Subject: [DAY 15] Outlining Your Sales Letter Part 2

As you continue to work on your sales letter, a few points to keep in mind with the Warrior Forum.

First: No income claims are allowed. You can't tell readers that they will make $XXX amount of dollars in a certain period of time.

That would go for exact number of subscribers someone could get or website traffic or rankings. You can say this will help you get subscribers, higher rankings or website visitors, but no exact numbers allowed.

Second: Blind sales copy that doesn't explain what the buyer actually will learn or the method taught, is not allowed. If you are confident in what you are teaching and it works, you should have no problem helping people making an educated decision to buy.

If you have to trick or hide what you are teaching to get buyers, this won't make for a good experience for either of you with increased refund rates and buyers who don't trust you and unlikely to buy affiliate offers you recommend.

Third: You need to have a clearly stated refund policy. No matter how good your report it, you are going to get a small number of refund requests. This happens to all of us so don't freak out when you get your first. Here is a simple refund policy you can use that helps keep serial refunders at arms length.

"Use the methods taught in the report for a full 30 days. If you don't get results as taught, contact me for a full refund. Thank you!"

Then if a buyer hits you with a refund request, kindly ask them for examples of what they did during the past 30 days and see if you can help them before issuing a refund. After you reply to their refund request, 90% will just move on and not even bothering to try to get their money. Win for you!

Fourth: You need to include contact information for support. For this just use your email address from a domain. Do not use a free email provider like Gmail or Hotmail. Keep it professional with your new business.

For homework continue to work on your sales letter and make sure you addressed the coaching points from today's lesson. By tomorrow it should be about complete and take another look at it for edits or areas of improvement.

Number 16:

Subject: [DAY 16] Report and Sales Letter Completed?

By now you should about have your report and sales letter completed. Don't worry about creating a complete graphic sales page, we are going to be uploading it to the Warrior Forum in a few days where text based sales letter are the norm and even sell better in most cases.

Once your report is completed, you can save it as a PDF and take a look at the version your buyers will receive. Check through for any style edits that need to be made and spend the extra time here making sure you report looks professional and not styled by a high school student.

Once your report is completed, move onto your sales letter. Even though this will be test based, there are some things you can do to give it some POP and keep the reader engaged.

First: Each paragraph should be no more than 2 sentences. Make it easy to digest and flow for the reader.

Second: Bold, underline, italicize, upper-case or combination at least one emotion word in each sentence. Take a look at the example here for a list building report:

"All thanks to a simple method I used to monetize free subscribers immediately after they 'opted-in' WITHOUT them needing to pull out their credit card or log into their PayPal account!"

The reader's eyes are drawn to simple method which is what buyers want when buying a report and the word WITHOUT which further let's the reader know the subscriber has less steps to take, thus simpler for them also.

Third: Your main header sentence will be in large font, centered in the page. Use a different color like Red to make it stand out and add emphasis. Start off with a hook word such as, GET, LEARN, MY EXACT, STEP BY STEP. Tell the reader right off the bat what they are buying in once sentence. Avoid asking a question here because if the answer is no, you have lost a potential buyer before the read on and let the sales copy do its job.

Fourth: Include the product 3d cover image when you introduce the solution.

Fifth: Include a real photo of yourself in the sales copy at the end when you are closing it down. Even though you already have a photo in your profile, this will help people know they are buying from a real person and will increase trust and conversions.

As you were doing your sales page research, compare your layout to the other text only sales copy examples that sold well. You will find common themes and trends that work well for all.

Subject: [DAY 17] Setting Completion Goal and Launch Date

Congrats for making it this far! A large portion of people who say they want a real online business aren't willing to put in the work with product creation. Those that can and aren't afraid of a couple hours researching and writing every night, are the ones that go onto the $100 a day level and beyond very quickly.

By now your report and sales letter should be completed. You still have time to make minor edits here and there but you need to keep moving forward to your launch date. Even though there are less than two weeks left in the coaching emails, choose a date outside of 2 weeks, especially if this is your first report.

That will leave room for lessons that take you more than a night to complete or if you need a night off or two to spend time with the family. I know life can get in the way but keep your end goal in mind.

If you are working a day job, have your first launch on a weekend so you are present should anything be needed or launching in the late afternoon after you get home for the day. Pick a day? Good! Write it down and stick it on the wall next to you!

