Creating a product is not always the easiest thing to do but it is always a way to market something within a niche that you may be very good at. Creating a product really depends on the audience and whether or not it will sell.

To do this a little bit of market research is required before you begin working on creating your product. First check the market to see whether or not it exists already.

If so, then you have two options, make your own product and compete or understand the existing product and expand on it as an additional product which could be marketed. Make sure before you start that there is indeed a demand for the product you wish to develop and market.

Make sure it is worth your effort to create the product and attempt selling it before you actually take the time to do so. If you are simply interested in selling a new product, one of the best things that you could do is purchase a project from someone else and market it for yourself. You can always think about joint ventures as well. This is a partnership in which you could create a product in conjunction with another creator, designer or other entity and then market it getting your fair shares of the profits.

Now you’re on your way to building a massive list. Here are a bunch of different ways to make money with your list. To maximize your income, you should be trying all of these to see which ones your list responds well too.

Affiliate offers - Find affiliate offers that are appropriate for your list. Make sure that whatever you promote, that it is a high quality product and that the sales page converts well. Also, make sure that it is something that your email list will actually want. If you have a list in dog training, they might be interested in a product about dog grooming, but they will probably be more responsive to a product that teaches advanced dog tricks.

Product launches - Make your own products and launch them to your list! You’ve already learned how to create your own products, take it to the next level. Create a larger product and launch it to your list. Whatever you sell will be 100% products. After launching it to your own list, you can get affiliates to sell your product for 50-75% commission. Personally, I give out 75% commission to any product that costs less than $100 and 50% commission to any product that costs more than $100.

One time offers and upsells - With every single offer you send, make sure there are upsells and one time offers. At least a single one time offer, but you can do three or four. Every time someone buy a one time offer they now are redirected to the next highest tier offer. Each higher tier should be a higher price than the last one. If you are promoting an affiliate offer, make sure you get commissions on all upsells and one time offers.

Recurring income - Create a membership site or promote a membership site as an affiliate. You then get recurring monthly payments from each person you sign up to be a member. Anytime you can get a subscriber to commit to a recurring payment, it’s amazing for your income.

Email ads - As long as the offers are of high quality, you can let other people advertise to your list. This involves them paying you a flat rate price and in return you send out a broadcast to your list promoting their offer. This is usually a free product for the other person to build their list, but it may also be a product with a small price if they are trying to build a buyers list.

Before we move on, there's two more ways I'd like to talk to you about adding value to a product. This time, though, the bonuses we'll be offering aren't directly related to the product, and aren't necessarily given on the sales letter as most bonuses are. It's always nice to give the customer a little something extra, and this is one way to do that and again, as we talked about before, helping yourself as well as the customer.

The first example I want to talk about is adding an option for discounts related to your other products, either now, or in the future through a ticket system. A good way to do this is allow customers to add additional products to their shopping cart at a discounted price when they check out. Not only does it allow them something extra for a little less, but it allows you to make more sales at the same time, again, benefiting both you and your customer.

If this is the first product you're creating, it doesn't hurt to reward loyalty. How about giving them 10% off the next product they buy from your business? This might not seem like it'll do much on the surface, but when you turn a first time customer into a long term customer that keeps buying from you again and again, this is adding value to your products at it's finest, because it benefits you the most not just today, but far into the future, where your previous customers are picking up two, three, four, and even more of your products within a year.

And last, something that's rather underestimated and hardly ever used (at least through the products I've purchased over the years anyway) is again, about rewarding loyalty. If for some reason you don't want to include particular bonuses on the sales letter, why not go for something a little different instead, and hit them with it after they buy the product. Granted, you're losing your additional sales power through presenting this on your sales letter, and instead handing it out after the sale, but let me assure you, if you do this, you will be remembered, and most importantly people will talk about you, and at the same time become long term, loyal customers of yours. Is there anything more valuable?

Above all, if you take nothing else away from this, I want you to remember one thing, and that's that nothing in business is set in stone. No rules that exist now will exist forever, nothing that works now will work forever. The same applies to everything written before you. Experiment, innovate, be different and you will be remembered, make wads of cash and get your name around, and who knows, in six months time you might just be sitting where I am now, typing out a report revealing the newest and most cutting edge marketing methods that you’ve that you've discovered throughout your journey.

I’m sorry to say that newbies easily become software junkies. The become addicted to the stuff. If you show a newbie a piece of software that promises to lighten his work load or make him more successful or make his computer run better or faster, he is almost always interested. The Cannibals know this....they depend on it.

You, as a newbie, must recognize your software addiction and try to control it. It can not only cost you a ton of money, it can be downright dangerous.

Do you know what the acronym TUS stands for? You don’t? I’ll tell you. It stands for Totally Useless Software (TUS)...and the jungle is full of cannibals pushing it.

You DO need some software programs...there isn’t any doubt about it. For example: You must have some kind of word processing program on your computer. The software that supplies this word processing ability, however, can be so bloated with un-needed features that all it does is eat up your computer resources. You will have paid a lot of bucks out for features that you do not need now and will most likely never need. The basic software is useless but the glut of added features makes most of it totally useless.

You can spend a lot of money on software that just simply won’t help you to achieve your goals. You can even spend real hard-earned money on such foolishness as singing happy faces....no kidding.

You can buy software that will supply you with line charts, graphs, pie charts, etc. that have absolutely no discernable use. They might look really impressive but they don’t mean anything.

But, hey, you might like a lava lamp icon on your task bar. Or, maybe you believe that there is software out there that can keep the evil spirits from invading your computer. If you do, maybe you should consider another line of work.

Besides TUS there are cannibals that will try to sell you pirated software. Everybody loves a bargain! There are no two ways about it...deep discounts are very, very attractive. This is another thing that the cannibals are well aware of.
