Business cards and Stationary are simple but important methods in establishing your business.

You can effectively market yourself if you have a business card handy whenever you run into a situation where you are dealing with a potential client.

Imagine someone striking up a conversation with you that ends up being about your business. As they leave they ask you for a business card. What if you don‘t have one? How unprofessional will that look?

Not only will you look like you aren‘t all that serious about your business but you will lose out on potential clients who want a copy of your business information for future reference.

Creating business cards is a no brainer method of promotion and it‘s exceptionally affordable. Once you have your business cards printed off, use EVERY opportunity that you can to pass them out. Remember, every single person that you meet is a potential client. Everyone has birthdays =)

People you could give business cards to include neighbors, your local youth group centers, people at your church if you attend, you could leave flyers with your business card attached at local shops, your child‘s school, sports clubs, you name it!

If you take five minutes right now to write down a list of places you can leave business cards or flyers you would be surprised at just how easy it will be to spread the word!

When I started since I didn‘t attend a lot of community events, and I didn‘t regularly go to church, I decided to print off flyers and stick them on bulletin boards at grocery stores. I attached business cards to the flyers.

This is a five minute promotional tactic that is easy (not to mention free) and I had orders the same week. Obviously I wanted to expand my marketing beyond that, but it was a simple way to start out.

Just use the resources that are available to you and have faith in yourself. Start off slow if you are nervous, and go from there. Just take action! That‘s the most important thing you can do. The rest will follow.

Chapter 4 - Motherhood

You’ve gone through the grueling hours of labor and delivery, and now it’s time to enjoy your newborn. While you may not get enough sleep and will feel like you’re running on empty, the sheer joy that a child brings is enough to make up for all of the sacrifices.

Taking Baby Home

While your body went through massive changes during pregnancy (and will continue to do so postpartum) your life will also change dramatically now that baby has arrived. Once you get home you’ll more than likely want to take a nap. The old adage, sleep when baby sleeps is a good one to follow. You and your partner may wish to introduce the little one to his or her new home and then tuck them in their new crib.

New fathers can help out by taking care of household duties, changing diapers and letting mom get some well-deserved sleep. You may even wish to take a nap together while baby sleeps. You probably haven’t had very much alone time these past few days, so take these relaxing moments for all they’re worth.

You should also expect visits from family and friends at this point in time. Everyone will be enthusiastic to see your baby, but be careful not to run yourself ragged. Be honest with family when you’re tired and need to rest rather than socialize.

While you’ll most likely feel overwhelmed, remember that there are always people to help you. Your partner, your family and friends are more than willing to lend a helping hand so you can have some time for yourself.

Becoming a "Mom"

It may be a bit strange to take on this new role as “mother,” considering the only mother in your life up until now has been your own. Becoming a mom isn’t that difficult in the sense that you must suddenly begin acting like one. For most women, it will be instinctual. You will naturally worry about the wellbeing of your child and do your best for them all the time. However, as your child grows, the skills necessary to cope with your child’s behavior are learned. Just as with every other role in life or even jobs, the finer details are learned, not inherited.

A lot of new moms and even many not so new moms feel as though they lose a bit of themselves or a bit of their personal identity upon becoming a mother.

While it may feel this way, it certainly doesn’t hav e to be this way.

Letting a child take over your entire life is not very healthy. You still need things

for yourself as well like your career, love life and hobbies. While you may not be able to devote as much time to these things as before, you can still keep your “old” self alive and kicking.

Postpartum Depression

While many women experience what is called the “baby blues” or a period of about a week after baby is born where she is a bit depressed, postpartum depression is an entirely different story. Between 10-15% of women experience postpartum depression to some degree and while the condition is treatable, it’s very serious.

Postpartum depression can be defined as the onset of serious mood changes anywhere from one month to one year after baby is born. It is much more serious than the baby blues and must be treated by a doctor with appropriate therapy and medication.
Causes

Postpartum depression is believed to be caused by the radical shifting of hormones after childbirth. While some women only experience mild mood swings, others are thrown into the depths of depression.

Symptoms

PPD can express itself in several different ways. While the symptoms are very much like those of regular depression, there are a few key differences. Common symptoms of postpartum depression include:

Lethargy.

Hopelessness.

Lack of appetite.

Inability to sleep.

Restlessness.

Continuous crying.

Mood swings.

Lack of interest in once enjoyed activities.

Lack of interest in baby.

Confusion.

Fear of harming oneself.

Fear of harming baby.