Social media offers you an incredible amount of data on potential customers, such as what they like, what they watch, what they follow, personal information, and the list goes on. To date, there has never been the ability to easily collect so much information on customers and potential customers. The use of social media is affordable and readily available. Many refer to it as the biggest marketing tool to ever be available.

Now I would keep a daily budget of $5.00 and pay 0.60 per 9,100 impressions. I prefer to pay per impressions as opposed to paying per click.

Once you have created and customised your ad simply click “create ad” until you see a screen that looks like this.

Simply click “Place order”. Your ad should then be live after a few hours.

Making the Sale

What I'm now going to tell you is quite easily one of the most powerful strategies you can use when it comes to getting people to join your membership site. I had to carry out months of testing to really find this out.

Before I tell you let me just say that when I first built my site I charged people $1 for a 7 day trial because I was seeing a lot of other sites doing this so I thought well surely this must work.

Boy was I wrong.

What I found was happening was people were joining, going through most of my content within the 7 days and then cancelling their subscription which as you can imagine meant I was not making hardly any money. Something had to change.

What I did was something that would prove to be the most profitable tweak I have ever made in my business.

I changed the 7 day trial of $1 to a 24 hour trial of $1.

That one tip alone is the worth the cost of what you paid for this report.

What you will find is as long as you have a fair amount of content in your site, when you use a 24 hour trial for $1 not only is it a very low risk so it's a bit of a no-braier but by it only being 24 hours they will not be able to go through much of your content in that time so they will feel much more compelled to stay and pay the full months subscription.

If they do this you have just made $10, $17, $27 what ever you charge.

Once they are in your site, it will become a very valuable resource where they can come back again and again and go through more content and this increases the retention of your members.

This is how I have managed to generate a 6 - 12 month retention rate on $17 per month monthly subscription.

Aim for getting as much content in your member area as possible so that you make it as hard as possible for someone that wants to leave because they may feel that they are giving up a very valuable resource where they have a tonne of information all in one place.

Cross Sells and Maintaining your Members

Once you start to build an email list of membership customers you need to treat them a bit differently than normal buyers or subscribers because they could end up staying around for many months so if you start to annoy them by sending too many emails then they will un-subscribe.

What I tend to do is leave them alone to get on with going through all of the content within the members area and only add them in to the odd email if I'm sending out some free info or something.

Below are some other things known as cross sells that you can do to really increase your profits.

Adding links into your members area for “lifetime membership” - This is a really simple tweak but it is very effective because some people will join your site and like your content so much that they want to become a lifetime member. All you do is add a link in your membership site to a page with a payment button where they can buy lifetime access to your site.

Your conversions will not be mega high but you should always do this because some people will take you up on it and it can make you a quick $97 - $500 but the price of your lifetime membership mainly depends on what you charge per month. I have been charging $17 per month so my lifetime membership has been $147 but of course if you increase your monthly price then you need to also increase your lifetime membership price too.

Seeing if they need 1 on 1 help or extra training - Customers / buyers of a membership site are far more valuable than just a normal $10 customer especially if they have stayed around for at least a few months.

If they have stayed around for a while then it means they love your training so if that's the case then there is a very good chance they would like some 1 on 1 training from you and this is where you can offer some coaching at high end prices.

The best way to do this is you can either add some links into your membership navigation bars the same as what you do for the lifetime membership option and link to page where you offer coaching and also give them an opportunity to speak to you direct.

I have found that using Survey Monkey is a great way to schedule calls and it's very professional too and also great for only attracting your most qualified and most serious leads.

That link goes to my page where you can fill out a form and schedule a call with me but if you were to use it then your page would look very similar.

Another way is you can set up follow up emails to go out and within the emails you can again link to your coaching sales page or a page where they have the opportunity to schedule a call so they can speak with you direct.

Scaling for Big Profits

If you really want to take your membership site to the next level then you just need to basically focus on the things that are working and do more of it, it's that simple.

One of the best things you can focus on is your affiliate program. Leveraging the power of affiliates to help build your membership site is very effective and things can build pretty fast.

Also focus on creating and adding the most amount of information as you can because this will help with your retention rate. If you have more info and content on your site then your members will feel more enclined to stay for longer.

