Chapter 4: Safety Tips for Riding a Toboggan

Synopsis

Tobogganing is gaining in popularity; more and more people are taking part in it every winter season. This is probably due to the fact that it can be very exciting, can be low in cost, and for some people it can be done nearly right out their back door. As well, it is an activity that can be enjoyed as a family and that is something that is hard to come by these days.

No matter how much fun tobogganing is, it can be dangerous if the proper safety guidelines are not met. It is very important for people to be aware of the dangers involved with tobogganing and also be aware of ways in which to minimize that danger.

The following chapter will go over the importance of being safe while operating a toboggan as well as some safety tips you should keep in mind. There will also be some dos and don’ts that will ensure that you have a fun time but remain safe at the same time.

Always Be Safe!

Safety is always important and should always be your number one priority. There are certain guidelines that if followed will greatly heighten your chances of having fun with your toboggan without anything bad happening like a crash or an injury.

The following are some examples of things that you can do in order to ensure that your tobogganing experience will be a fun and safe time:

Check the Weather

You want to make sure that you check the weather before you go out for some toboggan runs. You also want to make sure that you are checking the weather around where you will be doing your toboggan riding if it is in a different location than where you are now. The purpose for checking the weather is to make sure that you do not get caught in the middle of a blizzard or other dangerous winter conditions. You also want to make sure that the hill or slope that you plan on going to is safe. Check to see if there are any alerts for possible avalanches in the area or spots with thin ice. The last thing you want to do is get hurt or have a member of your family get hurt while trying to have a good time.

Stick to the Daytime

I know that sometimes it seems as if there are not enough hours of daylight to get done what we want to get done, this is especially true in the winter time. The fact is, tobogganing in the dark is extremely dangerous and should be avoided whenever possible. The safest time to enjoy a toboggan run is during the day. There are times when it is safe to ride a toboggan at night but that is only on a well-lit course and never on a course that you made yourself in the middle of nowhere. Most of the injuries that happen on toboggans occur during the hours that the sun is down and visibility is low.

Pick Something Comfortable

You want to select a toboggan that feels comfortable to you. It is important to make sure that the toboggan is the right size and is the type of toboggan that you are used to. Avoid choosing a toboggan that goes speeds that are too fast for you to control or toboggans that are too hard for you to control. This is especially important when you are going to have more than one person on the toboggan since they will be depending on you for a safe ride.

Wear a Helmet!

It is extremely crucial that you wear a helmet at all times while riding a toboggan. Even if you are on a small decline and you feel like there is no danger, you must wear a helmet! This is especially true when it comes to children riding toboggans as you want to make sure that they are in the safest of conditions at all times. It is important that you do not try to cut corners with what type of helmet you get. You need to make sure that the helmet that you purchase is approved by the correct organizations for safety standards.

Know How to Bail

Just as it is important to know how to operate a toboggan properly, it is also important to know how to bail off of one in the case that you need to get off of it in a hurry. It is important that you roll to the side until you come off of your toboggan. Do not try to jump out or go any direction besides to the side. As well, avoid trying to stick out your legs and feet and just roll with the impact. Doing this much absorb much of the shock of the impact and it will barely even feel like you just hit the ground.

Keep the Decline Shallow

It is important that you look for areas that offer a decline that is not too steep. As well, you want to make sure that there is not too much ice. Ice can cause the toboggan to pick up a lot of speed and become out of control. Besides that, ice is much harder than snow and falling hard on ice can cause bones to break or other injuries such as concussions, even if helmets are worn.

Pay Attention to Warnings

If you ever come across closed areas or areas with warning signs it is extremely important that you pay attention to what they say. Never go into a closed portion of a course because it is closed for a reason. It may be because there is threat of an avalanche or because there are jagged rocks poking out of areas with low levels of snow. Whatever the reason is it is just best to stay away from these areas.

All of the previous mentioned are some very valuable safety tips and none of them should be taken lightly. The difference between a fun toboggan ride that is problem free and a dangerous one that ends in bad results is the safety equipment worn and the precautions taken. Use your brain and protect it at the same time, always be safe!

Chapter 8: Strategies for Skateboarding Faster

Synopsis

When a person uses the right techniques in the correct location they can reach some truly remarkable speeds on a skateboard. One important thing to remember is that if you are trying to use a skateboard for the means of going fast, it is probably a better idea to go for something like a long board instead of a classic or street board.

Long boards can be a bit more expensive but you will notice how much faster you can go on them. It can be a bit tricky to master the skill of turning corners at fast speeds, but with enough practice you will be able to do it in no time at all.

The following chapter will go over the basics of skating faster and will provide you with some tips to help you improve your technique.

Go Faster!

There are some very simple methods you can adopt when trying to put more speed into your skating experience. Some of these would require some physical execution while other would be more to do with the mind.