Likely Candidates

As with all mood disorders and instances of depression, a family history of the disease automatically predisposes you to becoming diagnosed. You are also more likely to have postpartum depression if you have suffered from depression prior to pregnancy, or suffered from postpartum depression with a prior pregnancy. An unhappy or stressed marriage can also contribute to a woman’s likelihood of developing the disorder. Women without close relatives or friends to discuss their feelings with are also more likely to become depressed.

Many women feel ashamed of their feelings and disinterest in their baby when suffering from postpartum depression, so do not share them with their spouse or loved ones. While it is understandable why a woman would feel this way, there is no need to be ashamed or feel guilty. PPD is no ones fault (except for maybe hormones). If you think you may be suffering from PPD, it is imperative you notify someone so you can seek proper treatment. PPD left untreated can escalate into a more serious condition or leave you unhappy for a long time.
Treatments

Upon seeing your doctor, he or she will evaluate you to rule out any sort of physiological problem first. Next, you’ll be evaluated and then diagnosed with PPD. Once diagnosed, you can receive proper treatment. The most common forms of treatment for PPD include a combination of medication and therapy. Antidepressants can help restore the chemical balance to your brain, therefore lifting your mood and allowing you to enjoy life once again. The therapy portion provides women with the proper coping skills.

Many women also enroll in a support group to help get through this trying time with women that are going through the same or similar thing. It is also very important for women to continue their treatment plan until their doctor says otherwise. To stop medication suddenly is dangerous and increases the likelihood of a relapse.

Most major companies and multimillion dollar businesses have blogs...so why shouldn't your client? <— This can serve as a great selling point when pitching this to businesses. As far as how much to charge an offline business for creating a blog (or multiple blogs) for them -- It's really up to you! Some people enjoy the concept of charging low prices for this service and getting more clients because of it. For example, if you charge only $100 bucks for this, you might be able to do 5 or 6 in a week easy. That's $500-600 a week ($2,000+ per month) which is a great living for many people. Others would rather charge more (like $499+) for a custom blog and they would rather have less clients. Instead of needing to get 5clients to make $500, they only need to get ONE! I like both of those concepts and both have worked for me before, so again, it's really up to you. Simple Method #3: The 3rd method of making easy cash from offline businesses is to offer Myspace/Facebook page creation services. If you can charge more and you feel like it's appropriate then by all means, do it! Simple Method #4: This method involves a little bit more work, but not much. Many businesses could benefit GREATLY from having Craigslist ads posted for them once a week or once a day even. Craigslist gets over 10 million visitors a day! This can obviously be a great selling point for this service. Once a business owner hears that and confirm it (if they need to), you will be able to charge them for this service with no problem. You can package together different options, such as "5 Craigslist Ads Per Week for $XX" or "One month of Craigslist advertising I think $10 per ad is fair for offline businesses (considering they pay the Yellow Pages and other advertising companies MUCH more money!). If you do 5 a week for them, that's $50 a week which comes out to $200 per month, from just one client. It should only take about 5 minutes or so to post a Craigslist ad for someone, it is not difficult at all. Phishing & Identity Theft

Who hasn’t received an email directing them to visit a familiar website where they are being asked to update their personal information? The website needs you to verify or update your passwords, credit card numbers, social security number, or even your bank account number. You recognize the business name as one that you’ve conducted business with in the past.

So, you click on the convenient “take me there” link and proceed to provide all the information they have requested. Unfortunately, you find out much later that the website is bogus. It was created with the sole intent to steal your personal information.

You, my friend, have just been “phished”.

Phishing (pronounced as “fishing”) is defined as the act of sending an email to a recipient falsely claiming to have an established, legitimate business. The intent of the phisher is to scam the recipient into surrendering their private information, and ultimately steal your identity.

It is not at easy as you think to spot an email phishing for information. At first glance, the email may look like it is from a legitimate company. The "From" field of the e-mail may have the .com address of the company mentioned in the e-mail. The clickable link even appears to take you to the company's website, when in fact, it is a fake website built to replicate the legitimate site.

Many of these people are professional criminals. They have spent a lot of time in creating emails that look authentic. Users need to review all emails requesting personal information carefully. When reviewing your email remember that the "From Field" can be easily changed by the sender. While it may look like it is coming from a .com you do business with, looks can be deceiving.

Also keep in mind that the phisher will go all out in trying to make their email look as legitimate as possible. They will even copy logos or images from the official site to use in their emails. Finally, they like to include a clickable link that the recipient can follow to conveniently update their information.

A great way to check the legitimacy of the link is to point at the link with your mouse. Then, look in the bottom left hand screen of your computer. The actual website address to which you are being directed will show up for you to view. It is a very quick and easy way to check if you are being directed to a legitimate site.

