Of course I'm not saying you wouldn't get any affiliates in this situation, but it may be harder than you expect to attract. The competition for joint ventures, lists, and affiliates right now is as harsh and as cut throat as the competition for actual sales of products.

So before you actually decide to shell out on some sort of affiliate software, make sure that you don't offer commissions that are too low, non-reoccurring, or don't have a second level. Put yourself in the affiliates’ shoes. Remember, they don’t care about your profits. They care about theirs.

If you were them, would you promote your product? Would it be profitable for you? Would it even be worth your time? These are the things to think about when not only setting commissions, but deciding whether or not it's even worth having an affiliate program up there for people to take advantage of in the first place. If you can't answer those two questions with a confident 'yes' then your setup probably needs to be changed in some way until you can, because it's likely others will have the same reaction as you, and your tracking and testing results will tell you the same.

Expensive to some, novelty have-to-have for others, it does still cost more and sometimes you have to wait a long time to take possession, due to automakers NOT being able to keep up with the demand. We can speculate what the cars of the future would look like. If they will even be traditional ‘cars’ per se or some other form of personal transportation, like a human-enabled getting around device of some sorts, sky-cars, alternatives?

The human imagination and ability to dream will keep us coming up with innovative new designs and solutions. With the fact that fossil fuels are not a renewable energy resource and stocks depleting around the world, alternatives will certainly keep surfacing that are more efficient, revolutionary and setting a new tone and pace. It is up to us to make the decisions where to invest our money and development.

Green house effects, degrading ozone, devastating impact of noxious fumes and particles in our atmosphere and living environment and more, all motivate and inspire us to do something different. Consider green alternatives in and around your set of wheels, home and lifestyle calls for some different, counter-intuitive thinking and actions, possibly including the choice of buying a hybrid or not.

Scarlett was right, "tomorrow is another day", and I think we can learn something here.

Heck, we've adjusted our expectations, we've done the proper amount of planning, and we've attempted to communicate with our family and friends and yet... and yet things have still blown up in our face like one of those exploding cigars from those old cartoons. So now what do we do? Should we go back to our room and cry?

I don't think so! Now is the time, and I mean that right now is the time, to focus on your next dinner, that next party, the next gathering of your clan. Pick yourself off of the mat, throw your arms back behind your head, and then ask yourself what went wrong this time? Could your failure have been helped, or had fate merely decided to rain upon your parade? Next year, is there a way to prevent what happened this year?

Just as importantly, do not neglect to consider what went right this time. Which steps worked? Which family members pitched in and helped the process along? Would they do it again? These are the steps that you'll need to repeat next time.

Now is definitely the time to have a selective memory. You hit your mark, you sprang into the air, you did your flips, and the crowd roared... and then something bad happened, but you've already blocked that part out. Instead, you will remember the parts that worked, the happiness that you gained, and the joy that you found.

You can do this; you can! Just focus on taking one step at a time, and make sure that you don't decide to quit when the first couple of steps go badly or when Uncle Harold imbibes too much nog and gets all sloppydrunk on your guests. You see this with videos (“sign up for video #2”, etc). But you can do this with copy. You write an article or give some content, and then say, “Signup for the rest” or “subscribe and we will notify you when part #2 is published,” or “we will send you parts 2-5 directly to your inbox.” Etc.

But to answer your question specifically, the standard opt-in page copy you’re referring to, well I prefer “medium” sized. IT’s not long copy. But it’s not short, either.
