Chapter 7: Build A Portfolio

Synopsis

As you break the excess spending habit, and fall under the savings habit, you're ready to take on the next step: building investments, retirement savings and real property equity. Sound unachievable?

Investments

Some steps to think about:

Meet with a financial consultant or certified financial planner to view this all important part of your budgeting.

Acquire a solid plan and stick with it. All too frequently we've become complacent when the market is doing well and cowardly when the market isn't doing so well. What sets the successful individuals apart is containing those emotions.

How come it matters: development—personally as well as financially. You've got to go from a spendthrift to budgeter, a budgeter to a saver, and a saver to an investor.

Ascertain what items or issues you're saving for. These may be retirement, a new house, your youngster's education or anything else you choose.

Ascertain when you want to retire, buy a house or send your youngsters to college, to help you decide what percentage return you need to earn on your initial investment.

Determine how much money to invest. Invest what you are able to comfortably afford now, keeping in mind that you are able to change that amount later.

Ascertain how much risk you're willing to take. Many investments bring forth high returns and are riskier than others.

When you decide the amount you're willing to invest, the returns you want to accomplish, when you need the money and how much risk you're willing to bear, assemble your investment portfolio.

An investment counselor or stockbroker is a great source of advice. Tell these advisers your objectives and ask them to propose how to allocate your income.

Reassess your portfolio at least yearly. Study each investment.

Chapter 8: Ways To Save Money At Home

Synopsis

There are lots of ways to save at home.

Change Some Things

Save income on electrical energy.

Put in the new type of fluorescent bulbs in lights you leave on for long periods. They provide 4 times as much light and last 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Likely Savings: $10-$50/yr.

Lower the temperature on your water heater to between 110 and 120 degrees. It's not essential to have it any hotter and wastes energy. Likely Savings: $20-40/yr.

Discover if your utility company offers free energy audits, where they audit your home for energy effectiveness and advocate inexpensive ways to cut energy costs, like insulating the water heater, weatherstripping, and so forth. Just insulating your water heater may save you $25 a year. Likely Savings: $50/yr.

Set thermostats no greater than 68 degrees in winter and no lower than 78 degrees in summertime. Turn your heat down even more at night or when you're not home (unless you've a heat pump, which operates more efficiently at one uniform setting). Each extra degree in wintertime may increase heating costs by 3%. In summertime, each degree may raise cooling costs by 6%. Likely Savings: $325 to $500/yr.

Cut down on the use of your dryer. Not only is it a huge energy drain, it may also suck heated air out of your home very quickly in wintertime. Hang clothes on a clothes rack to dry out and use the dryer for towels and other heavy items. Likely Savings: $25-50/yr.

Utilize your microwave rather than your oven if possible and save up to 50% in energy costs for cooking. Likely Savings: $50/yr.

Always do full loads of wash. A typical full load utilizes about 21 gals of water. A little load uses 14 gals. Several small loads utilize substantially more water than one or two big loads. Over the course of a year, this adds up. Likely Savings: $25-$125/yr.

Run your dish washer only when you've a full load. Let the dishes air-dry rather than utilizing the heat cycle. An average dishwasher costs $60 to $100 annually to run. Likely Savings: $35-55/yr.

Mend running toilets or leaking faucets quickly. An endlessly running toilet may utilize more than 8,000 gallons of water a year. Likely Savings: $25-125/yr.

Put in flow restricting shower heads. A family of 4 may save 8,000 to 12,000 gals of water a year. You not only save on the cost of the water, but likewise the cost of heating it. Likely Savings: $100-$300/yr.

Add fabric softener to your laundry at the suitable point in the cycle rather than adding it at the end and running a different rinse cycle, which may use up to ten extra gals of water. Figure out how much time it takes your washing machine to reach the rinse cycle, and set a timer so you are able to add softener at the right time. Likely Savings: $25-100/yr.

Utilize warm or cold water for washing apparel, and always rinse in cold water. Likely Savings: $50/yr.

Save money on other.

Use basic phone service. Extra services like call waiting and call forwarding may nearly double your costs for the phone. Likely Savings: $168/yr.

