Writing Tips Made Easy

Introduction

If you run a blog or website you understand the need for writing regular content. While this may sound easy, it is not always easy to come up with ideas of what to write about. Even then you need to know how to write a compelling blog post that will attract attention.

When it comes to writing online there are a few differences which you must be aware of. Writing this type of content is different than writing a novel or non-fiction book.

Inside this ebook you will find a compilation of 25 writing tips which have been designed to help you become a better writer.

Just implement one writing tip per week to improve your style, writing techniques, creativity and the amount of content you create.

I am sure that you will enjoy using these tips and will have fun putting them into practice.

Start Writing on a Daily Basis

The more you write the better you will become at writing. So, it just makes sense that you want to get into the habit of writing every day. You don’t have to start writing pages upon pages each day. Your goal is to form the habit where you sit down at your computer and start typing words into a document or notepad.

You can write about anything. For example, you may want to write about your activities the day before. Start mapping out a business plan or outline blog posts. Write about anything that gets you into the habit of actually writing. You may even want to practice writing short posts which you could then use as content for your social sites.

It may be difficult at first to write every day. Just remember, as with any habit, if you commit to doing this daily you will be writing regularly in less than one month.

Start Reading on a Daily Basis

The more you read the better you writing ability will be. Plus, by reading you will be keeping up to date on current affairs and topics. This will provide you with useful insights and topics that you can write about on your own blog.

It also helps to read a good variety of content and material. Don’t just limit yourself to reading a magazine or book. Get into the habit of reading newspapers, short stories, blog articles and more. Take the time to read up on a new hobby or skill that you have always wanted to learn.

By exposing your mind to a variety of content your vocabulary will expand. You will find that the task of writing becomes easier. Plus, you will find that you have more topics on which you can write about.

Write in a Comfortable Place

If you are seriously trying to write a long article or even start a book you need to have a comfortable place to work in. This will vary depending upon your personality. Some writers enjoy writing in a quiet room at home, others prefer to write outdoors when possible. Yet other writers find they get inspired and can write more when sitting at a local coffee shop or restaurant.

No matter where you choose to write, find a place that works for you. If you have small children or a busy schedule you may prefer to get up earlier and use that time for writing.

By placing yourself in a comfortable setting you will find that your words flow easily. If your body is not in a comfortable place then neither is your mind.

Write for Your Audience

When it comes to writing online content for the internet your biggest concern is that you will want to cut out all the fluff and padding of your work. While it is still important to pay attention to your use of grammar, spelling and punctuation your main concern is to keep your writing concise.

It is still important to develop a style so that your audience can identify with you. You will want to aim your writing at a general level. This means not using overly long or difficult words and talking to your reader as though you were writing to a friend.

With the emergence of the internet writing styles are definitely more relaxed than ever before. It is still important to maintain a professional quality of your work so that you can brand yourself as an expert in your niche.

Use Complete Sentences

While writing for the internet requires you to be friendlier, you still need to write correct sentences. Your sentence structure should be complete and concise. An example of an incomplete sentence is when you suddenly place the word ‘when’ at the beginning. The use of this word makes a statement incomplete such as in the following example:

When I complete this project.

Instead you should write:

I completed this project.

If you use an online spelling and grammar checker an incomplete sentence will be referred to as a fragmented sentence.

Because online writing rules are viewed as more relaxed it is okay to break the rules now and again. You will notice that a lot of online content will have sentences that start with the words ‘and because’. This was definitely something that any good English teacher would tell you is not correct. But now it is viewed as acceptable.
Research Your Topic

Before you sit down and write you want to take the time to research your topic. This is extremely important with web based content. Always keep in mind that internet users are looking for current information and facts.

By researching first, you will have timely facts and information that you automatically include in your blog posts and articles. By taking the time to research, your content is more likely to be shown as relevant content in the search engines. What this means is that your posts, pages and articles are more likely to show up in the top results in any search engine.

Once you have compiled your research you will be able to easily create a good outline for your topic. You may even find that the direction you first had in mind has changed. Researching can help you discover new and unique angles that you had not thought of.