The following are some tips on how to create more speed for your skate boarding experience:

Perhaps skate boarding with people who are more competent in the sport would help the individual to be inspired to push the boundaries and aim for faster speeds. By observing these more advanced skaters, the individual will be able to gain valuable insight on how to create the elevated speeds desired.

Choosing to skate outside the individual’s comfort zone is also another way to push for higher standards and faster speeds. By practicing more and incorporating all the tips learned and observed, the skater will be able to fine tune their skating skills until the desired skills are achieved. Having sound knowledge of all the ways to better the skating techniques will also help in the quest to achieve higher goals.

Bending the knees is also another tip that can be used to create faster speeds on the skate boards as this helps to elongate the stride more effectively. The bent knees will allow the skater to reach out and push much faster during the skating stride.

In order to keep the speeds consistent, the skater would be advised to bring the feet back closer to the middle once the launch into the skating motion is executed. This will not only help to prolong the ride but will also allow1’ for the speeds to be picked up.

Arm movements are also pivotal to the speed increasing strategy. Swinging the arms about too much will cause unnecessary friction that will eventually cause the slower speeds, thus the individual should try to maintain a more aerodynamic position.

Chapter 9: Jumping Tactics for Skateboarding

If you want the ultimate thrill out of your skateboarding experience, jumps are the way to go. It is very important that you are comfortable with your skill level before trying any big jumps though. You can really get an amazing thrill from flying through the air. Most people who have experienced this thrill compare it to what a bird must feel like. For that split second that you are in the air, you feel truly free.

Always wear appropriate safety equipment when attempting to do jumps with your skateboard. Doing jumps and tricks with your board can be a great way of having fun and can be moderately safe as long as responsible safety precautions are taken.

The following chapter will go over some tactics that you may want to try and implement into your technique to better your skill with skateboard jumps.

Improve Your Jumping

Learning how to jump while still managing to stay with the skateboard is something that can be learned with practice and is usually a very common move to master. With some practice and know how, any skater should be able to manage this without much difficulty.

The following are some tactics that should be tried to perfect your jumping motion while skateboarding:

Standing on the skateboard with the back foot just slightly over the edge of the board and the front foot around the middle will help to prepare the skateboarder for the actual jump sequence. The balance created by this particular stance will help to keep the skateboard closer to the individual during the jump.

Bending the knees and pressing the tail end of the board down to the ground with the back foot is also recommended as a good strategy to start the jump and finish it without actually losing complete contact with the skateboard. In quick succession, push the front foot towards the nose end of the board. As the front foot slides up to the front of the board, there should be some added pressure to push the board towards the ground.

Most of these steps if followed well, will allow the board to be as close to the skater at all times and this is necessary to ensure successful skateboarding moves. The motions are designed to simulate the skate board practically sticking to the feet of the skater throughout the continuous skating movements. Wearing protective gears is also strictly encouraged as it will help to cushion any impact resulting from a fall or the loss of balance and coordination by minimizing injury possibilities. Jumping tactics are usually noted for the thrills and excitement they bring out in the skateboarding sport.

Chapter 10: Safety Tips for Skateboarding

Synopsis

The importance of safety in any type of physical activity cannot be stressed enough. This is true as well when it comes to skateboarding. Your body is a precious thing and you only get one. You need to make sure that you take care of your body and that you keep it safe at all times when you are skateboarding. As stated before, never try to do something that is too far out of your comfort zone or skill level.

Always wear the appropriate safety gear and stay away from crowded streets. Common sense will play a large role in keeping yourself safe. You need to listen to your brain when it tells you something is a bad idea, because it most likely is.

The following chapter will go over the importance of safety and will provide you with some tips to help keep you safe.

Step 5: Feel The Fear But Do It Anyway

If I have made achieving goals sound easy, then I apologize. It isn’t as difficult as most people think, but it also isn’t easy. The main reason that it is difficult, even if you break it into small chunks like I have suggested is that you’re going to be overwhelemed with fears when you first start, and pretty much every step along the way, although it does get easier the longer that you have been working on a goal.

Why You Have Fears And What To Do About It

Humans are natural fear-mongers. We are fearful about everything, and it extends to just about every part of our life. We’re fearful about our homes being robbed so we lock our doors. We’re fearful about someone picking the lock, so we buy a dog. We’re fearful about the dog not reacting when someone tries to break in so we get an expensive alarm system. Most importantly, as it relates to our topic, we’re fearful that we’re not going to reach our goals - or even worse - that we won’t be happy once we do.

Fear can hold us back from achieving our goals, and it can be the number one factor for our lack of success. Fear doesn’t just manifest itself once and then disappear either; it comes in a vicious cycle that keeps you from success. For example, let’s go back to Robert and his goal of getting in shape. Reasons vary why someone would want to get in shape. Some people just want to be healthy and live longer, others are doing it for the chicks/dudes (a perfectly acceptable reason believe it or not) and some have serious reasons for doing it like a heart condition, diabetes or they want to become an actor or recording artist and want to be fit and trim to do it.