If you are able to live without cable, you are able to save between $300 and $600 annually. If you can't live without it, acquire basic service only. You are able to rent a lot of movies for the extra $150 to $600 annually you pay for movie channels like HBO, Showtime, etc. Likely Savings: $144-700/yr.

Plant perennial flowers rather than annuals. You receive a one time cost and enjoy the flowers for a long time, with little additional effort or income. Annuals, on the other hand, call for an outlay of cash and effort yearly. Likely Savings: $100-$300/yr.

The Essential Guide To Blog Flipping MRR Ebook

Ebook Sample Content Preview:

The content on your blog is important - and even more important than your blog’s design.

Sure, the fact that it looks pretty may invite them to sit down and read a while, but what people really come to your blog for is to read it. Without decent content, people don’t have a reason to stick around, or to come back again.

You have to build content on a site you’re flipping, as if it were a site you’re keeping, or else there will be little interest in it from a buyer’s point of view. Luckily, you have a few options for how to get the content.

Autoblog Content

Autoblog content is the easiest way to add content to your blog.

There are several autoblog plugins available for WordPress. Basically, once you install the plugin on the blog, it finds relevant content across the web, and then posts it to your blog automatically.

Some buyers may like this because it means after they buy the blog, they don’t have to worry about new content creation. They can leave it running on autopilot if they want to. Most people who want to make money online want to do it with minimal effort, so if you can make it do all the work itself, then you’re likely to attract more buyers.

The caveat here is that your content will not be unique. It will be on many blogs out there, so there will be no added value from the content. The content posted on the blog may not top quality, or even directly relevant, which can cause traffic to suffer.

While autoblogs have their place because they can be flipped quickly, it’s something I recommend leaving alone, unless you are desperate to make a quick profit. Keep in mind; the profit you do make will be low.

What about PLR?

This content is not unique until you rework it, or outsource it to a writer to rework for you.

PLR, or private label rights content, starts out as original writing, and then gets distributed to people who use the content however they want.

PLR allows you to get ideas for what to write, using what is there for the basis for the content. Once you re-write it, you get the same basic idea, but you’ve created unique content for your blog.

If you use PLR content, don’t just slap it on your blog without making any changes. It’s not a good idea in terms of SEO, which will detract potential buyers.

The best option - Unique content

Unique content is the most valuable time of content. You can use PLR as your starting point, re-writing everything, or you can write something fresh from scratch.

You can either write the content yourself, or you can pay someone else to handle it for you.

If you’re trying to get a start while keeping your costs down, you should write your own content. Though it will take time and effort, you can do it for the first few blogs you build. Once you start making some money, you can start outsourcing that part of the process, so you can build more properties, faster.

Even though outsourcing your content will cost you money, the ability to create more properties will allow you to earn more money overall, quicker than you would if you were doing everything yourself.

If you do plan to outsource your content, make sure you hire someone who is experienced and knows what they are doing. Hiring a quality writer is important, because if you don’t, you could face getting poorly written content that you have to re-write anyway.

Before you hire a freelance writer, take time to look at previous samples of their work, and references from current and former clients. This will help you determine the quality of content you can expect.

Always ask the freelancer about their knowledge and expertise with the subject you want them to write about.

If I’m creating a blog about cooking, ideally the writer I am going to hire has experience in writing about it, and a working knowledge of it... or at the very least, passion about it.

However, any subject can be researched. The best writers will be able to confidently write about something they have no knowledge of, but it is still something to consider as you make your choice.

Also consider what you’re paying. If the quote sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you expect someone to produce content at $.50 per 100 words, the resulting quality will be incredibly poor.

You are better off paying more to writers to ensure you get good quality content, so you have to do little to no re-working when you get it back.

Those are your options for content, but what you choose depends on many factors, such as the type of blog you want to create.

If you want to flip your blog for profit within a short amount of time, then you may want to consider creating an autoblog, or one that uses PLR with little re-working.

If you’re looking for the most profit, you’ll want to produce 100% unique and original content.