Bushido Code MRR Ebook

The Path to Enlightenment

“Bushido as an independent code of ethics may vanish, but its power will not perish from the earth; its schools of martial prowess or civic honor may be demolished, but its light and its glory will long survive their ruins. Like its symbolic flower, after it is blown to the four winds, it will still bless mankind with the perfume with which it will enrich life.” - InazoNitobe, Bushido: The Soul of Japan. A Classic Essay on Samurai Ethics.

Bushido (???) is a Japanese term (direct translation : bu - Military; shi - Knight; Do - Ways), which loosely translated, means The Way of the Warrior. Historically, this was known as the Japanese warrior - Samurai code of conduct. Now, to most people, Samurai means Japanese warrior. This is not entirely wrong, but it obscures the true nature of the Samurai. In Japanese, Samurai (?) actually means“To Serve”. It is not a Way of Violence, but of Service. However, it is not the only code of conduct to ever exist in history. There is the Chivalry Code Of Conduct that was once practiced by the knights of Europe, and also the Spartan Code of Honor - created by the famed indomitable warriors of ancient times whose codes included an actual law that made it illegal to retreat in battle. All of these codes have their own appeal, but are not the subject of this book today. The Way of The Samurai is quite well known compared to the many warrior codes out there, due to its practice of self-disembowelment (Seppuku)(??) and the belief that honor was more important than life. It has also received much attention in recent times due to its portrayal in Hollywood movies such as The Last Samuraior 47 Ronin, with Bushido being the central theme of both movies. So, what does this have to do with our lives?

Let us start by considering the term Warrior. Are you a warrior? The definition of a warrior is “a person engaged in some struggle or conflict”, i.e. someone who FIGHTS.By this definition, we are all warriors. Whether against poverty, hunger, disease… or against less physical issues like racism, sexism, insignificance, we spend our lives fighting. As warriors. Yes, if you hadn't realized before this, you are indeed, a warrior ; life spares none of us, whether you are man or woman, child or adult, from struggles. And therefore, you need a warrior’s code, a guide on how to live and fight… that is, if you wish to be a SUCCESSFULwarrior. If you wish to win. Who doesn't like winning, after all? Why not make use of the wisdom and experience of the warriors who have walked the path before us?

What about the term Way? What Way would this be? The way to the success? The way to make money? No, the usage of the term Way in this context means life principles, ethics, a guide to living according to a code. So, the Bushido can be simply explained as the life principles of a warrior - the guide to living as one. Since we are all warriors in our own right, the Bushido could be our Way and our guide in our individual battles. This brings us to the purpose of this book, which is to introduce you to the ancient code that is Bushido, and to bring to your attention to the benefits of applying the tenets and wisdom of Bushido to your life and your battles. Throughout this book, you will see quotes from the Samurai who have walked the Way before us, as well as from Dr. InazoNitobe, who deserves a special mention for his authoritative treatise on the Bushido code - Bushido: The Soul of Japan, which has led many (including the author himself) to a deeper understanding of Bushido. Inspired by DrInazo’s work that dates back 100 years, the author had a deep desire to share with others a more modern application of Bushido. This led to the writing of this book - Bushido : Where Honor Is Stronger Than Steel. Are you ready? Let us set out then, to seek the Way together.

? (gi)
Righteousness

“Rectitude is one’s power to decide upon a course of conduct in accordance with reason, without wavering; to die when to die is right, to strike when to strike is right.” - Anonymous Japanese Samurai

There are 8 main principles of Bushido, known as the Bushido's Eight Virtues. It may surprise some readers, particularly those whose impression of the Samurai is the militaristic and martial kind, that the first principle of Bushido is righteousness. Not courage, although the Samurai had a fearlessness bordering on recklessness. Not loyalty, although the Samurai believed in loyalty unto death.