Robert’s reason - since he’s imaginary I’m imagining - is that he wants to be healthy and live longer. But the first time that Robert heads out to the track to run his 24 minute mile the fears will start plaguing him. What if this doesn’t work? You’ve been overweight your whole life, what makes you think that anything will change now? You’re too old to get in shape. You could lose weight and get healthy and then get run over by a truck, so why not enjoy life?

All of this self-talk that Robert is having (which will very likely be similar to the self-talk that you will have) is based in fear. All of it. And Robert has been letting fear keep him from losing weight his entire life. He starts having these fears, and they start changing his mind about his goals. There is only one thing that you can do with these fears. Ignore them.

They aren’t going to go away. They aren’t going to stop trying to get you to quit going after your dreams. Fears will always exist, and the best way to deal with them is simply to ignore them.

The first step in learning to do so is being honest with yourself. You know that the lies that your fears are trying to tell you are just that - lies. But you want to believe them so that you don’t have to put forth the effort required for change. Don’t feel bad - it’s all part of the human condition and all of us do it. But try to look past those fears when they pop up and truly ask yourself if any of the things that the fears are telling you are likely to be true. Then, ask yourself if you would want to accomplish the goal even if it did turn out to be the truth. You’ll find that the answer will always be yes -you would.

If you are struggling with fears, the best way to overcome them truly is by ignoring them and doing it anyway. Once you have accomplished a few of your checklists, and have reached a milestone or two, you’ll notice that while the fears do not actually go away, they do get quite a bit less persistent and quieter.

If you are serious about your goals, you’ll complete them anyway, even in the presence of fear, and eventually, overcoming those little voices in your head that we all have will be as easy as tuning out low music or muted voices from the neighbors in the next apartment. You will have overcome fear. Now, let’s deal with procrastination.

Step 6: Beat Procrastination In 5 Stages

Overcoming procrastination isn’t going to be easy. If you are like most people who have struggled to reach their goals, you have probably made a habit out of procrastination. It is difficult to break a habit but it can be done. The first step is obviously making sure that you are aware of what is expected of you - what you expect of yourself - and that means putting your goal checklist for the week in a place that you will constantly see it.

As previously mentioned, I suggest putting it right over the toilet, or on the bathroom door, so that every time you come into the bathroom you will see it and be reminded of what you need to do that week. However, as the week continues, you will almost certainly find yourself coming up with reasons why you don’t need to complete the items on the checklist today -even if you have the time. That can be deadly to your plan, because everything rides on you taking those small steps to reach your goals. Here is another (surprise!) step-by-step checklist that will allow you to overcome procrastination when it crops up.

Stage One: Identify the Problem

You’re likely not just procrastinating out of laziness, but even if you are, you need to identify the problem. If you look at your list, and you realize that you could spend the next thirty minutes completing one of the items on it, but you don’t want to do it, or want to put it off until tomorrow, you need to identify why you are feeling that way.

22. Multiple ways to contact: with the phone number on the top, side and bottom, and the address only at the bottom.

Don't waste your readers' time by making them hunt around your site for how to contact you. Make your contact info easy to get to. Put your contact info (or a link to it), on the top of every page.

If you're not printing your phone and/or email anywhere because you don't have the resources to handle inquiries, then do your readers the courtesy of letting them know that, so they don't spend forever hunting in vain for contact info that doesn't exist.

Unfortunately you can't link up your email address with a simple mailto: link, unless you want lots of spam. That's because spambots are good at stealing such addresses from web pages.

Here's another point:

How easy is it for visitors to find your contact information? Do you provide more than just an email address? If the only contact information is an email address, chances are, people may get hesitant to give you any credit card information.

If you're just using an email address, what email address do you use? This is not the place (and time) to use your free yahoo email address or a PO box address.

For clients to feel that you are a LEGITIMATE business, they would want to see:

Your business name

Phone number

Your business' physical address

Your business' email address

Many small business owners that are new to the Internet would say that they are not entirely certain if they want to make the above information available on the Internet.

Well, here's good news: ANYONE can find this information out about you, in a matter of seconds, without you publishing it on your website.

It all comes back to making a decision on how you want potential clients to view your business. It is highly recommended that you place your Company name, physical address, and phone number on every page of your site. Your personal name should be available on both the contact page and the "about us" page.

23. References/Testimonials Testimonials can be an extremely useful sales tool for your website (and your other marketing materials tool). However, they can be just as harmful if you're not careful. Your testimonials need to be legitimate and sincere, and there are a number of ways to ensure this.

Firstly, who are they?

For your testimonials to look legitimate you should at least include their full name (not just their initials), as well as their location. A suburb and state is usually best.