One of the most important things you also need to look at and focus on are your conversions on your sales pages. When you start to send traffic to your sales page you will start to see how much traffic you need to your pages in order to make a sale. So let's say your membership site is $10 per month and you know that if you send 100 people to your page 3 people will join, you then know that to get 30 new members per day you need 1000 people to your page per day. It only ever comes down to numbers.

Expanding Your Sales Funnel

Once you start to get some results and see some success and you are making a bit of money you can then as I said create a product around it and use a section of your product to give away to build your email list.

Once you have a product created which is unique to you you can now build a list of subscribers and customers that know your story and they will get to know you, like you and trust you.

At this stage when you able to make sales of your own product congratulations because you are now in the top 5% of online marketers that bother to actually create and sell their own product.

When someone joins your email list you now have the ability to make money from every subscriber because you can sell your product as your front end product which appears on the next pag after they opt in. You do need to use single opt in too and not everyone will buy but some will.

Having just one product to sell is certainly a great start but there are lots of additional things that you can do to increase your profits.

You can start to increase the size of your sales funnel so instead of just having a front end product that you sell for say $9 you can have an additional product that you sell for $17 and maybe another you sell for $97. All these additional products need to be relevant to your main product.

So now when you build your list you have the ability to make $9 + $27 + $97 per subscriber and believe me some people will buy all of them.

So what happens is when someone buys your product you then send them to your next product which is more expensive. You can keep doing this for as many products as you have. I have always felt like 4 - 5 products in your funnel is more than enough but it's your choice do what you feel comfortable doing.

How about if you add another product into your funnel that you sell for $297?

Yes you can do it and yes some people will come through and purchase all of your products so now you can make $9 + $27 + $97 + $297 per subscriber.

Now we are rolling.

I have actually had some subscribers come through my sales funnel and purchase every single product which has made me around $1000. Not bad considering there is nothing I need to do as all of the products get delivered on auto-pilot.

You see now, by having this sales funnel with products based around information that you have personally put together which is unique to you, you have now separated yourself from 99.9% of other people out there.

This is by far the most effective and most powerful way to begin building authority in your niche and start seeing results and making money and to get to $100 per day online.

Set up an Affiliate Program

Now that you have some products you can add your main front end product to some affiliate market places like clickbank, jv zoo and warrior plus and digi results etc.

Putting your product on these affiliate platforms gives you the opportunity of picking up lots of affiliates which can then send you lots of traffic and sales with no extra work on your part. All of a sudden you are generating sales yourself from your own sales pages when you build your list and also from affiliates that send you traffic.

One thing I will say is you will need to increase the price of your product if you plan on putting it on affiliate platforms so that it's worthwhile for affiliates to promote it. I would recommend you price your product at around $17 - $47 to start with and give 75% commission to your affiliates.

Setting up an affiliate program is a complete no-brainer so make sure you do it because it's all extra traffic and sales.

Passive Income

Building a passive income is something that just about every Internet marketer online wants to build but only few ever actually do it.

A passive income is basically money that you can make online while you are out doing fun stuff but the money continues to get paid to you.

There are two different types of passive income that you can create and set up.

Selling your own products - This is another reason why selling your own products is so effective and powerful because you have the ability to market, sell and deliver your content on complte autopilot. This is the power behind selling information products online.

Once you have a squeeze page set up and you sell products on your thank you page and within your email follow ups then you have the ability to make money passively. You do of course need traffic going to your pages in the first place which is something you need to work on over time but the fact is you can easily create a passive income when selling your own products.

There are lots of other income methods out there where you can create a passive income but it's not really passive because you have absolutely no control over the product being sold so if the product was to stop being sold then you would lose your passive income stream overnight.

This is why it's vital that only focus most of your efforts selling and marketing your own products and not working heavily on income methods once you have your own product.

Some type of recurring membership - This is the other way of building a passive income online but this is a lot more powerful, profitable but it is a lot harder to build.

If you have some type of membership site then you can make money every single month on complete auto-pilot from your paying members.

Membership sites work great but these are only things that you should really create after you have your own products out there and you have built a bit of authority within your niche. I have my own membership site that I have built from the ground up and it's one of my favorite and most profitable parts of my business.

This is why selling your own products and building a list is so important because you can then leverage those assets to help build other things like membership sites.