No, the first principle that a warrior needs to learn in the Bushido Code, is righteousness. Justice. The rightness of his/her cause. I do not refer to self-righteousness, where someone thinks themselves better than another. Righteousness is the belief in justice and the effort to do the right thing in all circumstances. Think about this for a second. The Samurai considered righteousness to be the basis of Bushido, the foundation, the first step on the Way. Why choose righteousness as the first step? Consider the alternatives: if the foundation of the Way of a warrior was strength, wouldn’t the Way be just grounded in the belief that “Might is Right” ? Or if the foundation of the Way was loyalty… wouldn’t the Way result in a Loyalty to an Evil Ruler situation? Indeed, history is full of examples of warriors who swore their loyalty to evil rulers, and thus, in doing that, supported and propagated evil, because the basis of their Way was loyalty, not righteousness. Having righteousness as the basis of Bushido means that a Samurai has to think and decide whether it is RIGHTto swing his sword, before he swings it. He does not fight because he wants to be the strongest warrior, nor does he fight because he is told to fight – he fights because it is RIGHTfor him to do so. This shows that the Samurai were well aware of the weight of their actions, and the possible consequences. If you were about to get into a fight which might result in the loss of life, is it not essential to consider whether such loss of life is necessary, or whether it could be avoided? Before strength, before ability, righteousness must be considered first, the first thought in a Samurai’s mind. A Samurai deals openly and honestly with others and cleaves to the idea of justice. Moral decisions do not come in shades of grey, but only right and wrong.

“All men’s souls are immortal, but the souls of the righteous are immortal and divine.” - Bertrand Russell

Righteousness is fortunately not yet an "old-fashioned" idea; in fact, it is still relevant and very much needed in today's society.Injustice is still a common occurrenceeverywhere, be it schools, workplaces, on the streets. There are 2 aspects of righteousness that are most definitely needed in our lives. One is the determination to do what is Right, to make the Right decisions. The other is the courage to stand up against what is Wrong, to stop injustice from happening. In any of your personal battles, make sure you're fighting on the right side. I am not referring to the stronger side, but rather more correctly, on the Right side. Knowing that you are doing the right thing will give you a sense of certainty and a lack of hesitation. How can you tell? Well, that’s easy. If you’re not sure which side is the Right side, then why are you fighting? You should only “draw your sword” once you have observed and concluded that it is right to do so. Conflict in the workplace is inevitable ; conflicts are bound to happen when there are two or more people working together. As an employee, do not pick fights or get drawn into fights if you’re not sure which side is the right or wrong side. In fact, you shouldn’t pick fights at all in the first place. So, again, do not get involved if you cannot ascertain which side is in the right.

This is less about minding your own business and more about doing the Right Thing. To do the Right Thing, you need to identify what it is first. Never get into a fight with your boss unless you are certain that your position is solid and you are in the right. How about in a business setting? The application is exactly the same: be absolutely certain that your decision is based on righteousness, and not on greed or fear. Do not prioritize making a quick buck; it is rarely the right (or most profitable) choice. Also, avoid entering into business dealings with dishonest and unreliable partners, no matter how good the deal appears to be. Chances are that the deal that looks too good to be true IS, in fact, too good to be true. A wrong decision can potentially result in massive losses on your part. To avoid (or significantly reduce) the chances of that happening to you, why not sit down and carefully think it through? Basically, just make sure that you're making the right choices, for the right reasons… and that's all you need!

An Introduction To Drones Quadcopters And Uavs MRR Ebook

Sample Content Preview

Introduction

You can go backwards, you can hover, and you can go straight up or straight down. What is it? It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no …it’s a drone! If you are familiar with the RC world, you probably already know this, because the news about quadcopters has been buzzing lately.

Drones (quadcopters) are unmanned aerial vehicles that are extremely fun to fly (especially if you love this type of stuff). In this day, the word “drone” is normally used when talking about some kind of remote controlled unmanned aircraft – this could mean a quadcoptor or even a slightly more advanced octocopter. Take note that when we refer to “quadcopter,” we are referring to “drones, quadcopters and UAVs – we’re telling this so that you do not get confused.

Today, we are going to teach you about quadcopters, give you some buying tips, tell you about flying them and much more, so pay close attention to what we have to tell you in this article.

What is a Quadcopter?

The quadcopter is one of the top selling products in the world of remote-controlled vehicles – so many people are already using them. A quadcopter is an unmanned helicopter that has a total of four rotors. It has a total of four arms – each arm has a propeller and a motor at the end of it. In some ways, they are similar to helicopters. However, the difference is – their lift and thrust comes from four different propellers, instead of one. Also, a helicopter has a tail rotor that is used to help stabilize the craft, whereas a quadcopter does not have a tail rotor.

When the quadcopter is flying, two of the propellers spin counterclockwise, while the other two spin in the opposite direction (clockwise) and this is what allows the machine to hover in the air.