If they are representing a business, then include their business name, and you should also provide a way for them to be contacted so that their testimonial can be backed up. So for example, ask them if they mind if you include their website address.

If you're struggling to find enough people to provide testimonials, this can also be a good way to turn your request into an opportunity for them - you are advertising their business and creating a good inbound link for their website (which is good for their Google rankings!). But always remember to ask for permission before publishing their testimonial.

Including a photo is also a great way to improve the credibility of the testimonial (and definitely don't fake this with a generic stock photo!).

Another tip is to choose testimonials that have a specific message in them. For example, a testimonial like "I chose your restaurant for my mum's birthday, and we couldn't be happier with the service, the food and the ambience. Your lamb shanks and risotto were to die for!" is far more effective than "You have great service and awesome food".

Now where on your website is the best place to put all these great testimonials? The home page is a good place to start.

The more details you indicate to the testimonial, the more credible it appears to your website visitors. Let's face it. There are cheap-looking testimonials that only says "Great product!" with just the initials underneath. The more statements there are in the testimonial, the more visitors will believe that you can deliver results.

Whenever possible, it would also be advisable to add the client's full name, location, client's company, URL if applicable, as well as his photo. This, of course, should be done with the permission of the client.

24. Relevancy: Search engines love website that show relevancy. This is done by picking broad and then drilling down in themes. Always optimize for one keyword per page instead of multiple keywords per page.

The term relevance, according to Wikipedia, is "a term used to describe how pertinent, connected, or applicable some information is to a given matter."

In essence, this should also be your measuring stick as you build content for your website.

Also, keep in mind that when a visitor lands on your website, the very first question they'll have in mind is: "Is this content relevant to me?"

Every click that a visitor makes is made because they have a specific intention, they have a question they want answers for, or a need they want to meet. If they click a banner ad (for example) but your landing page does not satisfy their question, they will click away. This results to a high bounce rate.

Did you know that studies show that visitors decide within 5 seconds whether your page is relevant to them or not? Your challenge is to capture their interest within this short amount of time!

To minimize bounce, create and maintain relevancy. Keep the consistency between the traffic source and landing pages. While you concentrate on one keyword per page, don't overstuff to the point that your content will not make sense anymore. Your readers are intelligent enough to know if you are writing for them or just for the search engines.

There has to be a balance of both.

If you think about it, search engines are actually doing their best to bring customers to your site. Just the same, these search engine spiders are also doing their best to give the most relevant results to potential customers who are searching for something online.

BROADCASTING LIVE EMAILS:

Broadcasting to your list is important if you have content that has a sell by date. Let's say there's a particular product that has just come onto the market and you want your list to know about it straight away. There's no point putting it into your follow-ups because by the time most of your list sees the promotion, it may be too late.

Unlike follow up emails, broadcasts are one time messages that get sent out "once" to your list and that's it. If the response from a broadcast is very well received and the content has longevity, you can simply add it to your follow up sequence if you so wish to do.

Broadcasts are also used when people on your list finish the follow up sequence of emails and are not scheduled to receive any more from you, In this case you can segment your list into sections, where people who have finished your follow up sequence will just receive broadcasts from you in future. Of course, how you play this out is entirely up to you and something you will become adept at doing the more experienced you become at email marketing.

By now you should know more than enough to go out there and start to build that all Important list. I'm not finished yet though, here are 8 mistakes that I see so many marketers make when it comes to email marketing...

8 LIST BUILDING MISTAKES TO AVOID:

Mistake 1 - Being afraid to email your list:

This is something many seem to struggle with. They're not sure how often to email their list. It's simple really, you should email as often as you like, providing you have something of value to send to them. I would suggest that you send no more than “one" email each day though, and if you haven't got anything of value to send, then don't bloody send anything until you do.

Mistake 2 - Not reminding your list who the hell you are:

We are all on many people's lists. 1 don't know about you, but 1 forget who's bloody who after a short while. This is why personal branding is so important. Start off your email by stating who you are. eg: Hi folks, Dr Lector here, today I want to eat your liver, you get the idea. Be memorable, and always communicate your story to your list Building a real relationship is crucial to your success online.

Mistake 3 - Not selling enough:

A lot of people are afraid to sell. 1 find this incredible, but it's true. You must sell to your list, and you must NOT be apprehensive about doing so either. This is what you are online for right? To make money? To sell products? To promote? You should never have a problem selling if the product is high quality. So that's the key, only sell or promote high quality stuff.

Mistake 4 - Selling too much:

Yep, nothing gets me scrolling to the bottom of an email quicker than being sold to every day by the same marketer. How can they even make time to try all these products they are promoting. I think it's safe to say that it doesn't work long-term and it will kill your list very quickly. Personally I think it’s a safe bet to have one promotion to every 3 content rich emails. You can also put a "ps" at the bottom of each email that subtly promotes quality products.