Getting visitors to your blog

Yes, you can flip a brand new blog, but you won’t be able to do it for a lot of profit compared to one that is established with traffic.

I’ve already said the most valuable blogs are the ones that are getting traffic and making money. I’ve covered how to build money-making opportunities into your blog, so now, we’ll cover how to build traffic.

Ranking in the search engines

Sites such as Google are looking for sites that give users fresh, useful content. It is their job to connect users with the content they are looking for, therefore they give priority to sites and blogs which provide users with useful, relevant information and which are constantly updated. Google doesn’t really want to point users to a blog where there hasn't been a new post in 12 months.

Build Your Network MRR Ebook

Ebook Sample Content Preview:

USE SOCIAL MEDIA

If word of mouth is a good way to increase leads, and it definitely is, then social media is like word of mouth on steroids. Creating new leads is about connections and interactions. Social media can help with these interactions. It can help you build a network of strong ties That’s why social media should be part of your strategy to generate leads. You can use social media sites in the following ways:

35. Create a quality profile. First and foremost, if you want to use social media you need to have a quality profile. Your profile lets the people who view your page know who you are and what your company has to offer them. Put effort into your business profile on a social media site. Don’t just throw something up there, even if you think you’ll go back later and make it better. Someone might see your site today and the first impression you make might not be a good one. You can put out some quality information, but if they view your profile and it gives them a bad impression, they may never even look at your information. You’ve lost that potential customer and may not have a chance to get them back.

36. Actively build your network. Add people, share things with them, and interact with others. You can’t wait for your list to build itself. Working your social media sites is important. Set aside some time each day to work on your social media network campaign. Use that time to interact with people. Whatever it is from, writing a blog to answering questions from those who visit your site, set the time aside and dedicate it to your campaign. It will produce quality results.

37. Host a webinar. Webinars might not work for every business, but they do work for many. Make sure you prepare well for your webinar and give your viewers what they want to know. When they visit your site, have them sign up to view the webinar. If you have them register for it, you will have their contact information for your list.

38. Answer questions. People often go online in search of answers. They ask questions because they’re having problems with something or need information about something. Go to various social channels and answer those questions. If people are looking for information and you can give it to them, they’ll be more apt to come to you again.

39. Reach out to prospects. Find out where people from your target market “hang out” online. Look to see where prospective leads for your business are engaging on social media sites and reach out to them. Talk to them and let them know who you are and what you have to offer. Find out what it is they want. You’ll be surprised how open people will be when they talk to you, and how easy it is to strike up conversations online. Chat with them and start to build a connection.

40. Share peer referrals. You won’t have the answer to every question that comes your way, and you may not be able to give every customer what they want. Chances are, however, you may know someone who can help with their particular problem, or you’ll know someone who sells what it is they’re looking for. Sharing the name of that peer with others make it will make them grateful and thankful that you took the time to help them.

It will also cause the peer you referred them to refer you to others when situations are reversed. It’s the classic case of “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.”

41. Write ebooks. You can write them and gate them with forms. Remember that publishing information and sharing it online is a great way to increase leads. By gating the info with forms, you add them to your contact list. Ebooks don’t have to be as long as regular books, so they’re easier to write and easier to get out there. If people took the time to look for information online, they could probably find it in many different places scattered throughout the internet. Offering them an ebook with all the information in one place will be worth the price to them. If it’s quality information, they’ll return to see if you have a book about the next subject they’re interested in.

42. Crowdsource content. This involves getting services, content, or ideas by asking for them from a group of people. It works very well with your online community. When you want ideas for your blog, request them from your online community. Each member of your community that submits something will feel like they are part of something bigger. Feeling like you are part of something helps you to take ownership in it. They will take more of an interest in you because they feel like they are part of you.

It is important that you credit your community for all of the suggestions you use. If possible, credit the individual. Let your audience know you listen to them and appreciate what they give you. Using their suggestions will make them want to pass it on. They’ll say things to their friends like, “I suggested... and they used it in a blog posting. Check it out.” Then they’ll share it. Each time they do, you’ll be attracting someone new to your site. They’ll be a new lead, and you’ll have the chance to turn them into a customer.