People of all ages enjoy quadcopters and some even use them for photography. In addition to this, they have been used in disaster management, police operations and agricultural applications.

They Have Different Names

As we stated in the beginning of this article, many times, quadcopters are referred to by different names, such as quadrotor, quadrocopter, quad-copter, UAV, UAS or drone. You also have tri copters (those have three blades), hexacopters (six blades) and octocopters (eight blades). The multirotos that have a large amount of blades have a tendency to be larger and are designed to carry a heavier load. For example, Amazon has talked about using octocopters due to their stability and ability to carry a large amount of weight. However, if you do not plan on flying packages around town, the quadcopter will do just fine.

Buying a Quadcopter

It’s time to pick your first drone! Isn’t that exciting? Of course, mind you, you should treat this as if you are going out and buying a car – research is needed. You need to find the quadcopter that is right for you. Go to your local hobby shop and you are likely to come across dozens of different models. We are going to split this into three different sections – you have buying drones for kids, buying drones for adult and buying drones for hobbyists.

Quadcopters for Kids

We’re going to start by telling you about buying quadcopters for kids. Let’s think about this – fast-moving flying object with sharp blades – what could go wrong here? Pretty much EVERYTHING.

We’re going to be honest with you – drones are dangerous – adult supervision is a must. As for the drone itself, we recommend going for something that doesn’t cost a whole lot, yet is sturdy. You need one that has blade guards that will protect people, pets walls and other obstacles going against your little pilot.

Introducing the Rolling Spider

For under $100, you can get the Rolling Spider – it is an indoor mini-drone that has 2 big plastic wheels (the wheels are removable). The wheels are there for protection and rolling. Take note: In order to fly this phone, you will need a tablet or smartphone.

Introducing the Syma X5C

If you want to give your kid a traditional outdoor RC experience, the Syma X5C would be the best bet. This one offers better range – it’s fast, big and sturdy. It also have LEDS that will help keep track of the drone while it is in the sky. Plus, with the Syma X5C, your kid will be tickled, because it comes with a nice high-def camera.

Quadcopters for Beginners (Adults)

As an adult, even though you’re a beginner, you will want something that is a bit more sophisticated. Today, we are going to introduce you to 2 quadcopters that would be perfect for beginners (these two have a low price tag on them).

The Hubsan X4 H1o7

If you like fast flying objects, you’re going to enjoy the Hubsan. This beauty has amazing maneuverability and speed all packed into a plastic shell that will fit in the palm of your hand.

The Parrot Bebop

If you are searching for something that is a bit more sophisticated, Parrot’s Bebop would be a great choice. This features a fisheye camera (180-degrees), built-in GPS and an automatic flight-stabilization. The GPS will allow the quadcopter to fly back to your launch location in case it gets out of sight.

Quadcopters for Hobbyists

If you’ve already owned a couple of quadcopters and you know all about them, we have something in store for you.

Phantom 2 Vision +

Have you heard about this one yet? It features a nice GoPro-style camera that you can control from the remote, it has a GPS feature that allows it to return to you and you can even use your tablet in order to plot the flights. Mind you, this one is more expensive, which is why we recommend it for hobbyists.

Flying a Quadcopter – This is Something You Must Learn

In all honesty, flying a quadcopter isn’t exactly easy. However, with a little bit of practice, you should start to fly like a pro in no time at all. One thing I do recommend – start with the beginner, cheap quadcopters, before you go for something expensive. I’d hate to see you crash something expensive into a tree.

A Novice Guide to Become an Effective

Content Writer

If there is one role to be filled in the Internet which matters most to a website, it is none other than content writers. Of course we could not ignore the fact that web designers and programmers are also important in giving a good website. However, it is the content that matters to the audience.

Contents are the traffic producers of a website. In this age of information technology, almost everyone needs to get some information. Likewise, it is always a must to hire content writers to fill in the page of a website. The website might have a good design. It might also be interactive, however without something to read on it, the website is as good as nothing.