Mistake 5 – Being boring, not being unique:

This is a big part of the whole relationship building thing. It's important to inject your personality into your emails. People need to relate to you. Don't make the mistake of trying to sell, or relate to everyone. It's just not possible to connect with every person you meet. Remember the saying “If you try to sell to everybody, you end up selling to no one"

Mistake 6 - Not making “list building" a priority:

Probably the biggest mistake I see. Too many people leave it far too late in the game to build a list, and others just slap an opt-in form onto their website and hope for the best. List building “IS' the most important part of your business, and if you haven't got a list...you haven't got a business. Okay, that may be a wee bit over the top, but in 90% of the cases, it's absolutely true. Okay, that may be a wee bit over the top too, but in 85% of the cases, it's true. Time moves on, interests move on too, so it's important to have fresh leads coming into your business every single day.

Mistake 7 - Not having enough follow-up emails:

Did you know that the average person buys on the 7th contact you have with them? This doesn’t mean you have to send them 7 emails and your job is done. You have to send 20 - 30 times if necessary. You are not going to promote the same offer within every email, unless you're a one trick pony that is. Follow-up is crucial to your business. Your offer must be seen by your prospects more than a couple of times. Make sure to schedule follow-up emails.

Mistake 8 – Not asking your “list” what they want:

One of the biggest marketing bloopers I see these days is when 'so called" marketers tell their prospects what they want, and then try and sell it to them. Take you goddamn ego out of the equation and genuinely try to get inside the mind of your prospects. You can do this very easily with your list by simply asking them what their biggest concerns are, what's holding them back from achieving their goals and so on...

There are plenty of free tools out there that can help you set up a survey so you can get what you need to help your prospects, and your business. When you find out what they want, go get that product and sell it to them, even better yet, create the product yourself.

So, there you have it. My complete guide to email marketing. You are all set, now go forth and build a responsive list. I no doubt have probably missed out on a couple of pointers along the way, but everything I covered in this report is all you need to be a successful email marketer. I wish you all the success in the world.

Chapter 7: Your "Strategic Profits Blueprint" Overall Plan

Congratulations on getting this far. By now you should have a solid idea of how to go about building a business model that can potentially earn you 6 figures a year. Remember, you can tweak this overall guide to fit into anything you do online. In simple terms all you're doing is...

Finding a niche where people are spending money

Setting up a squeeze page to capture leads

Writing quality reports following a simple template strategy

Creating a OTO sales page to earn instant cash from visitors

Driving targeted traffic to your squeeze page

Communicating with your list via Email Marketing

When you break it down like this, it's very easy to see how the whole thing works. It's not a "fly by night" shot in the dark strategy that may, or may not work. It's a PROVEN strategy that encompasses what every successful marketer is doing to earn a full time income online. Results will inevitably come your way if you follow this formula. But...

You don't have to pick the same niche as I laid out in this guide.

You don't have to write your own reports if you don't want to.

You don't have to use the traffic strategies I wrote about earlier.

You don't even have to sell your own products if you don't want to. You can just build a list of people via your squeeze page and market affiliate products to them via your autoresponder series. If you provide quality information to your email list, you'll make money as your list grows.

However. I do recommend sticking as closely to this guide as much as you can. It's a proven model that works well. The most important thing about following a plan like this one is that you will gain vast experience along the way - and since nearly all successful business models are encompassed in the one laid out in this guide, you will be learning how to implement it with everything you do online for the rest of your career...

"The process will teach you the fundamentals of Internet marketing"

There's still a learning process you'll have to go through along the way - but I want you to think of it as an essential education in online marketing. I picked the "weight loss"

niche for the purpose of this guide - but I could have easily picked an entirely different market.

Let's say you want to enter into a niche where you have a lot of experience. This would be a wise choice for many. It's easier to market in a niche where you feel comfortable. It's easier to write content, Interact on social platforms - and it's easier to build relationships with your subscribers too. But, not all niches are created equal when trying to generate traffic...

In some niches the traffic is so small, that you simply couldn't get enough people to your squeeze page unless you decided to use paid traffic methods like PPC or Facebook ads. This is not a bad idea at all, but there's a learning curve to these strategies that can cost you a lot of wasted time and money. At least if you chose a niche where there's a hungry market, you can then generate traffic for free - make some sales -build a list - and ultimately learn a lot in the process.

You can then take that experience and implement it into a different niche. Only this time you know exactly what you're doing - and you have a lot more confidence in the outcome as a result. That's one reason (among many) why choosing a hungry market is so important in the beginning.

Conclusion:

You will not go far wrong by following this guide step by step through the process. As long as you take consistent action - and you stay focused on your plan, success will come to you. I don't expect you to enter into the weight loss market and become an expert overnight. But, you will become an expert in online marketing and being able to generate consistent income streams.

I didn't start out in the "make money online" market. I started in the self-help market and learned a lot about marketing in that niche. I also made money in the "acne" niche, the "natural remedies" niche, - and even in the "baby stroller" niche.