43. Give a new take on old information. Take quality content you’ve already shared and share it in a different way. If you wrote a blog, then do a video. If it’s in the form of an ebook, then make it several blogs or video postings. Always encourage your visitors to leave their contact information in any of the ways you’ve learned from this book and you’ll increase your list.

Don’t be afraid to reuse blog postings. You may have some great postings that you did when you first started and had a viewing audience of about 10. Now, your audience has grown much bigger. The majority of your audience hasn’t seen this quality content. Use it again, and see what kind of results you get. Be careful not to use material over and over. People don’t like to see the same old thing every time they log onto your blog or website, but putting a new spin on something old, or reusing something not many have had the opportunity to view can be rewarding.

You were given the opportunity to think about how much you wanted to charge for your eBook earlier. It is important that you decide which way you want to go.

Kindle offers you two royalty options when you publish yourself. They are 35% and 70%. The 35% royalty applies to sales in any territories. The 70% option applies to the territories of Andora, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Spain, and the United Kingdom including Guernsey—Jersey and Isle-of-Man, the United States and the Vatican City

If you have chosen 70% then sales outside of the above territories will be paid at the 35% royalty rate.

If you select the 70% option you should also note that the list price on Amazon must be at least 20% lower than any other publisher offering the digital or physical version of your book.

If you have an eBook that is mainly from Public Domain work, you can only expect to receive the 35% option.

Amazon does have a minimum and maximum price list. If you select the 35% option your book must be priced between a certain set amounts (the minimum price is higher if your book is greater than 3mb in size)

You need to consider what is an appropriate price for a book in your chosen category. This will have shown up in the research you did earlier on in the challenge.

If you price your book too low then you may find it is not taken as a credible offering within the category, if you price your book too high you may find you simply are too expensive compared to your competitors.

Kindle allows you to update the pricing on your book at any time once it has been published, but bear in mind it can take up to 24 hours for a price change to become effective.

Today’s challenge is to decide the initial selling price for your book, sites across the Web.

TRACKING YOUR AMAZON KINDLE SALES

Knowing how much you sell on Amazon is probably very important to you, especially if it’s your first book and you’re all excited about it. There are several ways on Amazon to monitor your sales. If you have print books Amazon has ordered through you or if you have a Kindle Direct account, you can track in real time.

DIRECT REAL TIME

You can check your sales updates reports through both Kindle Direct Publishing and Amazon Advantage programs. All you have to do is log onto your account. You can check out your account as often as you want. Once a day is common, but you may want to check it more if you’re running a campaign of some kind, have an ad running, are mentioned on someone else’s site such as an affiliate site, or if you’ve created a blog post that mentions your book.

Other publishers often only give you monthly statements and they send them about three weeks into the next month, so it takes a long time to actually see your results. With Amazon, you can even track print sales through many of their features. They always offer ways to estimate your sales.

INDIRECT TRACKING

Indirectly, you can track your real-time sales in two ways. These are either by tracking the in-stock numbers or you can do it by tracking sales rank. You can find both of these on your Amazon book page. That is the page all of your potential customers can view. These numbers won’t mirror your sales exactly, but they can give you a good idea of how well your sales are going.

Since Amazon has a very large number of books, they can’t keep inventory of books that are slow sellers. If you have a self-published book, it probably falls into that category. Because of this, they will stock just enough as they anticipate your sales to be during that period of time. They base it on previous sales and only reorder when the inventory is low.

They do, however, entice people who browse to buy the book with statements like, “Order soon, only 2 left in stock.” This helps you in tracking. You can check to see if the inventory is changing at all.

You can use the in-stock numbers to let you know how many they have in stock. It will say something like “10 New in stock now” when they order new books from the distributor.

There are a few disadvantages to using the in-stock statistical method.

They’ll only list the number left in stock when that number is low. If you don’t know how many they ordered in the first place, you can’t figure out how many books they’ve sold.

You can only use the “in stock” number if you have a printed book. If your book is an eBook, you can’t track this way at all.