Being a content writer does not only entails that one knows how to write. It also means that one knows how to keep in touch with millions of audience worldwide. Here are some good tips for an emerging content writer who wants to pursue his profession in Internet writing

1. Write Clearly and Direct to the Point

If a content writer would consider the millions of audience who will be reading his articles, the important goal for him is to communicate to his audience in simple and understandable words. Some audience are not native English speakers, likewise, local slangs should be avoided. Standard English must be the language to be adopted for content writers

While some writers have the habit of writing long paragraphs just like a treatise, in content writing, this is one of the pitfalls the article would not be read by the audience. The audience does not care about explaining further just like in a term paper. They need to know the facts directly. Writing straight to the point is a must for content writers.

2. Know The Purpose of Writing

One mistake most content writers have in content writing is the inability for them to stick on the bread and butter of the content. The basic rule of content writing is to know the purpose of what a content writer needs to write. The ideas must be centered on that purpose. Some content writers are take so much time in the fancies to the extent that a reader will be detoured on the its purpose. If one would like to sell a product, a content writer must write something that would make it sell a product. If promoting an event is necessary, a content writer must write something interesting to the audience that can help promote an event.

3. Style of Writing

One of the most important aspects of a content writer is his style of writing his piece. Some writers are just contented enough to write anything about the subject matter to the extent that coherence and transitions are ignored. While content writers might have different style of writing, it must always take into consideration the organization of the written piece. In this way, the audience can better understand if the written piece has the form and the substance.

Most of the content writers in the Internet are writing in a conversational tone. Indeed, this is very helpful to readers. However, personal clichés and expressions must be avoided by the content writers. In this way, the written piece can be understood universally. Perhaps, these three guides will help a content writer in his profession of pursuing his writing career in the internet. But the most important thing a content writer must possess is his passion. It is passion that drives him to do his thing. One's creativity is crafted because of the passion for the thing. Likewise, it is a must for writer to have be passionate in his writing endeavor.

Positive thinking doesn’t come naturally to many people. In fact, for most of us, the first thing that probably pops into our head every time we encounter challenges are negative thoughts.

We think about what happened, and then we think about who’s to blame for the things that have gone wrong. Maybe your first instinct is to complain about things, to lash out at other people instead of looking at what you yourself have done.

Ask yourself if you want to be around people like that. People who are so negative they basically pull down everyone around them. With negativity practically oozing out of their pores, I bet you wouldn’t want to be around these people. So, don’t be one of them!

You need to make a conscious effort to direct your thoughts from negative to positive. It’s difficult if you’re just starting out, but with time and sufficient practice, you’ll find yourself thinking positively most, if not all, of the time.

You’ll learn what differentiates happy and positive people from negative ones. You’ll find out why positive thinkers ultimately end up successful while most negative thinkers fail to achieve their dreams.

This guide is designed to help you become a better and more positive person. Someone people would love to be around with so they too can soak up your positivity.

Be the difference-maker in the people around you. When you’ve mastered positive thinking, you’ll end up happier, healthier, and more fulfilled than you’ve ever felt in your life!

Chapter 1 - Overcome Doubt And Negative Thinking Now

“Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.” - Suzy Kassem

To get started on your journey towards mastering the skill of positive thinking, you need to get rid of all traces of doubt and negative thinking as soon as possible.

If you continue doubting yourself, you’re never going to amount to anything in life. You’ll probably end up living a mediocre and unhappy life. Too scared to venture out of your comfort zone. Too afraid to deal with the reality that failure is a necessary – and important – step towards success.

Doubters will doubt themselves. They’ll doubt the people around them. They’ll doubt everything and everyone. These people are downers. They literally make everyone around them suffer just by being near them.

Does this sound like you? I sure hope not! No one wants to be around a Debbie Downer, so you definitely shouldn’t ever want to be one!

Just like most things in life, overcoming doubt and negative thinking is easier said than done. Sure, it’s easy to utter positive words when you need to. But deep inside you know your first instinct is to say something gloomy or depressing. You need to put a stop to your destructive inner voice right now.

Here are 10 powerful ways you can get started with removing negativity in your life so you can move forward and upward!

1. Let go of the past

The past is gone, it’s over. You can try all you want, but you can never turn back the clock. Look at the present without letting your past cloud your judgment.

If you fail to move forward because the past is holding you back, then you seriously need to reassess your life.

Whatever happened in the past has got to stay in the past. If you continue letting it affect you, then your future may not turn out to what you want it to be.

