How NOT To Be a One-Hit Wonder2

Youdon't want to become one of those many one hit wonders that make a big splash on the Internet and then vanish –but how do you make sure that you're not?

Because it's really easy to say you won't be, but the fact is that no one PLANS to be a one hit wonder; in fact it happens when you DON'T plan.

I'm going to offer some tips here for ensuring that your success is not the flash in the pan variety, but rather the type of success that continues to pay off day in and day out for years to come.

Really what we are talking about is becoming what you might call a “repeat success.” Because isn't that the opposite of being a one hit wonder? There is nothing at all wrong with that initial success –it's repeating that success over and over that gets you the outcome you're seeking. Sort of like being a one hit wonder a hundred or even several hundred times. And when you view it like this, you see that it becomes easier.

The first thing I'm going to recommend will sound too easy, perhaps, but it's extremely important that you try it out for the next 21 days. I say 21 days, because psychologists say it takes that long to make a new habit. Plus, it gives you the proper chance to evaluate the results and see that what I'mtelling you is profound, to say the least.

Okay, are you ready? The first thing you need to do to ensure you have ongoing success is to pick a number from 2 to 5, and then do that many things in your business everyday.

Let's say you are a super busy person with a full time job and a young family, so you don't have much time to devote to your online business. Your number is going to be 2, because you're only going to have time to do 2 things a day. If you're working online full time, your number is 5. Andif you're in between, you can determine the right number for you.

Now then, every evening you're going to make a list of the most important things you need to accomplish the following day in your business. If your number is 2, then write down the 2 things you want to do. If your number is 5, then you'll list the 5 things.

Obviously, you're not going to choose 5 really big things like “build a new website,” “create a new product,” etc. Instead, you'll break down your tasks so that they're manageable and doable in the time allotted. And then you're going to do those things, no matter what. As in, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS.

Doing the things on your list take priority over your favorite TV shows, eating out, etc. These things are as important as brushing your teeth and sleeping, and once you realize that then you're not arguing with yourself on whether or not to do them, you're simply DOING them.

I told you this would seem too simple –does it? Because this one technique will do more for you than almost anything else. Certainly it will allow you to accomplish more than any self-help seminar you could attend, or any time management tool you could use. The list technique is not new, it's old and it's proven and you know what else? It flat out WORKS. So if you're not already doing it, then I encourage you with all my heart to start using this method now, today, right this very moment.

A word of caution –I see students of Internet Marketing get very excited and say something like, “I am going to do TEN things every day!” But this is a trap. What happens is you get burned out and in less than 21 days you're not doing ANYTING in your business because it just became too overwhelming, too time consuming and too much like WORK. And isn't that what so many of us are trying to escape, the drudgery of WORK?

So don't fall into that trap. If you have lots of hours in your day then choose the number 5, do those 5 things in the morning and early afternoon, and then TAKE THE REST OF THE DAY OFF. That's right –do not allow yourself to get burned out because you will find that your biggest asset in your business is actually your enthusiasm for the business.

Also, do take a day off. Not 2 days, at least not in the beginning, because if you take 2 days off those 2 days often become 3, and then 4, and then you're not doing anything. But you can take one day off and go do something totally unrelated to your online business, and come back refreshed and re-energized the next day.

My second tip for ensuring you have long term success is so simple, and yet few people understand the power of it. Ready? It's to FINISH WHAT YOU START. If you start creating a product, finish it and then promote it. It's not finished until you get it out there and promote it. If you're writing a blog, set a schedule and keep to it. True, your blog will never be “finished,” but if you stop writing then it's as good as an unfinished project.

Look, I probably sound like your father on this one. “Son, you've got to learn to finish what you start.” Why do you suppose your father said that? Frankly, he probably said it because HIS father said it, but there is a terrific amount of wisdom behind that thought.

First of all, if you don't finish what you start then you have wasted your time and energy on that project. Second, you receive nothing in return for your effort –you can't make sales and earn money on a product you didn't finish.