If you use the Amazon Best Sellers Rank, you can also indirectly track sales. You just have to scroll down until you find your book. There will be a separate page for paperback, hardcover, and Kindle. Find the Product Details section. Go to the end of it, and you can see what your sales rank is for your book.

You should know that this isn’t based on just sales of your book. It also takes into account sales of all books that are in that category. If you see 1,000, that’s awesome, but a ranking of 100,000 isn’t in the Kindle market.

If other books in your category are selling quickly and yours aren’t, your number goes up instead of down. It’s not what you want. Your rank goes up when you have more sales relative to the category than other books. They update the ranks hourly.

You should also set up an Author Central account. It’s simple to do, and it will let you see sales information that no one else can see. It only goes to you.

Another way is by the Nielsen BookScan. You can find this in the Amazon Author Central tools. It gives you data for sales of printed books for a period of 4-8 weeks. It’s close to real time and reflects sales of the prior week. It will also show you where they were from geographically. There may be a few sales that don’t show up, but it still gives you an idea of how well everything is going and where your books are selling.

WordPress lets you write either posts or Pages. If you are just writing a regular blog entry, you write a post. These blog posts automatically appear in reverse chronological order on your blog's home page.

Pages are for content such as "About," "Contact Us," “Legal”, and so on. Pages exist outside of the normal blog chronology, and are often used to present timeless, or “evergreen” information about you or your blog site. Evergreen information is information that doesn’t change from day to day. You can use Pages to organize and manage any content.

In addition to the generally required "About" and "Contact" Pages, other examples of common pages include Copyright, Disclosure, Legal Information, Reprint Permissions, Company Information, and Accessibility Statement.

In general, Pages are very similar to Posts in that they both have Titles and Content and can use your WordPress Theme templates files to maintain a consistent look throughout your site.

To create a new page, simply hover your cursor over the Pages button on the left side of the dashboard, then click on the “Add New” on the drop down menu. This will create a template that you can use to create any page you want. You can include text, images, links, videos or whatever you want on your pages.

When you are finished creating your page, just save it and it will appear as part of your blog home page whenever anyone visits it. You can delete a page at any time by clicking on the “All Pages” button on the Pages drop down menu, checking the page you want to get rid of and then clicking on the delete button.

Writing Your Blog: A Primer

Once you have your WordPress account, have selected a theme and have added whatever plug-ins and widgets you would like, it’s time to start creating content for your blog. If you have been thinking about creating your blog for a while, you probably have lots of ideas.

It’s a good idea to create a “tickle file” that you can use to record blog ideas as they come to you. This can be a Word file on your laptop, a notepad on your smartphone, or even a paper notebook that you can carry around with you in your pocket. As an idea comes to you, wherever you are, jot it down. This will serve as a great resource tool later when you are looking for new blog topics.

Before you start publishing your blog posts, you probably want to have a few timeless “canned” posts that you can keep on hand for when you are too busy to write or are struggling to come up with new ideas. These can help bridge any content gap that you have.

How Often Should You Post?

When you first start your blog, you probably are brimming with ideas and will want to publish all the time. That’s fine, but just remember that a month or six down the line, you may not have as much enthusiasm for writing on your blog as you do when you are just starting out, so if you get your readers accustomed to receiving a new blog post every day, it may be hard to keep that pace later. A better plan is to start out with just a couple of blogs posts per week. That way you aren’t committing to a publishing schedule that you may not be able to sustain.

You should try to stick to the same general publishing schedule all the time because as you grow a loyal readership following, they will begin to look for your blog on certain days. For example, if you publish a new blog post every Monday and Friday, they can expect to see fresh content on those days.

Types of Blogs & Blog Posts

There are as many types of blog posts as there are blogs. In other words, millions. The type of blog post you publish will depend on what you want to achieve. You may want to share your passion for your subject matter with other enthusiasts. Or you may want chronicle occurrences in your everyday life, such as your career advancement, battling a serious illness, or your social life.

Generally, blog posts can be categorized into seven major categories:

Personal -- This is the broadest category and includes blog posts people write about their own lives or topics that interest them, such as politics, music, family, travel, and fitness.