When you know how to make money in one niche - you can transfer that knowledge into any other market of your choosing. However, if you start off in a niche where it's difficult to make money, you may end up a very cynical marketer with a negative mindset (I've seen this happen time and again)

Do people hate daily emails?

How is that possible? If they really didn't want daily emails, they should just stop signing up to email lists. This will surely solve the problem. Truth is, we all get daily emails. Go to your inbox right now and tell me what you see. Chances are you're going to see emails, right?

So emails aren't the problem. We get them every day regardless. It makes no difference whether the emails are sent from different marketers.

Actually, I would argue that a daily email from one marketer who knows what they're talking about, is a lot better than 20 emails, from 20 different marketers, giving out 20 different marketing messages... that end up pulling you in 20 different directions.

You see my future email marketing genius. It's not that peeps have a problem getting emails every day from the same marketer. They just don't want the same marketer sending the same crappy content to them every day.

Personally, I don't want rubbish content every day ether. No one does. But that doesn't mean your subscribers don't want daily emails. It's a cop-out to say otherwise.

The ones who "really" don't want daily emails, are most likely the same people who have "ADHD" - and who are addicted to signing up to email lists to get freebies. You can make your own conclusion if you want... but these are the people I have absolutely no interest connecting with.

Look at this way: Do you come online every day to avoid learning about your market? Nope. You want to learn new stuff, right? We all do. That's part and parcel of marketing evolution. We educate ourselves. So if you always have something interesting to share with your email list - and your emails are entertaining, do you honestly believe your subscribers will have a problem with that?

They don't - and the opposite is actually true.

You become the constant inside your subscribers inbox when everyone else is just dropping in from time to time.

Imagine saying to your partner "oh sorry dear, I just want to talk to you 3 times a week, it's pissing me off seeing your mug every day" - Smack in the mouth is what you'll get. If your partner is a pain in the butt, you'll end the relationship soon enough anyway.

If your subscriber thinks you're a pain in the butt, they'll unsubscribe... let them, they're not people you are ever going to build a strong relationship with anyway. We can't... and shouldn't try to be people pleasers. No one likes a people pleaser... even people with no friends.

My point here,... is that if you actually like your partner, or close friend, you'll have absolutely no problem hearing from them every day. And this is only a 5 minute email message they have to read anyway. You're not asking them over for dinner and ice cream.

That may seem a wee bit dramatic - and it is, but think about it. Who will build the quicker relationships with their subscribers, the marketer who's just there from time to time, or the marketer who shows up every day come hell or high water? The answer is obvious, providing you're writing interesting and engaging emails.

The more you're there. The more comfortable your subscribers will be with you. This is human nature. Don't believe me? It's true. Take your bad habits for example. You have bad habits, right? But why do you participate in the process of keeping them in your life? It's "familiarity" my genius friend. We become accustomed to whatever we participate in for a sustained period of time. Whether it's good or bad... is not the point.

The more we see something, do something and participate in something... it becomes normal, even if it isn't. That's the power of repetition.

Let me do this another way. I'll give you a couple good, solid reason why you absolutely MUST email your list every day - and then you go make a decision whether or not to do it...

You Become A Better Email Marketer

Writing emails every day makes you a better email marketer. Who doesn't' want this? Think about it. The more you write... the better you get. Who will be a better email message writer. The person who emails 12 times a month, or the one emailing 30 times a month? The answer is blindly obvious.

Not only do you get much, much more comfortable writing emails, but you also have a wider scope of materials to work off. Writing daily emails is not easy. It takes discipline. You will, however, become adept at researching and coming up with new ways and ideas to get your message across.

This widens your circle of comfort and forces you to focus more on the "one" part of your business that you should be giving "at least" 80% of your time to anyway.

Less Spam Complaints, Higher Open Rates

Bet you didn't see that one coming. If you listen to most people who fear sending daily emails, they will tell you that peeps will complain if you send them emails daily. The opposite is true.

People complain when they forget who's lists they sign up to. Have you ever gotten an email from a marketer and had no recollection of signing up to their email list? Yeah, me too, along with the many others out there too.

But that's not possible if you're there every day. Peeps are not going to forget who you are, because you're the "one" person they remember when other email marketers just pop in now and then... and it's usually just to make a sale..

People also complain when they receive rubbish content from marketers, but we've already discussed this. You are not going to send rubbish. Your goal is to build solid relationships with email messages that entertain, engage - and wrap everything up in a nice little story that's easy to consume and relate to.

How To Be Super Productive Personal Use Ebook

Ebook Sample Content Preview:

You will always learn more from experience than you would do from hearing about someone else's experience. That's the key here. Studying is comfortable. It's somewhat rewarding too - and most often we associate these two with "results" which they most certainly are not.

