Use only one format when you are choosing your AdSense layout. The more consistent your design, the easier it is for people to click on your ads. Without even thinking the first thought that comes to your mind when you see or hear the words ‘Astroturf Marketing’ you think of a sign in the grass or Astroturf (hence the name), that’s not what Astroturf Marketing or Astroturfing is.

Astroturfing, the practice of Astroturf Marketing is creating an artificial buzz. Like most other methods of GM you want it to appear as though you had nothing to do with it because lets face it self promotion is the worst kind, so that’s why there are commercials and media outlets where you have to pay and make it look like it’s not you doing the marketing.

Silly I know so forget what people think and go out there and apply some AM to your next GM campaign. AM is one of the few GM tactics that is best and most easily carried out online.

You can start an amazing AM campaign within a few minutes. Simply search for a forum or mailing list on a topic related (directly or indirectly) and start posting or mailing and subtly mention whatever it is you want to mention.

In a majority of the cases this costs absolutely nothing more than the fee of your ISP and won’t get you in trouble with the site, forum or mailing list you are targeting. To find the appropriate forum(s) to post on just go to Google and type the niche you are looking for followed by a plus sign and then forum, hit enter and watch the millions of forums appear in front of you.

For example, if you want to do an AM campaign on pet care or you are promoting a pet care product go to google and type the following “Pet Care+Forum”, signup to any or all of these sites and start posting.

Don’t go to crazy right away but you’ll get the idea and soon you’ll create a buzz around the sites which spread from one to another like a virus (remember Viral Marketing) and soon you’ll be glad you not only got this eBook but applied at leat this method of GM.

Ahh. We are moving along pretty quickly. You’ve had numerous chances here to get going on some serious GM and I hope you have taken advantage of me rambling on here. GM is perfect for anything as I’m sure you’ve gathered by now so I’ll move on to the next GM tactic.

A little earlier you learned how you can use ‘pre-advertising’ to help fund your magazine. But, once you have completed your magazine’s content and layouts, you won’t have to ‘pre-advertise’ as much because you actually have something you can show to your prospects. And thanks to PDF files, you can send your magazine in a format that is both attractive and virtual. No printouts are needed, which eliminates any unnecessary costs. The only thing you will really need is a PDF writer, which can be obtained through Open Office. And, (as you learned earlier), Open Office is freely distributed.

But in order to get to this point, you’re going to have to find advertisers to work with in the first place. This is going to be really challenging because although you have a ‘completed’ magazine, you don’t have any subscribers you can brag about. And if an advertiser has any serious money, they’re not going to want to spend it on a beginning magazine publisher.

That leaves you with one option: offering low prices to small businesses. Now, in Chapter 2, you were briefly introduced to the concept as you learned how Internet marketers can be a powerful source for your funding. But you can also focus on offline mom-and-pop businesses in your area. All you have to do is make an appointment to speak with the owner of each establishment… a process that doesn’t have to cost you any money.

However, if you want to win a contract, you are going to have to present yourself professionally. So, if you can afford it, go on and print at least one copy of your magazine. This will be the physical copy you show your prospects. You can still give them a virtual copy, by either putting it on CD for them or asking them if it’s okay for you to send it as an email attachment. Either way, your prospect gets an opportunity to review your magazine as many times as they want.

Anyway, after your prospect reviews your magazine, you’re going to have to try to convince them why they should advertise with you. And, since you don’t have any subscribers yet, you will probably have to go on and share your marketing plan. This won’t be as powerful as actual numbers, but if it’s thorough enough, it could still be convincing for some people.

You can conclude your presentation by discussing your magazine’s pricing structure. This is where you’re going to have to use the most discretion. If you charge too low, some business owners may think your magazine isn’t legitimate. Others might be thrilled to get their business advertised in print, especially if they think your magazine is going to be promising.

Incorporating Feng Shui for your kitchen will take some surveying. You have to look at how it is placed within the home. The kitchen is usually located adjacent to the backyard of the home. There’s a good reason for that.

From a visual standpoint, if the kitchen was near or at the front, it could pose a mindset of issues with eating and nutrition. Having it in the front of the home could mean that you may be tempted to eat every time you enter. It would be just as bad if you have guests coming to visit. The first thing they would want to do is eat.

However, if your home is set up like this, you can do something about it. You could purchase a curtain and install in the area of the kitchen entryway. Or, you could have French doors measured to install in that area. Another idea you could implement is to have something that will peak their interest. This can cause a distraction on the real focus (the kitchen).

If you’re cooking, you should have an eye on the entryway of the kitchen. There are kitchen where the stove is facing the wall. To implement to the Feng Shui method, people that are cooking can put a mirror over the stove.

For newer homes, builders are now including islands that sit in the middle of the kitchen area. This would be a good addition to the Feng Shui concept. When the island is strategically placed in the middle, the person that’s cooking can see what’s going on in another area.

When it’s set up this way, they can still be involved with what’s happening in a nearby area, along with continue to cook meals.

This type of kitchen setup is inviting because it allows other people to come in and help cook. The original person that was doing all of the cooking won’t feel slighted. It can make for a greater camaraderie and relationship bonding.

In Feng Shui, the stove is the symbol of health and wealth. All of the burners should be used equally by doing rotations. Don’t use one or two burners and leave the rest unused. Using all four in equal rotation can cause you to receive money from more than one source.

It has been noted that with the older model stoves, those are actually better because they incorporate the Feng Shui method of slowing down. Take a good look at what’s going on and what you’re doing.

The crawlers now take their lists of the URLs that each page links to and combine them. So for each page there is now a list of the links on it, as well as the text of each link. The list is then reversed, so that instead of showing the links on each page, it shows for each page the sites that link to it.

Some search engines stop here and simply store the number of links pointing to a given page, but Google takes it a little further.

For every page in its database, Google gives it "points" based on how many links are going to it--just like any other search engine. Then, it re-calculates the number of links pointing to each page, but gives more points to links that had a higher point-value themselves in the first count. It then repeats the process about 100 times, each time making the points more accurate.