Top Ten of Top Tips - These types of blog posts typically list your top ten choices of whatever subject you like, or offer your top tips on a subject.

How-to Blog Post - These are blog posts that education people on the best ways to perform individual tasks. They are frequently in form of video blog posts.

Reviews - There are lots of blog posts that share reviews about restaurants, movies, games, music, booksand so on.

Rant Post - These are blog posts that let you give your opinion on whatever topic you like. It’s your blog, so you can be as opinionated as you like.

Video Post - This is when you make a brief video and post it on your blog. It also can be posted on YouTube.

Audio/Podcast - Make an audio recording and post is as a blog post. You also can post it on iTunes.

Promotional Post - These are blog posts that promote specific products, offerings and events.

Resource Posts - With these blog posts, you list top resources for whatever topic you are writing about.

Developing Blog Topics

As a regular blogger, you will need to be continually looking for new ideas for blog posts you can share with your readers. That means you will need to take time to gather ideas. One of the best and easiest ways to do this is by looking at what other people who write blog posts on your topic are doing.

Whenever other bloggers subscribe to your blog, you should consider subscribing to theirs as well. Not only will it keep you in touch with the online community that shares your enthusiasm for your topic, but it also will provide you with a steady supply of new blog post ideas delivered directly into your inbox.

Before you write a single word, your first week should be spent gathering ideas, clarifying your subject and looking at what other people are doing in order to solidify the concept of the new blog post you want to create.

Business Coaching And Training MRR Ebook

Business coaching is a powerful tool, and it becomes even more useful when reflective language is used, which is the reflecting back of what the coach says in his or her own words. This leads to a win-win situation, ideal for success.

With reflective language, the coach isn’t using mental activity to interpret and there is no need for the coach to become detached from their experience because they are worried about the meaning of the coach’s words. The best coaches use reflective language and while the coaches might not notice when reflective language is used, those observing most certainly do.

The reflective language is intended to help the employees stay connected to their discovery process. The words expressed are then reflected back in as perfect a form as possible so that there is no need to translate them.

Words are let out and then reflected right back, without any resistance. The coach never once questions the words because the words are theirs. The process of reflective questioning is so perfect that the employee doesn’t even notice the sentence construction and they are able to stay focused on their own thinking and discovery evolution.

Sub Modalities

Sub modalities a just experience variants. In coaching, there is the possibility of extending the employee’s experiences in the world by inviting the audience to focus on their experiences and then play them. This isn’t a new concept dating back to the 1960s, but it still remains important today. When you explore the sub modalities of experiences it can lead to a change in visual and auditory representation.

When you watch a person’s language, you will get clues on how they store information. Inviting an employee to experiment with sub modalities of their experience can help them to find ways that are more constructive to manage situations in the future and it can provide a routine support system for those tough scenarios.

Sub modalities can be a bit hard to understand, but there is a great deal of information available online that will help you to better understand. You will even be able to find some working examples.

Reflective language is a powerful tool that business coaches can use when working with employees. It’s a tool that is often overlooked and yet has so much value. Business coaching is a powerful tool that most companies can really benefit from.

A great deal of the time we don’t have a huge selection in who we work with, but we’re yet responsible for assisting them in getting up to speed and working well with the remainder of the team and the organization. This is made even more perplexed by the fact that they may work for a 3rd party so mind share, execution expectations and allegiance have to be built rapidly and frequently from square one.

What are the matters that team managers have to take into account if working with outsourced help?

Worker’s skill and tools/ability: are they competent in whatsoever skills you need for your project (designing, authoring, coding, search engine optimization, back link construction)?

Can they comprehend English language and communicate in an effective manner? Look to their record or portfolio, and references if conceivable. It is likewise all right if you have to train/teach the jobs you require accomplished (like running particular software or executing manual work). This will happen in nearly every outsource project. What’s more crucial is the caliber of the worker; the cheapest choice isn't necessarily the most beneficial.