Follow the golden rule: never, ever, click the links within the text of the e-mail, and always delete the e-mail immediately. Once you have deleted the e-mail, empty the trash box in your e-mail accounts as well. If you are truly concerned that you are missing an important notice regarding one of your accounts, then type the full URL address of the website into your browser. At least then you can be confident that you are, in fact, being directed to the true and legitimate website.

The Advancement of the Keyloggers

A keylogger is a program that runs in your computer’s background secretly recording all your keystrokes. Once your keystrokes are logged, they are hidden away for later retrieval by the attacker. The attacker then carefully reviews the information in hopes of finding passwords or other information that would prove useful to them.

For example, a keylogger can easily obtain confidential emails and reveal them to any interested outside party willing to pay for the information.

Keyloggers can be either software or hardware based.

Software-based keyloggers are easy to distribute and infect, but at the same time are more easily detectable.

Hardware-based keyloggers are more complex and harder to detect. For all that you know, your keyboard could have a keylogger chip attached and anything being typed is recorded into a flash memory sitting inside your keyboard. Keyloggers have become one of the most powerful applications used for gathering information in a world where encrypted traffic is becoming more and more common.

As keyloggers become more advanced, the ability to detect them becomes more difficult. They can violate a user’s privacy for months, or even years, without being noticed. During that time frame, a keylogger can collect a lot of information about the user it is monitoring. A keylogger can potential obtain not only passwords and log-in names, but credit card numbers, bank account details, contacts, interests, web browsing habits, and much more. All this collected information can be used to steal user’s personal documents, money, or even their identity.

Planning Catering for Your Wedding

Catering is certainly an important part of the wedding reception. You will want to work closely with the caterer to choose a menu that will work well for both the bride and groom.

You will also need to keep in mind the tastes of any potential guests. Traditionally there would be a couple of different main courses to choose from, but these days you must also keep other dietary requirements in mind. Although you can’t be expected to provide for every dietary need, you may need to provide vegetarian alternatives if you know there will be vegetarians at the reception.

Ideally you would want to know well in advance if anyone attending has special dietary requirements. If possible, ask guests to alert you to their needs when they RSVP your invitation.

Discuss these needs with the caterer well in advance so they can make arrangements. Sometimes they will need to make special accommodations, so they need to know about this in plenty of time to set everything up properly.

People will special dietary needs are usually used to bringing their own food to events or to going without, so don’t panic if a vegetarian shows up unannounced. It’s not the end of the world! But it does help to be prepared in case this happens. It’s always a good idea to urge your caterer to at least provide one vegan appetizer so any vegetarians can have something to snack on at the very least.

When choosing appetizers, it’s best to pick finger foods that aren’t very messy. Guests will probably be wearing very expensive clothing, and you don’t want them to have any unnecessary cleaning bills! Foods like barbecue and shrimp cocktail are almost certainly off the menu. Cleaner foods like p_t_ and finger sandwiches are good choices.

The main course can generally be messier, but remember to have at least two courses to choose from. You and your fianc_e may enjoy steak, for example, but you should have a chicken or fish dish for those who don’t eat red meat.

Weddings should be focused on the bride and groom, but the other guests should be made to feel as happy as possible. The happier the guests are, the more joyous the day will be for everyone. And that will all be preserved on film forever!

Saving Money On Your Flowers

Flowers can be a very expensive part of a wedding. Many people spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on the flowers for their wedding. But there are some tricks you can use to make sure you get beautiful flowers without spending too much money.

First of all, don’t choose roses or other expensive flowers unless you are really certain you want them. Many brides choose roses simply because they believe it is traditional or expected. But these days almost any type of flower is acceptable for a wedding. You can always opt to add cheaper flowers such as carnations into a bouquet with a few more expensive types. Or, you may choose one beautiful flower as an alternative to an entire bouquet.

Be careful with color choice. Some colors of flowers are rare than others, and those colors will be more expensive. Discuss with your florist the prices of different colors, and choose one that is affordable, but also one that will make you happy.

You do need to coordinate the flower colors with other colors in your wedding, so that it certainly a consideration. But the flowers don’t have to match the color of the bridesmaid dresses or other elements, as long as they don’t clash.

You may be able to use fewer flowers than you think. Some brides go all out, and choose flower arrangements for every table at the reception, and they even have a bouquet for every bridesmaid. But this isn’t necessary.

You can talk to your fiance about the flower arrangements, as well as the maid of honor and the florist. Discuss which arrangements are vital, and which might be left out for the sake of economy.