2. Learn from your mistakes

One thing people often overlook is the fact that mistakes do happen. Sure, you can have the best-laid plans, but sometimes you just can’t stop mistakes from happening. Mistakes – whether it be big or small – are bound to happen. Don’t let it dissuade you though.

Don’t think that just because you made a mistake in the past, then you can’t ever succeed in the same task or project. No, you have to stop thinking like that. Otherwise, you’re just proving to your inner critic that it’s right!

3. Stop focusing on what’s wrong

Whenever a problem comes up, you probably try to find out what’s wrong. This behavior is totally normal – how else can you fix problems if you don’t know what caused it in the first place? But getting hung up on these mistakes – especially if you’re the one who caused them – is just plain wrong. If you don’t stop berating yourself, then you can’t move forward to fix the problem. Have a little faith in yourself. A little positive pep talk will go a long way towards building your confidence!

4. Don’t go looking for other people to blame

A negative person’s first reaction to problems is to find out who made a mistake. Then they’ll go out and attack that person privately or publicly.

A positive person, on the other hand, will also try to find out who made the mistake. But, instead of focusing on the person, they’ll use their energy to try and solve the problem at hand.

When the problem’s been solved and dealt with, then they’ll go back to the person who made the mistake. Instead of berating them, they’ll give some constructive feedback to help them avoid making the same error in the future.

5. Just tell yourself to STOP

When you know your thoughts are spiraling into negativity, you should admonish yourself right away. This is why self-awareness is so important – you can pinpoint the exact moment your inner self-destructive twin rears its ugly head out.

Once you realize where your thoughts are heading, tell yourself to stop. Take a deep breath. Go out for a walk to clear your head, or do whatever you need to do just to shut out that inner voice.

6. Get help from positive people

Friends are a good thing to have, but having positive friends you can rely on is even better. A positive person will help you overcome your negative thoughts. They will cheer you up when you’re feeling down. They’ll look at your problems from an objective point of view, so you can see the positive side, too. Your negative friends won’t do the same for you. Instead of cheering you up, they’ll probably try to drag you further down. They’ll feed on your negative thoughts, and they’ll spread even more negativity your way.

7. Start a journal

Having a journal is a great way to track down your thoughts. Whenever you’re feeling down, write it down. In the same entry, write your positive responses to your negative thoughts. Think about how you can turn a negative situation into a positive one. Then highlight the positive notes in your journal. That way, when you feel down again, you can easily find your positive entries to help cheer you up.

Additionally, you can also use your journal to write down all the good things you currently have going for you. Whether it’s your job, your pet, your family, or the latest gadget you’ve saved up for months, write it down if it makes you happy and makes you think positive thoughts.

8. Look at failure as an opportunity to learn

Failure isn’t the big bad wolf you probably think it is. Sure, failing big time might sound scary. It’s something you probably don’t ever want to experience. But think about how many times successful entrepreneurs failed before they succeeded?

The truth is successful people have probably failed more times than you can fathom. That may sound silly, but it’s true. Successful people think of failure as stepping stones towards success. Win or lose, they get something from the experience!

9. Enjoy your achievements no matter how small

You can’t belittle your achievements. No big thing can be completed without its many small parts. If you’re aiming to be a millionaire in a year, then be thankful if you’re earning any profit at all.

A lot of marketers have all sorts of wrong ideas about social media marketing. Some think that you only need to post "viral content" to get tons of traffic overnight. They actually believe that if you are able to pump that much traffic to your target website, a large chunk of those people will buy whatever it is that you are selling.

Maybe you're selling services, maybe you're selling an event, or maybe you are selling products from an online store, it doesn't matter. According to this idea, you just need to have a lot of traffic; courtesy of viral content on social media, and you will get the conversions you're looking for.

There is an assumption that social traffic, regardless of which platform it comes from and regardless of how you qualify that traffic, converts to sales readily.

Sadly, none of these assumptions are true. In fact, all of them are tragically mistaken.

If you believe in any of these, don't be surprised if you spend a lot of time, effort and money only to end up with a whole lot of nothing. Welcome to the club.

Effective social media marketing can be reduced to one metaphor. Master this metaphor and you probably will make money on autopilot with social media traffic. Screw up this metaphor or remain clueless to it, and you'll continue to struggle; you'll continue to believe that social media traffic can easily be generated through viral content. You might keep running after that unicorn only to get tired and frustrated.