You can read all the books. You can mirror others achievements, but you will never fully understand how something really works unless you contrast your successes against your failures. Read that again.

Mastering productivity will not only increase your success substantially, it will also seep into other aspects of your life as you become the person who just gets it done...period. In order to master such a skill you must begin to place specific deadlines on the most important things you do.

It's one thing to take immediate action when you stumble across something you can use -but that's only half the battle. There are always times when we have a couple of important tasks that need to get done So, we need to assign specific time-frames to important tasks.
We achieve maximum productivity when we assign deadlines to tasks using...

Parkinson's Law:

When I first heard of this law I kinda passed over it at first. I mean, time management and productivity aren't the sexiest of things to learn, but by good God they are essential. After a year or so online without seeing any substantial results from my 12 - 15 hours a day being busy online - I finally woke up to the fact I had a serious problem that needed immediate attention.

It was clear that I wasn't being productive with my time. I now work less time and get twice as much done...at least.

This law states that the task at hand expands to fill the allotted time given to that certain task...

... and if you haven't allotted a specific amount of time for completion of that task... you're screwed I Since time is indefinite, it takes forever to do stuff, which essentially means you end up with a million things needed to get done but you feel like there's not enough time to finish them as they continue to pile up...

... quite a paradox.

Touch It Once:

The only way to get crystal clear about your intentions is to put a specific deadline on whatever you do - and once you touch a project, you finish the damn thing come hell or high water.

The old "touch it once" concept is about "completing a task in one sitting," but that's just not good enough in my opinion. Unless you specify a deadline, you could easily "touch it once" at 1pm and finish it at 4pm - when it could have been completed by 230pm. Total waste of time.

For example...

If you're writing a blog post for your...well...blog, you set up a timer to complete that post in 1 hour. No more - no less... 1 hour tops. It sounds simple, and it is, but what this does is forces your brain to work a lot more efficiently. If you only have 1 hour, guess what? It will take you 1 hour. If you have 2 hours, guess what? Exactly - it will take 2 hours. You've essentially halved your productiveness when it should have been doubled.

Very Important:

You have to make a commitment to use Parkinson's Law with everything important you do online. If, for example, you want to change the theme on your website, you must set a specific deadline for its completion - and after that allotted time is up, you leave it exactly the way it is. It's so easy to get caught up doing menial tasks which should be secondary to the tasks that actually produce results.

Your time is valuable and cannot be wasted by pissing about trying to get things perfect...

"It doesn't need to be perfect - it needs to be done"

If you allot 2 hours for completion of a certain task, be strict enough to tick that task off as DONE once that time-frame has ended. You cannot go over the time allotted.

It would completely defeat the whole purpose of what you're training your mind to do if you allotted 2 hours to finish a task, but ended up taking 3 hours to complete it. Remember, your time is valuable.

One More Example:

If I want to write a new report to give away on an opt in page. I'd prob'ly allot 10 minutes to pick a topic, 20 minutes to outline the structure of the report, and 11/2 hours to write it....

...absolutely no compromising on the times I have allotted to each task. When the bell rings, I move onto the next one. That's it. Done. There needs to be a sense of urgency to whatever important task you're working on. You MUST set deadlines - it's as simple and straight forward as that.

If there's no deadline attached - you're wasting time, and cheating yourself.

If you follow the "study to action" principle I outlined earlier - you'll find that after a short while your content will be everywhere online. That's a great thing. The more you have out there, the more chances you have of connecting with people and making sales.

And...

The more content you have online - obviously you're going to have more stuff to do, right? This is where the power of Parkinson's Law comes into play. Both productivity tips outlined here today complement each other seamlessly. If you master both - you'll meet with inevitable success.

What To Do Now:

Chances are you'll need to sit down and create a plan, especially for the Parkinson's Law method. Nothing too rigid though - the goal here is to work to "uninterrupted" deadlines. That means, if you start something and you have a 2 hour deadline to finish, you MUST focus on that task for the full 2 hours. No email, no social media, no bathroom.

Let's take a look at one of my daily schedules - maybe you'll get something of value from it. This schedule is set up for the Parkinson's Law method, so every action that's taken inside the schedule is 100% uninterrupted time.

Ultimate Internet Marketing Resource Mindmap Personal Use Ebook

Ebook Sample Content Preview:

Looking at that image you will notice the oval “nodes” with a tiny circle at the end of each one. When you click on those “nodes” they will expand to show more information related to the topic of choice.

It looks very small to begin with - but as the nodes expand - you will see just how much information is available to you.

The beauty of these maps is the ability to manipulate them in any way you see fit In this case - with the above map, there will be no need to mess around with it. You can, of course, do whatever you like though. Unlike eBooks (PDFs) you can add and delete anything you wish to...
The Mechanics:

When you have the map open, you simply place your cursor over any topic to highlight it - (you don’t have to click on a “node” to highlight it) Clicking on a “node” will expand that particular branch.