Worker’s commitment: Does your project call for them to center solely on your job? A lot of outsource workers will attempt to work for numerous individuals at one time. It doesn’t add up for you to pay them to work at projects that aren’t yours. This is where it might make more sense to utilize results founded billing (per project) instead of by the hour billing.

Great help is difficult to find: you'll likely not discover your savior worker on the beginning attempt. You might have to try numerous individuals prior to landing one you like.

Don’t get stung; always keep in contact through the early on stages of your relationship. Require voice chat on Skype to cover questions. If they begin falling out of contact or respond late and begin bringing in excuses, this is a sign of affairs to come and you ought to fire them.

But when you discover a worker you like, pay them promptly and keep them happy. You'll save much time and exacerbation by sticking with somebody you like, even if the rate of pay is somewhat higher than a cheaper worker.

What skills/tools are needed for communication?

Keep technologies simple. Google documents; produce to-do lists and portion out to your worker. Tell them to check over it each day or each week and move whatever jobs they’ve finished to an “accomplished” part of the document. The Google doc will forever be available online, and constantly up to date, easy but amazing.

Skype for oral communication; if they can speak the English language. Telephone them and determine how they’re doing, communication by voice is far more efficient than by instant messaging and gives your relationship a personal touch.

Likewise, any screen casting software for showing instructional videos. You are able to go step by step on your own screen and record sound to explain how to finish jobs.

What tools do managers, particularly managers new to remote leadership, have to build up most?

Dedication to the outsourcing procedure. Many managers think outsourcing is a cost cutting process, and that the economic value lies in saving bucks on a project. They only look to outsource when they require something done. But if outsourcing is done correctly, you are able to automate so many of your businesses jobs and save much time also. Things like data entry, link construction, sort/filtrating/masterminding.

This means you are able to center more of your energy into more complex interests, like working out your business model, or how to acquire more buyers. This is a shift in the state of mind, as you don’t have to spend as much time distressing about menial jobs, and center on larger strategies.

CHAPTER 7 Developing Relationships

You might believe that if unemployment is high and companies are laying individuals off right and left, motivating your remaining employees to stick with you and work as though their hair is a blaze ought to be a breeze. However if employees who have already had to digest salary cuts fear that your business may fail or that more issues are likely, they'll be fast to jump to any occupation that appears more secure. If your workplace is ill functioning, tense, and joyless, they're likely to leave even quicker.

In great times or bad, your business will suffer if you don't keep the dedication of your most beneficial employees. Even as it takes a lot of small business owners 3 to 5 years to truly hit their pace, first-rate employees, even those who may do skilled work from their initial day, become more valuable each month they work for you. Long-run workers establish a valuable mental database of valuable info about your products or services, buyers, colleagues, and suppliers. If they march on, you lose everything they understand.

Your Workers

To amply appreciate how useful it is to preserve great employees for as long as possible-especially during tough times when you've no time to train replacements-think about your own kinships with local businesses. If you have been dealing with the same competent individual year after year, it's frustrative when that familiar face (or even familiar voice) is substituted by a less experienced one.

Hence how do you approach maintaining productive employees for you as long as conceivable, when your business is reducing and you might even have inflicted salary cuts? Begin with an easy fact: If your employees feel reasonably treated under the conditions and trust you have set a course to survive the economic downswing, they're far more likely to stand by you.

Treat-And Pay- Individuals Reasonably

"Fair-mindedness" is the best one-word prescription for keeping employees faithful to your business. Workers who trust your business may be trusted to treat them equitably are more than likely to be faithful; those who feel they're in untrustworthy hands are most sure to march on. This goes doubly when times are hard, unemployment is high, and your business is evidently scrambling. Allegiance frequently has less to do with the size of your employees' payroll check than it does with their notion that you'll do everything conceivable to protect their job, not just toss them overboard on a stormy day.

Chapter 7: Is a Poor Person Who Thinks Positively about Money Rich?

Summary

Does only thought matter? If beggars think about horses, can they ride?

Is a Poor Person Who Thinks Positively about Money Rich?

