Otherwise, your mind and ego will find a way to sneak into the forefront of your life (if they're not already driving your life) and distract you, make you sad, regretful, or fearful.

At the beginning of this report, we discussed that the essence of spirituality is about being. It is about being yourself fully, and being one with life itself.

We also discussed that being spiritual is not about escaping or avoiding your current reality (which is here on earth.) It is also not about preparing yourself for some event or place in the future.

So, in order to truly be spiritual, you have to do it now...in the present moment. In fact, right now is the only thing that's real. Because the past is already gone, and the future is not real. It hasn't happened yet, so it only exists in the land of possibility, i.e. it only exists in your mind.

That means, you have to really "get" the fact that all you have is the present moment. This moment that's right in front of you is all there is.

So in the end, how spiritual you are in life boils down to how connected you are to life. And, how connected you are to life boils down to how connected you are to the present moment, i.e. right now.

Because life is always about the present moment. Life is only about the present moment. That's all there ever is. And, that's all there ever will be.

At some point during their meditative journey, almost everyone encounters the dreaded "mind." And, even before they ever start meditating, most people are cautioned, warned, or instructed to "clear your mind."

It took me almost 15 years to finally figure out that meditating has nothing to do with trying to "clear your mind."

Unfortunately, most newcomers are still being advised/instructed/told to clear their mind, or quiet the mental noise, in order to be able to meditate successfully.

The tally unfortunate part is, even most of the long-time meditation practitioners out there - who have been practicing for a decade or two - are still trying to "clear their mind".. .without much success. (This includes many of the instructors, too!)

Most people, including many instructors and teachers, end up turning the mind into an enemy that they have to fight against, resist, or try to shut down. That is the exact opposite of what you should be doing.

Yes, I am aware that (earlier in this very report,) I myself stated the purpose of meditation to be about "cutting down on the mental noise and inner dialogue" so you can access that deeper place inside yourself.

However, your primary focus should not be to "clear your mind" because doing so is almost impossible, especially if you focus directly on that task.

Of course, if you are able to quiet your mind, that's wonderful. But, don't waste your time on trying to do that.

The mind is such a thing that the more you try to quiet it, the more you try to resist its thoughts, the more prevalent and persistent it gets.

Besides, meditation is not about fighting, resisting, or even "trying" to do anything.

As I mentioned earlier, in the "How to Meditate" section, your only job during meditation is to observe. Without the need to judge, label, analyze, or change anything.

When you let go of the need (or desire) to judge, label or analyze, a good amount of mental noise and ego simply dissolves.

Not all of it goes away, mind you. A good amount of mind chatter and inner dialogue still remains. And, in the next section, I'll show you how to masterfully handle that situation.

As you may already know, the world is already full of opportunities, money-making ideas, products, teachers, and investment vehicles, and so on.

But, once again, we run into the same problem… we get bombarded by dozens of ideas, opportunities, product offers, investment advice, etc. etc.

And we have been conditioned to desperately chase them… one after another… With the abundance consciousness, you can let go of all of those ideas, offers, and thoughts that are cluttering your mind…and blinding you from recognizing opportunities that are right for you.

The only way to do that is to start using the processes discussed earlier in this report, and to focus mainly on removing the major blockages… one by one. (I’ll tell you how, shortly.)

When you do that, you stop the endless “chasing” of stuff that are out there… and you open up the path for the right ones to come to you.

Then, just be aware of what’s going on around you. Don’t try to force things to happen. Don’t try to pull them or chase after them. Don’t even hope for things to happen, or even wonder when they will come in.

Remember, you have to start cultivating the abundance consciousness first. And when you do, you won’t have any interest in chasing things (or people) down anyway. They will start coming to you… only if they are a right fit for where you are in your life right now.

This also means that the things, situations, and people that are not right for you will start to drift away. (Don’t try to force those things into staying either. That’s just creating more attachment.)

This exercise will keep the person's health in good condition, and quite necessarily, a person with good health is a more effective person.

Mental enhancement refers to enriching the knowledge. This includes learning and keeping updated on developments. A person who has more knowledge and information about his or her subject is undoubtedly more successful and effective.

One more very important point that is mentioned in this habit by Stephen Covey is that once a person becomes effective, he or she must endeavor in building interpersonal relationships. Since we cannot live as islands, it is important to progress taking other people in tow. This point becomes of special significance when we speak of the network marketing niche.

These points are much needed to keep your effectiveness sharpened at all times. You may reach your peak in your business, but if any of these points fail, you may begin your descent.
