they appeal to just about everyone. That's the power of humor; it appeals to a wider audience and if the video makes people laugh, it will be shared.

4. Children and animals

For some reason children and animals, whether used together in a video or respectively, they really take over the Internet. It could be because it's harder to script a video involving kids or animals- because they're harder to control- or because they are naturally funny, cute and genuine.

Whatever the reason, videos such as Charlie Bit My Finger or Otters Holding Hands are Internet sensations because they are either funny or cute.

5. Parody

Dozens of brands have parodied popular videos for their own agenda and in some cases, they experience great success. Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball video for example, has been parodied hundreds of times by individuals and brands, but of course it helps that the singer has millions of followers and she's naked on the original video.

Videos that allude to popular culture in funny, silly or outrageous ways have great potential to go viral. Kanye West's video for Bound 2 is one example. The video is so idiculous it caused an Internet sensation and resulted in multiple parodies, done by different people across the world, including one by Seth Rogen and another one by James Franco.

Why are emotions so important?

Digging into this whole concept of using emotional content in video

advertising, a study was conducted by Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science, in an effort to understand how emotions play a role in medial social sharing. After analyzing 355 billion videos from a popular video distribution channel and analytics platform, Karen Nelson-Field, senior researcher at the institute found that videos that triggered strong emotions from the viewers, positive or negative, were twice as likely to be shared across social media as those that contained a somber message.

The study also looked into the various emotions that ensued from people watching the videos, and they found that positive emotions- mainly exhilaration- were the most effective in triggering sharebility. The second positive emotion was found to be hilarity, and as marketers have discovered, these emotions help viewers remember the the video- and they hope, the brand.

While emotions are universal, you also need to remember that different people respond differently to specific kinds of emotions. Strong emotions tend to cause subjective reactions so understand your audience well when developing the video. If you keep their emotional baseline in mind, it should help make the video useful for your brand.

Video marketing can do wonders for your brand, but it takes considerable effort to pull all these elements together and create a system that works. Few people get it right the first time; even experienced marketers make blunders when strategizing on a marketing campaign, but there's always another angle to explore, a new opportunity to reach people, so failure shouldn't hold you back.

"Discover the Simple Solution to Posting Expiring Content Without Ugly 404 Errors or Endless Manual Updates"

Dear Online Business Owner,

If you sell anything online, then you know that special offers are proven to drive sales. They offer a sense of urgency that compels buyers to take action, and they enable you to raise your prices later with no regret.

The only trouble is, managing all the sales pages and related content - especially on a busy site - can be pretty cumbersome.
How (and Why) a
Limited-Time Offer Works

We're human, and we procrastinate. And because of that, those last minute sales can really add up! Top marketers have been taking advantage of this very human trait since the first salesman pitched his tent.

Not only that, but when buyers know they are going to miss out on a potentially great deal if they don't act fast, they are more likely to take action.

Both of these facts can add up to big sales for you. But of course, there's a downside as well.
Managing a Limited Time Offer Can Feel Like a Delicate Balancing Act

Let's face it - there are a lot of moving parts to keep track of:

Shopping cart links
Coupon codes
Email schedules
Promotional material
Affiliate support
Blog posts
Landing pages
The list goes on...

It's easy to see how quickly a special offer can get out of control. You need a whole team just to keep track of the timing!

Luckily, we've got a lot of tools at our disposal to help make this task easier. We use email managers that schedule our emails, shopping carts that allow us to set expiration dates on coupons, and WordPress, with its ability to schedule blog posts ahead of time.

Why Do We Fear Ourselves?

One fear that many people have is a fear of who they are and of what they know. Self improvement is an endless quest for many people who are striving to be the person they think, or have been told, they should become.

The sad fact is that everyone has a multitude of gifts that they don't recognize as such. The issue is for you to recognize them and feel confident about them. When you stop and take a good look inside yourself, you may find that there isn't that much that needs fixing.

Try to uncover what your gifts are that you already possess. You may feel happy about where you live, you have a loving family or you may be a wonderful listener. Other gifts include being true to yourself and others. When asked for an opinion you simply reply with your honest thoughts.

Not all of these things are taken in the right manner by everyone. All of a sudden you are being told that you shouldn't do or say this. You are told that you should think before you speak and worse.

When you hear these things repeatedly you start to believe in them. You begin to look for ways to improve yourself!

Instead of succumbing to pressure to change, take the time to discover your inner gifts. Then learn ways to display these traits with confidence. Yes, this can be easier said than done, but by doing so you are conquering a fear and improving your self confidence and your self esteem.

Let's take a quick look at some gifts that you may fear.

Surprisingly, some people are fearful of their gift to love. Love and passion run deeply in all of our lives, sometimes he intensity of these feelings can be overwhelming or downright intimidating.

How many times have you found yourself reacting fiercely when someone you love is put in danger or threatened? This power can be scary because you may feel as though you are the one frightening others.

Many parents often tell their children to not wear their emotions on their sleeves, or are told to tone things down. Children and teens often feel as though their passion gets them into trouble. So they start to suppress these feelings instead and that is not always a healthy choice either. It is one way for a child's self esteem to become drained.

Vulnerability is another gift or trait that goes directly to your core. Who doesn't have sympathy and feelings for others when things go wrong? Who doesn't cry at the sad parts in a movie? Everyone is sensitive what differs is how much of this sensitivity you allow to show.

Children are instructed to toughen up and not be such a "cry baby." So they stifle their emotions and even fear showing their feelings. Some people naturally feel emotions more deeply than others and this can lead to children and teens becoming the target of bullies. They are viewed as sissy's and are made to feel alone and different to everyone else.

Another question many people want answered is who they are and what makes them different to everyone else? This boils down to your originality. Like snowflakes, everyone is different, unique. Honestly the world would be a boring place if everyone was identical.

For many people these concerns over who they are can be deeply seeded. They often wonder if they will fit in or if they will ever find someone to love them. Instead of allowing their originality to shine through, they often go the opposite route to hide themselves behind a mask.

If you feel that any of the above applies to you, you need to remember that these qualities are your gifts. It is what makes you unique so you don't want to allow anyone to rob you of these things.

In order to appreciate your own originality you need to uncover your fear and start to love yourself. You can do this by incorporating the following exercises into your life on a regular basis.