The most important thing to remember is to make sure you get the flowers you really want. Your wedding day is perhaps the most memorable day of your entire life, and hopefully you will only have one. It should be a day you will remember forever, and ultimately you need to be sure you’re getting what makes you happiest.

If you are providing your own centerpieces for your tables you have many options. You can create floral centerpieces out of fresh or silk flowers if you are creating the flowers for the rest of your wedding. If you wish not to have flowers, you can float petals in bowls of water or fill glass bowls with colored beads for a pretty look that is easy on the budget.

Candle arrangements also make lovely centerpieces and can be inexpensive if you buy candles in bulk, on clearance, or using coupons.

If you are not using a florist, you can arrange the flowers yourself. It may be easier to use silk flowers in this situation because they can be arranged far in advance, and they may be purchased at discount or using coupons.

If you do choose to work with a florist, discuss with them the best flowers to use for the season of your wedding. Flowers in season will not only be cheaper, but they will hold up better.

List Building For Newbies PLR Ebook

Ebook Sample Content Preview:

One thing that many people sometimes overlook is that a good list is like a relationship - it takes work to maintain it. If you stop having dealings with your list for a long period of time, they're likely to forget you, and then when they receive an email from you will be thinking,

"Hey, who on earth is this guy and why is he emailing me?"

While you definitely want to avoid letting your list lapse into inactivity, you also want to avoid over-saturating your list with emails. Starting to send emails every couple of hours would be a very bad idea, especially if they're all mostly just sales pitches.

Important Advice: A good approach is to never send two sales pitches in a row. Space them out to maybe 1 sales pitch for every 4 to 5 emails, and in between, be sure to include freebies or information that is valuable.

If you develop a regular schedule of maybe emailing your list twice a week or so, and space out your sales pitches too, then you're on the right track. If the emails you send in between as 'fillers' contain great info and freebies, then you'll even find that your subscribers are actually eager and waiting to hear from you at your next scheduled time.

Thus, your relationship with your list can flourish, and they'll be much more open to any suggestions of purchases that you might make.
Catering to the Needs of Your Subscribers

Just now, we covered briefly how your 'filler' emails should be providing freebies and information that is of value to your subscribers. Truth is, this is just part of a much larger picture that revolves around the benefits of appealing to subscribers.

To be completely honest, everything that you send out to your list should cater to the needs of your subscribers as much as possible. Unfortunately, this is where a lot of people stumble, and end up not taking full advantage of their list.

Important Note: Although you might think that you know what your subscribers want, and need, there is nothing like actually knowing what your subscribers want, and need.

So the question is: How do you really find out what subscribers want? Well, apart from paying attention to any emails that you may get, it would not hurt to send out a survey. Sure, it may be slightly tacky, but even if just a few people respond, it will still be a valuable insight into the type of people who are on your list.

If you can continuously be providing products that answer the needs and desires of your list, you'll find that you'll be making a lot of sales. While the sales are coming in though, you'll also develop your reputation and relationship with your list even further, so it's hard to say which is more valuable.

Long term - a little work spend finding out more about your list could go a long way towards helping your profits.

Reputation and Authority

Throughout this section, we've also touched on reputation, but why is that important?

When you're marketing online, your most valuable asset, prized possession, and biggest selling point can often be your reputation. Think about it, if Mr. X released a 'Killer Article Submission Software' and Mr. Y released a 'Super Article Submission Software', which would you choose?

As far as reputation goes, Mr. X is a fairly unknown marketer, but there do seem to be several complaints about him overly hyping up poor quality software before. On the other hand, Mr. Y is an upstanding marketer with a long track record of going out of his way to help people, and providing the highest of quality in any software that he attaches his name to.

Who would you buy from?

See, reputation is one of those things that can really make the difference, and everything that you send out to your list is part of that reputation. Admittedly, even the most reputable of marketers have some bad things said about them, but the trick is to have the good outweigh the bad considerably.

Being honest, clear, and helpful to your list is often enough. Also, be sure never to mislead, misguide, or be so engaged looking for a quick buck or two that you forget to think about the bigger picture.

Testing Out What Your List Responds To

More than anything else, testing and comparing the response from your list to various approaches should let you know what you should be doing, and what you should be avoiding.

Basically, just learn from your mistakes, and if something works - keep doing it (just not too much!). Some lists respond very well to reviews of products already in the market. Others simply would rather concentrate on what action can be taken within their niche, and then have a plan outlined.

There is no "one size fits all" as far as lists are concerned, and your testing could reveal what the 'best fit' for your niche is.