Eleven Tips For Launching A New Anything Online PLR Ebook

Eleven (11) Tips For Launching A New 'Anything' Online2

So you're going to launch a new product/ website/ blog/ service online –how do you make a big splash that gets people on board and taking action? While this isn't meant to be a step-by-step primer, we have put together what we think are the crucial nuts and bolts to any successful launch.

1. Know what you want. You can launch just about anything with a little creativity. But the first question you should be asking yourself is not what to launch, but what you want to get out of a launch. Do you want sales? Do you want to build a list? Positioning? Speaking engagements? Attracting partners and affiliates? By knowing what you want, you'll be much more successful in figuring out how to get it.

2. Forget hype. Create an event.People are over run with hype and hoopla and the latest and greatest everything, which is why you don't want to add to the noise. Instead, you want to cut through all the
hype and turn your launch into an EVENT.

Think about it –despite how busy we all are, we still love holidays and birthdays and graduations and so forth. Why? Because they are events –they're things to look forward to and celebrate. That's why when you turn your marketing into an event, you'll completely bypass all the other marketing that's happening and you'll stand head and shoulders above the other distractions competing for your prospects' attention.

3. Create urgency.Whatever it is that you want people to do –buy your product, get a freebie for subscribing, join your membership, whatever –give them a deadline or use an element of scarcity. For example, if people purchase during your launch period (typically 2-7 days) then they get a special deal or extra bonuses or a lower price. Or your offer is only available during the event –after that it goes away permanently.

It's because you're running this special event that you can add in the scarcity element. Otherwise it's difficult to do it ethically –for example, those scripts that say the price will increase by midnight of the day the visitor hits the page are not only unethical –they may even be illegal.

And because of the scarcity –the bonuses going away or the price increasing or the actual product no longer being available –you'll find there is a surge in sales in the hours before the deadline. Scarcity really is a powerful motivator.

4. Introduce something in the middle of your event to spike sales.Let's say you're doing a five day event. On day 1 sales will be high because people are primed to buy. But by day 3 sales will have fallen off dramatically. That's why you need something to add excitement and make more sales. It might be an additional big bonus, or it could be a payment plan. Whatever it is, introduce it shortly before the halfway point. You should see a sales spike in the hours immediately after your announcement and again on the last day of the event in the final hours before it closes.

5. Your sales letter is not what you think. Sure, on the day of your big launch you've got a sales letter ready to sell your product or sell whatever action you want them to take. But that's only the END of your sales letter. Really your entire sales letter begins with your first marketing message and continues all the way through the pre-launch phase.

What you're doing throughout your entire prelaunch phase is introducing yourself to your prospects, letting them know that you suffered from the same problem they have and you've found solutions. You're telling your story, and as you tell your story you also share tidbits of really excellent information that they can use right away.

You're actually accomplishing two things at the same time –you're establishing trust by telling your own personal story, and you're establishing credibility by sharing some of your best stuff with them for free. Mind you, you're not giving away the farm or telling them everything you know. Rather, you're telling them what they need to do to accomplish their goal or solve their problem. You're just not telling them how to do it, because that is covered in the product.

This way, when you get to the actual product launch day, you've got people who don't even need to read your letter in order to purchase your product –they're ready to buy. And those who do need a sales letter to make the decision are already warmed up and very interested –you just need to push them over the fence.

6. Begin your launch just as you would begin a sales letter–with a big headline. You need something to capture people's attention and get them excited. And each phase of your pre-launch should have another headline, whether it's a written message or a video. Always be capturing attention and creating curiosity all the way through the process.

Remember, this is an EVENT, so treat it like an event. Rather than using hype, attract people with what's actually happening and what's really taking place. Your launch can change people's lives –if not then maybe you should rethink it. And because it can change lives, you need to clearly convey that message to your prospects. And the best way to do that is by using an attention grabbing headline each time that sets the tone, and then following up with really great information.

