Getting emotional in the stock market is the worst thing that can happen to investors. The same goes for Forex traders as well. Seeing paper losses in everyday trade is pretty common.

Once to take a decision to buy something and make losses, you still hold on even if situations turn from bad to worse, only because you feel that things might turn back in your favor once again. The main problem here is that, the decision to stick to a losing trade for a long time is an emotional one, since you are in no mood to accept a loss and get out of the trade.

Forex market is largely influenced by the general market and you must always trade on what the indications based on the market are, and not just initiate one since your heart tells you to. At times, you might be so emotionally attached to a given currency in the Forex market, that most of your exposure to the Forex market would be in that particular currency.

Nothing wrong with it, as if you have reasonable grounds to believe that the currency will do well, then you will actually profit from the exchange. The 'wrong' thing is opening up a trade in a currency just because your heart tells you to.

In the case, if you strongly feel about any given currency, then it‘s better to check the reality by having the look at what the market is indicating. That will give you a clear picture of whether or not you should trade in that currency.

The basic thing that is needed to be remembered is that once you have initiated a trade, and are incurring paper losses, and by all indications, things are likely to get even worse for you, then it is much better to book losses and come out of it rather than sticking to it till a time you ultimately are able to see some gains from it. Remember, the markets have little room for emotions.

Forex trading is not a win-win situation. Be prepared to lose on some trades as well. That‘s the precise manner in which the market works. It is not really a question of whether you are right or not, the fact remains that markets move in an unexpected way and they have a knick of surprising people when they least expect it. All the fundamentals and even experience may be thrown into the air when the markets decide to do something.

So just follow the indications that the market gives you. If you feel that after initiating a trade, things are not going the way you had foreseen, book your losses and get out of it. You can invest the amount in some other trade and make good gains rather than sticking to your losing trade.

Day Six: Write the proposal

Day Six Task

Task One: Write the initial draft of your book proposal

Write the draft quickly. Don’t think too much about it. In your initial draft, you aim for quantity, rather than quality.

Relax! You'll write your draft in stages

Today's the big day. You're going to write your book proposal. If you're starting to freeze up at the thought, relax. You've already done a lot of preparation work, and you're not going to write it all at once. You'll write it by taking the proposal through several clearly defined stages:

A. First draft. This is your "thinking" draft, in which you think on paper. In this draft, you write whatever you like. You're aiming for quantity here, rather than quality. Write this draft full-steam ahead, without stopping to look things up. Consider "writing" this draft by talking into a tape recorder.

If you need to do some spot research, just leave a note to yourself, and keep working on the draft. You can look up individual items later. The benefit of doing specific research later is that you may find it's unnecessary. It's quite possible that you'll eliminate this material from a later draft.

B. Your second draft. Your first draft has shown you what you want to say. In this draft, you have a crack at saying it. In your second draft, you organize. You decide what material you want to include, and perhaps expand on, and what material you'll delete. Think of this draft as shaping your material.

Occasionally you'll want to take this shaping draft through several documents. You may have a B1, B2, B3 and B4 version, for example.

Keep your drafts.

Use the "File, Save As" menu option of your word processor to keep versions of your book proposal. When you change the name of the file as you work through different versions, it means that you can always go back and reinsert something that you deleted, because it's in a previous version.

C. Your clean-up draft. Your final draft. You've said what you want to say, now you get a chance to say it better. You clean up the redundancies and spice it up.

Paradoxically, the easiest way to write well is to allow yourself to write badly. Every day. This is because writing is hard when you try to think and write at the same time. Allow yourself to think on paper for as many drafts as you need. Then write the final draft with confidence.

Woody Allen once said that 90 per cent of success at anything was just showing up. I've found that that's very true. So no matter how bad you feel your writing is at any given time, go ahead anyway. Your writing is not as bad as you think, it's simply a crisis of confidence, and even if it is rough when you first get it on the computer screen, it can be fixed. However, if you hesitate, and don’t get it on the computer screen, you have nothing to fix. Get it done!

At the end of this book, in the Appendix, you'll find the complete proposal for my book 7 Days To Easy Money: Copywriting Success. This is a real proposal, and it won an agent contract on first reading. Read it through so that you can see exactly what goes into creating a proposal.

We've already covered what your proposal must contain, here it is again, for reference. Please print this page out:

A title page, with the title, subtitle, author, word count of the completed book, and estimated time frame for completion. You might state: "75,000 words, completion three months after agreement".

An overview: a description of the book. This can be as short as a paragraph, or several pages long.

The background of the author. Your biography, as it relates to your expertise for this book.

The competition in the marketplace. This is where you mention the top four or five titles which are your book's competitors. (Note: if there are dozens of competitors for your book, this is a good thing, because it means that the subject area is popular. Your book will need to take a new slant.)

Promotions. This is where you describe how you will promote your book, both before and after publication.

A chapter outline.

A sample chapter, or two chapters. This is always the first chapter, and if you're sending two chapters, it's the Introduction and Chapter One, or if there's no Introduction, it's Chapters One and Two.

Attachments. Optional. You may want to attach articles you've written about the book's topic, or any relevant supporting material.

You've already been working on a major part of the proposal --- the chapter outline. If you like, you can begin today's work by spending an hour or two with that. If your chapter outline still has major holes in it, don't worry too much about it. Today we'll complete an initial draft of the complete proposal, and you can fill in the gaps later.

Your background—why you're the person to write this book

Next, we'll work on the background section.