Finding A Business

Finding a business is not difficult. But you first need to choose a niche you want to target.

Choosing a niche

I would recommend getting into the food and retail niche. Restaurants, coffee shops, and any place that people will go to in order to eat often is a good place to be. Any place that others will go to often are perfect for targeting because they rely specifically on CONSISTENT and RECURRING clients.

You can find the business by going online to sites like Yelp.

I like to use Yelp all the time because almost every business out there has a Yelp page and has claimed their site on Yelp.

Yelp is a good place to go to, but you do need to know that the site does not have their email address.

To find their email address, all you have to do is click onto the business's name, and then you'll see their Yelp page which they claimed and then visit their website.

You should then be able to find their business in their contact us page.

Grab their email address

Send them the email template

"Hi (business name),

My name is (name), and I am an Internet marketing consultant.

I know that at the moment you are extremely busy, so I'll be quick with you! I know you want more customers and clients, and I am here to say that I could help you with that.

Your website right now has the ability to help you get more clients, but as of right now, it's just a place for people to learn about your restaurant.

What if I told you I could get those people on your website to be FORCED into heading to your restaurant whenever you want them to?

Now, you need to understand that this conversation can go a million different ways, you'll get a disinterested reply, an interested reply, and everything in between.

In one of your next emails, you need to make sure you explain how the site works. So here is just an outline of what your next email or so could be. You don't have to use this word for word. Instead, use it as a guideline.

"I have a system I work with online that allows you to do SMS marketing. SMS marketing involves posting up a signup form onto your site that let's people put in their phone numbers. And now everybody who is on the list can receive weekly text messages from your business. If you ever want to get more customers heading to your door on a Monday morning, just send out a text on a Sunday advertising that Monday has a special discount, just let me know and I'll send them a text."

You'll be doing almost all the work.

You could outsource this stuff, but you don't really have to.

You do however have to make them pay a monthly fee.

Pricing

I price this at $497 upfront and $47 per month.

Sometimes, I lower the front side down to $397 and just make the monthly fee $77 a month or something.

You could also give them a one year fee if you'd like, which I have sold before. So instead of $497 upfront and 47 a month, you could make it a smaller fee of $997 and then lower it down to $897 if they won't budge just yet.

Just know that you will be doing ongoing work with clients. I'll get to that in a second.

How does payment work?

You make this a monthly payment, but of course, you could go with a one time yearly fee.

If they want to continue it the next year, it is another $997. You have to pay the website $178 per year, or $18 a month, so you should consider investing in the per year system so you could already keep the cash.

Convincing them to buy like this:

I found that sometimes, business owners just want to know that the money is going in the right place, so don't be afraid to go ahead and offer them a deal

They only have to pay $199 upfront for the first two weeks, and if they don't like it, they can end it and they get back their $99. (If you're going to do this, make sure you invest in the FREE one month, or the $17 monthly fee.) if they want to continue it after the first two weeks, make sure they pay the remaining slants of the upfront cost.

This email is extremely powerful. The email is simple to use and makes the business owners feel as though they want to help you. I closed that client after two nights of emailing. I sold the mobile site for $180. Considering the value I offered his business, I knew that I was making him pay lower than normal, but this is how the email works. While it would have been faster to cold call, I still closed it through emailing. Calling is still important, but that is not something I can do, so this is where things get easy for me.

Whenever I need an extra set of cash to fall into my pocket, I just send out this simple email template and I wait for several hours, and next thing you know, I get emails from different business owners asking me about prices and what I am expecting from them, along with my current work.

How much are they willing to pay if you are just a beginning newbie mobile site designer?

I always tell the business owners after they first officially reply that I am planning on charging around $497 for future designs because it can take me hours and even days for me to complete a site. (Make it sound as if the work you do is tough and hard)

I tell them that I am only charging you $175, $180, or $197. If you want to charge around $297, then tell them that you plan on selling mobile sites for around $597 in the future.

This simple tactic is great, easy, and can get you results right away and faster than what most people think. If you want to get yourself another client within the next day or so, this simple email template can help increase your chances of getting some big and fat cash. It can be a way to deliver quality service since they will agree quicker to paying and buying your mobile site.

While this method does lessen your chances of getting paid above $250 or anything of that price, but it can truly help out with your brand and name, not to mention earn some instant cash.