If there’s a small circle at the end of a node, that means it can be expanded.

If there’s a red arrow within a node, that means it is hyperlinked - clicking that node will automatically take you to that particular resource on the web. It really is as simple as that.

Now we have an expansion of the “graphics” node - and as you can see, we have more options to choose from...

I will now click on “photo editors” to expand that branch out a little more. It now looks like this...

We now have the option to either look at “online” photo editors or “offline” (desktop) photo editors. The tiny circle at the end of each node lets you know that these nodes can be expanded once more. Let’s open up each node by simply clicking on them... Below you will see how it looks...

After clicking on each node, we can now see the options we have for what photo editor we want to take a closer look at. As soon as we click on any node with a “red arrow” like the ones above, we will be taken directly to that resource on the Internet.

Yes, it’s a really simple, but very powerful way of keeping a list of massive resources all in one place. When every node is expanded, you quickly see how huge this thing is.

Final Thoughts:

The map provided in the package you downloaded is not only a list of valuable free internet marketing resources from around the web. Well, actually it is, but what I want you to think about is “how can you use the freemind software to create your very own maps?”

This mind mapping software program can be used to create whatever you wish to create. You can use it to plan out your product creation, a strategy for getting traffic to your websites, or anything your creative mind can come up with. The sky is the limit. Maybe PDFs are getting a little tiresome - you could create your next report using a mind map, rather than a PDF document. Just a thought.

So, there you have it. I hope you enjoy the mind map - and may I suggest you take a half hour each day and dedicate it to learning everything you can about mind mapping. It will change how you strategically think - that, I can guarantee.

Social Media Apps

As an entrepreneur in the new age, social media is not just a bonus. It’s absolutely essential. You need to use social media to perform marketing tasks as well as staying in touch with colleagues, clients, etc.

The trouble is, when you’re always on the go, it’s not easy to stay on top of your social media accounts. Apps make it much easier to do this.

Obviously, you can just download and use each app individually, as most social networks do have their own app available. However, using a single app to manage multiple accounts will save you time and frustration.

HootSuite

HootSuite is an amazing app that makes it easy to post to multiple social media accounts at once. Rather than having to log into each individual account to post a single update, just create your post and tell HootSuite to deliver it to any of the social media accounts you’ve added to the app.

You can even use a built-in ow.ly link to track the click-throughs from your posts, making it easy to see which of your posts and which of your accounts is most effective at generating traffic. HootSuite is free for up to 3 social media accounts!

Pinterest

Pinterest is an invaluable tool for many entrepreneurs, not just for marketing purposes, but also for research. Pinterest will allow you to seek out new trends and get ideas for products based on things people are currently pinning in your market.

Facebook Messenger

If you have associates you would rather not have your personal telephone number but would still like to stay in touch with, Facebook messenger can help you do this.

It basically works like text messaging, but it uses your Facebook account as the method of contact. By using the messenger, you don’t have to use the clunky Facebook interface to chat. Instead, you’ll use a more familiar texting type layout.

Facebook Groups & Facebook Pages Manager

If you run a Facebook group or page, you know there is no effective way to manage them from within the Facebook mobile app. However, using the Facebook Groups app or the Facebook Pages Manager app, you can easily manage your groups and pages on the go!

Other Essential Apps

Uber

How many times have you needed a taxi and been unable to find one? If you live in a major city, as many entrepreneurs do in order to be close to their suppliers, funding, etc., you’ve probably experienced this more times than you care to think about.

Uber will let you find a taxi quickly and easily, and it is available in many major cities around the world. You can even link a credit card or PayPal account to Uber so you never have to worry about not having cash for your ride.

Lyft

Lyft is an alternative to Uber for those who disagree with some of Uber’s business practices. (Some people feel Uber is not fair to drivers and charge them too much to drive, making drivers less money.)

Lyft may also be available in areas where Uber is not, so if you try Uber and discover it’s not available where you live, you can give Lyft a try.

Mailbox

Mailbox is an incredibly powerful email client app that will allow you to manage your email faster and more efficiently than ever before. There are bulk actions that make tasks such as archiving and deleting a breeze, and it works with almost any type of email system.

Conclusion

With so many apps out there that target professionals and entrepreneurs, it can be tricky to navigate the waters in order to find those that will work best for you. Hopefully this guide has been useful in helping you identify those that will be most useful to you.

You may find some of these apps aren’t really essential for you specifically, and that’s fine. Each entrepreneur has different tasks he must manage, and these apps focus on a wide variety of different segments.

However, you will probably find that a large number of them will be extremely useful in your day-to-day activities, helping you increase productivity and save you time and money.

The beauty of most of these apps is that they have a free version that will allow you to test out the basic functions without spending money upfront. This will let you get a feel for how useful they might be and how well the interface works for you before you make a commitment to a particular app.