This is a question that irks most people, especially those who hear about the Law of Attraction for the first time. After all, they think, the Law of Attraction speaks about thoughts begetting results, so if they were to think strongly about something, shouldn't they get that realized? In other words, if someone doesn't have a car and thinks strongly about it, they should be owners of the car, right?

Though that does sound very romantic, the problem is that the Law of Attraction does not work in that fashion. It is not about think-think-get-get. There are a lot of under layers here. Firstly, people who think about the Law of Attraction in this manner don't bring a very important thing into the equation - the emphasis of effort. You don't get much without channelizing your thoughts into action.

Let us understand this better with an example. Suppose you have an ambition to open a restaurant. Right now, it's just your ambition. Yes, you are thinking so strongly about it that you can taste it, but that's just about it. Will that make your restaurant then?

The answer is quite obvious - No. The Law of Attraction is not about sitting on your bean bag watching a DVD and expecting your inner desires to manifest themselves. You have to actually let the thought out of your system. You have to let it come out and become action.

When you think strongly about something, there will be an inner voice that will tell you to act in a particular way. If you are looking at opening a restaurant, a small voice within you will tell you to start hunting for good places. The voice will tell you to learn the art of hotel management. The voice will also tell you to begin gathering funds. There are so many things that will be spoken by this still small voice. The important thing is that you have to listen to it. And you have to act upon it.

It is only when you begin translating these thoughts into actions will you be able to do something about realizing them.

So a beggar who merely thinks about a horse won't be able to do something soon. However, if he thinks how he should get the horse and start implementing those ideas, there is all likelihood that he will be atop one soon enough.

Chapter 8: What about Lotteries and Windfall Incomes?

Summary

What does the Law of Attraction have to say about lotteries and all other kinds of overnight richness

What about Lotteries and Windfall Incomes?

A very commonly asked question by most people is whether they can win lotteries and have other kinds of lucky breaks merely by having a strong belief in them, just as the Law of Attraction would have them do. They think very strongly about winning and so why should they not win? They even think about winning all the time, they buy tickets by the dozen, so the winners should be them, right?

The problem is that these people are in the right premise, but they aren't implementing it in the right way. So, what's the right way? Can you use the Law of Attraction to win a lottery?

Well, for that, the first thing is to think rightly about it. You must not expect a spell to come into action bringing gold coins at your door. This won't happen. But you could align things to work your way. Think positively about winning. When you do that, things automatically begin happening in a way that's beneficial to you. You probably won't become a millionaire overnight, but maybe your strong beliefs will help you win small amounts and be happy about them.

But there are ways in which you can go against the Law of Attraction here. If you expect too much, it's wrong. The Law of Attraction tells you to have a strong belief, but it does not tell you to expect a particular kind of result. Simply visualize what would happen if you are a winner of a particular sum, however, don't force the universe into granting you that sum. In the same vein, if you start getting grumpy if you are not making the kind of income you think you should, you are undoing all your positive belief. Grumpiness is a sign of disbelief and hence it is a sign of weakness.

People who win lotteries think somehow that they deserved the victory. If you were to ask them, they will say that they visualized winning the lottery at some point in their lives and they imagined it so vividly that they felt it was for real.

Try that. Imagine. Visualize your result. Don't go overboard. Don't over-expect. Things will begin aligning your way. But be ready to accept, without grudging, whatever comes your way. It will be better than what you have, if your belief is in the right.

Chapter 9: Balancing the Inner Self and the Outer Self

Summary

If you really follow the Law of Attraction, you have to work at striking the right balance between your inner and outer selves.

Balancing the Inner Self and the Outer Self

One of the most significant applications of the Law of Attraction is to balance our inner and outer selves. Our inner self is our consciousness. It is the way we think and behave. This is where the Law of Attraction begins to take effect. The Law of Attraction starts manifesting itself when we think and that begins in our inner self. Our outer self is characterized by our action. The way we act and implement our thought processes is how our outer self functions.

If we have to make the best utilization of the Law of Attraction into our life, then it is essential that we learn how to create the balance between our inner and outer selves. It is vital that we put into action what we think. What begins as a thought manifestation must get converted into action.