7. Have a great offer. This goes for anything and it's especially relevant for launches. Just because you're going to all the trouble of creating an event doesn't mean you don't also need a great offer, because you do. I don't care if you're a wiz at prelaunches and launches, if your offer stinks then you're not going to make sales.

So what's a great offer? It's something where the customers thinks, “Wow, I can't believe I'm getting so much value for so little money.” That doesn't necessarily mean that your offer is cheap –it could be $1000. But it does mean that you are offering far more in value than the price you are charging. For example, if you're showing someone how to set up a business that pays them $1000 a week, then $1000 for that information is nothing, it's peanuts. Or if you're showing them how to solve a problem that's been driving them crazy for days or weeks or even years, and you're dong it for only $47 while they've spent hundreds trying to solve it, then it's a great offer.

Eighteen (18)Steps To Creating Best Selling Products2

Whether you've never created and info product before, or you've created dozens and you're still not looking forward to your next, this short guide is for you. Just like anything else, when you have a step-by-step plan to follow, it just makes it so much easier than trying to “wing” it and magically (hopefully, somehow) put together a product people will happily purchase from you.

One thing we're not going to cover in this tutorial is niche selection and knowing you've got a hungry market for your product. Our focus is actually creating the best product possible to make the most sales possible and to boost your credibility and bank account in the process.

For the purposes of this tutorial, we're going to assume your product is an ebook, but the steps to making any kind of info product are quite similar.

The 18 Steps To Awesome Product Creation

Section 1 –Getting Ready To Create Your Product

1. Narrow your focus. One of the most difficult steps of all in creating your product is figuring out what the darn thing is about. Perhaps the most common mistake new product creators make is trying to cover EVERYTHING about a topic. When you do this, you come up with a generic piece of work that generally doesn't help anyone.

So instead, you want to narrow your focus as much as possible. For example, instead of “How to win elections” which is just too broad, you might narrow it down to “How to win local elections.” And you could narrow it even further to something like, “How to win local elections against an incumbent when no one knows your name.” Now that's specific and highly marketable.

Don't worry that you're being too specific –anyone wanting to win a local election is likely to pick this bookup, including the incumbent who wants to be ready against the young upstart.

2. You are the expert.Yes, really. The moment you start to create your new product, or even THINK about creating your new product, a gremlin is going to sit down on your shoulder and tell you that you do not know enough. You're not an expert. There are people who know more about the topic than you. And so on.

Bad news: The gremlin is right. There probably ARE people who know the topic better than you.

Good news: So what? If you know the topic better than 95% of people out there, you are an expert in the eyes of 95% of people. Now you just need to wrap your head around that and dive in.

How to boost your confidence: Research. Fill in the gaps, find out what you don't know, and learn enough to know more than 96% or 97% of other people. You don't need to be the world's foremost expert on your topic to create an info product on it, you just need to know more than most and be willing to research to find the facts and figures you don't already have. And thanks to the Internet, research is pretty darn easy. Just be sure of your sources –you don't want to give any false info to your customers.

3. One giant step. Now it's time to take a giant leap forward in your progress. In fact, what you do right now will save you time and make your product better, so plan to invest real effort into this.

You're going to create a DETAILED product outline. Think of your outline as the road map for your info product and it will keep you from getting stalledor going in the wrong direction in creating your
product.

Fill your outline in with just as much detail as possible with chapter headings, topics, subtopics, etc. If you've got pictures or videos to add, make a note of where they will go. If you find the order of your chapters or sections isn't right, simply rearrange them until they make sense. The more effort you put into this outline, the easier the entire rest of the process will be for you.

If you want a super simple outline maker tool, try this...https://www.crlsresearchguide.org/NewOutlineMaker/NewOutlineMakerInput.aspx

If you find yourself getting stuck, stop stressing and just start writing. You already have a good idea of what your product will cover -you just need to get it down on paper and in the right order. And the way to do that is start writing, rearranging and adding info until you're completely satisfied. When you are, set it aside and go do something else for the rest of the day.
