Synopsis

For the senior person creating and sticking to an ideal diet plan for that age group can be quite a challenge. This is because there are many connective factors that dictate the well being of those in this age group.

These contributing factors may include the use of medication for certain ailments, the lack of energy or interest to prepare nutritional meals especially if it for only one person’s consumption, no access to shopping for fresh produce and financial constraints.

None the less serious consideration should be given to ensuring the senior age group make an attempt to keep to a diet plan that is both balanced and nutritious. This can be done with the assistance of vitamins to supplement any lack found in the diet plan or in the person’s medical makeup.

For Elders

The following are some of the vitamins that ideally should be considered for the consumption of this particular age group:

Vitamin D – this vitamin will help the body absorb the calcium since this age group is more prone to contracting osteoporosis. This vitamin also helps in the fight against most heart diseases which again is something this age group is susceptible to.

All the various vitamin Bs – the senior group often has trouble with creating its own stomach acid which is essential in being able to assist in converting certain foods into elements that the body can use.
Besides assisting in this area, it also helps with keeping the brain in prime condition so that memory loss and other brain delebitating diseases are kept at bay.

Vitamin K – this is especially useful to combat any onset of Alzheimer’s disease. It also helps the blood to clot more effecietnly as most aged people will attest to having significant problems when it comes to controlling bleeding. In some cases this vitamin has also been noted to be able to help in improving opteoporosis conditions.

More than ever, it is important here to focus on providing value for your visitors and creating content that people will want to read. So that means not trying to sell anything and not just trying to rank with generic content. It means thinking about the long term by building that trust and that loyalty. That means thinking about what your visitors take from the content and making sure that each time they read anything you publish, they come away feeling inspired or entertained and with lots of good ideas and/or useful information that they can employ.

Now you need to promote that blog like you would any other. That means building links, posting to social media and ideally building a mailing list as well. Build that following on the strength of the content and make sure you have a strong brand to push it.

Now you have two options:

1. Suddenly introduce a pay wall so that all your content is off-limits and they have to pay to access it.

2. Gradually create your pay wall and fill it with more and more enticing content – using your other content to promote the paid content. This is the easier (and recommended) of the two methods.

You can also use other things to entice your readers – which might mean offering an ebook, offering a community (in fact this is very important) or even introducing some kind of ‘software as a service’.

Chapter Five: Using Snapchat – Advanced Features

In this chapter, we’re going to go over some of the more advanced features of Snapchat. We’re going to skip things that will be covered in later chapters like stories but this chapter will allow you to use the basic functions of Snapchat like the videos and pictures to get you started in the platform’s world.

Using Zoom in Your Videos

You don’t have to take a standard picture or video with Snapchat. By default, the videos is zoomed all the way out but all you have to do to zoom in is use two fingers and pull them apart just like if you are zooming in on a webpage on your phone. Zooming out is the opposite; bring your fingers together. One other small side note: if you haven’t found it yet, the control to flip your camera from front-facing to rear-facing is on the top right of your video screen.

Using Your Own Photos

In case you didn’t know, you can use the photos that are in your phone’s library to use in one-to-one communication in a direct message. All you do is swipe right on any friend that you want to send a picture to and tap on the blue bubble at the left side of the screen when it comes in the frame. Your private chat will open with them and you can tap on the yellow circle like you’re getting ready to take a picture, and when your camera comes up, look at the bottom right where you will see the last photo that you took and you can tap on it and open your library. Then insert whatever photo from your library you want and share it as a snap.

Chapter 1: The Importance of Energy Management

I’ve just spent the whole introduction waxing lyrical on the importance of time and why you need to make sure you are managing it wisely and giving yourself lots of it. Now it’s time to reassess that for a moment and explain that actually, in many ways, time management isn’t as important as you think.

Or at least that is to say that there are other factors at play here and some of them play a much larger role than you might expect.

In particular, one of those factors is energy. Your energy is tied closely to your time but the two are still distinct and you still need to consider them independently.

Because arguably, you could say that you actually have a lot of time. Most of us have a lot of time anyway; otherwise how did you manage to watch that entire boxset of your favorite TV series recently? When did you squeeze in watching all that junk TV?

And even the busiest of us usually find time for sleep!

The point here is that time management only works so far without energy management. If you don’t manage your energy, then you’ll find that you’re coming home and feeling completely wiped out at the end of the day. You probably have ample time to work out, to learn, to play with your family; you are probably just so busy at work and with everything else that you can’t use that time productively.

This is why we end up crashing in front of the TV and it’s why we don’t live life to the fullest! Unfortunately, this then goes on to make us even tireder and less energetic because our bodies adapt and become much less efficient. This literally happens; our cells lose their number of mitochondria and become less adept at converting glucose into useable energy.