The first piece of info you'll need to include in the background section is a brief bio. Every book you own has a bio of the author, so take a few books off your shelves and study the author bios. Most are short. Novelists' bios mention the writer's interests, partner, children and pets. The bios of nonfiction writers (that's you) emphasize the writer's academic credentials if it's important to the writer's credibility, or the writer's experience in the field the book covers, or anything else which might be relevant.

Then urgently encourage your puppy to run outside with you. “Outside, outside, outside!” And finally, reward your puppy lavishly for going potty in the right place. By doing so, and driving a higher grade auto model, you may well appear as a more established, senior, more experienced and established employee as well as individual. Fortunately or unfortunately in life most comes down to appearances and perceptions.

There may be a much better and / or better paying job but its way across town, or in an area not served by the bus transit system. Or it may be the case that there is bus service - but if devours a good two to three hours a day of travel time. Good bye to your personal social life. You may have all the money in the world – the wealth of Bill Gates Himself and yet no time or energy to enjoy it. So much for all that pay of that new wonderful job. A real step foreword as they say. It is always a case of reward versus cost or cost versus benefit. It is a case by case analysis.

As soon as I get an idea for an ebook that gets me excited, I write it down. (Keep a pen and pad, or tape recorder, with you at all times.)

Then, I transfer it into a 14” by 17” sketch pad. It’s a drawing pad i.e. it contains blank sheets of paper, without ruled lines.

I designate at least one sheet to my new idea. And, then I just go crazy on it. The secret I’ve discovered is to forget about logic, linear thinking or organization. Just let go and pour out whatever is inside you at that moment.

In other words, my mind is usually going in 10 different directions when I scribble on the pad. One minute I’m writing a brief table of contents on one section of the page. The next minute, I’m writing a killer headline that just came to me, for that product. Pretty soon this large 14” x 17” page is filled up with scribbles, notes, gems that I brainstormed.

Everything that I can think of (relating to this product) gets recorded on this pad (table of contents, ads and salesletter titbits, cover design, formatting, etc.)

I also let the idea simmer in the back of my head for a few days (and nights) and each time I get bits and pieces of insight, I make a note of them all.

(It’s very important to let your mind relax and roam freely, in a limitless manner. That’s when some awesome ideas can come to you. After you’ve given your brain a goal to focus on, sleep on the idea and let your brain really go to work on it, unhindered.)

Planning The Outline & Content

Since this report is about creating products fast, you'll notice me offering you some amazing shortcuts throughout this report that will help you get your ebook written super fast!

To get my outline and content setup, I just go back to the sketch pad (from above) and play with it. I’m one of those people who likes to see everything laid out in front of me if I am to arrange them in any kind of order or sequence.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be done on a large sketch pad, like I do. Find out what method works best for you and do that.

You can just as easily create a document on your computer and start jotting down ideas for the book there. Basically, you want to make a note of all the sub-sections you will want to talk about. Then, when you’re done listing these sections/chapters down, just arrange them in a sequence/order that makes sense. You’ve now got a table of contents, or at least the first draft of one.

Here’s an easy way to get some ideas on creating an outline for your book: just look at the existing books on the subject! Whenever possible, try to use what’s already out there, there’s no point in reinventing the wheel. Go to the library and pick out a book on the subject you’re writing about and see how they have it all laid out.

I’m not saying “copy” it word for word. Just get “ideas” on what to do. If the book you’re looking at has a good outline, you can model off of that. If the outline (table of contents, etc.) are hard to follow on that book, you can improve on it when creating your ebook! (So, you’ll get ideas on what to do and also what not to do by looking at existing samples of work.)

That should be the core mindset for you while you’re creating your own products:

Make your product better than what’s already out there!

I can’t tell you how much time to spend per day on each chapter because I don’t know what your lifestyle or schedule is like. Just spend some time working on the chapters, one at a time, and pretty soon you’ll have the ebook completed.

Here’s what I would suggest you do each time you sit down to work on your ebook: Look at the Table of Contents you’ve created and pick a subject/chapter that most interests you at that time. Work on that chapter!

You’ll enjoy the process a lot more if you’re writing about something that excites you at that moment.

There are many other benefits to doing this as well, which I won’t go into here. Let’s just say that when you’re excited about the subject you’re writing about, your reader will feel that excitement when she reads your ebook. And that’s always a good thing. There are too many boring writers (and books) out there. Yours won’t be one of those if you use the above technique.

Avoiding Doubts, Fears, and Writers Block

I’ve been creating ebooks and reports for a while so I don’t find myself doubting or fearing the future too much. But, that can happen from time to time, especially if you’re a beginning writer.

Here’s a simple remedy: do whatever it takes to shift your focus. That’s all there is to it.

Put the project aside for an hour (or even a day) if you have to. Go watch something funny on tv. Listen to your favorite music. Read a motivational book or article, play with the kids, or just go for a walk.

It’s really not as difficult as we often make it out to be. Just change the track your “train of thought” is currently riding on.

Doubts and negative thoughts may enter your mind occasionally. Don’t fight it, just gently nudge your thoughts towards the positive and productive.

Then, go back to the project with a new, fresh attitude and perspective.

It also helps to envision the end result just the way you want it to be.

For example, if you’d like your book to earn you $50,000 per year, keep seeing/visualizing that result consistently, as if it has already happened! This process will burn the “success” image into your brain and pretty soon, doubt will be a thing of the past.