Maintenance, Pruning, and Sorting a List

As your list grows in size, it is going to need some work to be kept ship shape. Some of this is the kind of things that a good autoresponder could even take care of automatically, but it is worth the mention nonetheless.

One simple thing to keep doing is ensuring that 'bouncing' emails are removed from your list.

At some time or other you must have encountered the 'Failure to deliver...' type response that you get right after you send an email, and can mean one of two things.

Either the email that you're sending to is full, or it no longer exists. Whichever the case, if after a few emails the problem keeps repeating, then there's no point keeping that email on your list. After all, why have a list of 10,000 people if 8,000 of the email addresses are outdated?

Yet another fairly simple step to help increase your lists responsiveness is to 'sort' subscribers based on their past buying patterns. For instance, if you have 2,000 or so subscribers that buy high-ticket items fairly regularly, then put them in one group and maybe even give them extra 'perks' for being the fantastic customers that they are.

Being that skin conditions differ in so many ways (oily, normal, dry, or combination skin) there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all acne cure.

Recently, the FDA has sanctioned the use of a gel called Epiduo for acne-affected patients over the age of 12 years.

Prescribed for a one-time use on a daily basis, Epiduo is a combination of two time-tested treatments for acne. Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% and Adapalene 0.1% contained in Epiduo are generically sold and goes by the name Differin.

The manufacturers of Epiduo, Galderma had stated in a recent press release that the Epiduo gel has been able to combine the two for the first time and it would hit the market early 2009.

Several other over-the-counter medications such as Stri-dex, Clearsil, Clearstick and Oxy Night Watch contain a key acne fighting ingredient; Salicylic Acid.

If the acne is very severe and a cyst has formed making other medications immune, then a potent Retinoid called Isotretinoin can be used orally.

Oral antibiotics have also become commonly used in order to keep acne breakouts at bay. The antibiotics help to subside the inflammation with initial high doses that are later cut down gradually. But if the acne becomes resistant to the antibiotic over time, it cannot be controlled.

In the US, many broad-spectrum antibiotics have been in use for the purpose of treating acne.

A visit to a dermatologist for a detailed examination is the best way to find out the treatment that will work for you.

Your dermatologist will be able to determine the best treatment for you depending on the condition of your acne as well as your personal skin type.

Sleep is one of your most valuable tools for growth that you can have in your body building arsenal.

Muscle adaptation and growth often occurs at night.

During the suspended state of animation you are in, your body is doing exactly what you have been asking it to do during your workouts – build muscle.

Lack of sleep can have an intoxicating effect on your body. According to the Journal of Applied Sports Science, being awake for 24 hours has the same physical effect as a blood alcohol content of 0.096, which is above the legal driving limit in most states.

Working out in this state has its obvious downside. For starters, your lack of muscular coordination places you at a much higher risk for injury.

Just as you'd never head to the gym after drinking a few beers at your local tavern, you should never work out after not sleeping the night before. You're better off waiting until the next day when your body has been given proper rest.

Many newer cars come equipped with Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and there are other GPS options available for installation in cars that don't already have one. But what about the people who rarely drive? Or who don't have room in their cars for bulky GPS machines? For those with the iPhone, there is a built in GPS application, called Maps.

Using this iPhone application, you can find a location on the map, use a compass to determine your location, or get turn by turn directions to where you need to go. If you'd rather not follow turn by turn directions, you can also see a map with a highlighted route, and follow that.

With the great GPS application, you will never have to worry about getting lost again. You can easily share your location with others, find an alternate route if you are stuck in traffic, or get directions to another location on the fly. Gone are the days of following a friend from one location to another, instead, you can use your iPhone and meet him or her there.

Many times when you are driving somewhere new and following the directions of someone else, you will suffer a crippling blow such as a closed road or construction. In situations such as that, it is easy to get lost or wander with your fingers crossed. With the iPhone GPS, you can quickly find your location on a map, and get a new set of directions or just look at the map and plot your own. If you are adventurous and want to try your own way, you can use your compass to ensure you are heading the right direction.

The Maps application is the new wave of GPS technology. You will never have to worry that you will get lost if you are driving with someone else, because you do not have your GPS to rely. From now on, you will have GPS on your iPhone, and can easily find what you need at a moments notice.

The GPS application is a great way to ensure that you always know where you are, where you are going, and that you can always find an alternate route to have a plan B. With so many useful iPhone applications, it can be tricky to decide which are the most relevant and important. Luckily, the choice to use the GPS application is an easy one. Once you begin using it, you will wonder how you ever did without it.