It doesn't have to be this way. You just have to have the right metaphor or the right conceptual model to make social media marketing work for you. Best of all, you can make it work on autopilot.

You probably have heard of all sorts of "set it and forget it" systems. You probably bought at least one of these products. Well, they're definitely on the right track as far as their label. Social media marketing can be automated. It can be mastered to the point where it can produce income after you've set it. But getting there is another matter entirely. And that's the price people have to pay.

And unfortunately, most people are not willing to pay that. They're excited about shortcuts, but they're not willing to take the stairs to get to the top. At the back of their minds, they're thinking that there has to be some sort of elevator.

There is no shortcut. You have to work with this metaphor What am I getting at? Well, the secret to effective social media marketing is an inverted pyramid. It looks like a funnel. That is the metaphor you should have in your mind when thinking of ways to get traffic from social networks and social media platforms and turning that into cold, hard cash in your bank account.

I need you to keep this idea of an inverted pyramid in your mind. It should have a wide base at the top. The top of that pyramid is heavy visibility. It has to be there. You need to be visible on the four major social media platforms. I'm talking about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest.

Taken together, the traffic volume you can get from these four platforms is mind blowing. They can potentially pump a tremendous amount of traffic. But that's just part of the equation. That's just the top of the funnel. Potentially, you can push a lot of traffic from the top. That's how wide the top of the funnel is.
This training will focus on these four platforms, but you can pretty much use the tips that I'm going to share with you and modify them to market on other platforms since many of these principles easily apply.

You might need to modify them a little bit. For example, if you are thinking of marketing on Instagram, a lot of the things that I will teach you about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest, can be tweaked to work well on the Instagram platform.

Now that you have a clear idea of the heavy visibility that you can achieve with social media, keep in mind that visibility does not mean traffic or clicks to your
site. This is a myth. The visibility that I'm talking about means visibility on those platforms.

When people share your content within those platforms, you can enjoy a tremendous reach within such platforms.

But this does not automatically mean that when you share content on Facebook, people who see your link on the materials shared by their friends would automatically click them.

Get the idea out of your head that raw visibility, or as Facebook terms it, "reach," automatically translates to traffic. It doesn't work that way. Instead, you need to start with heavy content visibility on each platform. People must see your stuff there. You must achieve a wide enough reach.

People may not necessarily click on through to your site, but that's secondary. At this point, you just want your brand to be visible. You just want people to become familiar with your brand.

So what's the big deal about visibility anyway? You may be thinking, since visibility doesn't mean actual visitors to your website, what good is it?

Think about it this way, when was the last time you saw an ad for the first time and automatically clicked it? If you're like most other people, you probably would want to see the ad show up a few times for you to become familiar with it. You might glance at if from time to time, you might read the description from time to time, but after enough showings, you might seriously think of clicking through.

The same applies to your content on social media platforms. Don't expect that just because you come up with catchy titles and nice, attention-grabbing graphics that this is enough for you to expect a tremendous amount of clicks to your website. It doesn't work that way.

People have to be comfortable enough. Your content has to become familiar enough for them to click on it.

When audience members click on the content you share through your social media accounts, they get a chance to like your page, follow your Twitter feed, pin your posts, or subscribe to your YouTube channel. They still stay on the platform, but they get a chance to subscribe to your account or follow you.

This is the second stage of the social media funnel or inverted pyramid. You have to develop some sort of in-platform credibility. Your content is not just this random material that came out of nowhere. Even if people don't click on it, they see enough similarity in terms of branding, graphics, as well as other content cues so that your brand stands apart from everybody else's.

Again, they may not necessarily be motivated to click, but with enough repetition through social media channels targeting certain topic categories and hashtags, your brand doesn't remain an unknown quantity.

Once you have people checking your content out through your social media accounts, you can then send them "call to action" content (CTA). This content recruits people to your mailing list. This social content that you're sharing offers some sort of incentive.

Maybe you're giving away a free booklet, maybe you're giving away software—whatever the case may be, there is some sort of giveaway to incentivize people to click on that link, enter their email address, and join your mailing list.

Whether you use freebies, special content, special free tickets to an online webinar that's pre-recorded, it doesn't really matter. Whatever the case may be, the endgame is to get people to join your list.
