Chapter 4 - Motherhood

Taking Baby Home

While you’ll most likely feel overwhelmed, remember that there are always people to help you. Your partner, your family and friends are more than willing to lend a helping hand so you can have some time for yourself.

Becoming a "Mom"

It may be a bit strange to take on this new role as “mother,” considering the only mother in your life up until now has been your own. Becoming a mom isn’t that difficult in the sense that you must suddenly begin acting like one. For most women, it will be instinctual. You will naturally worry about the wellbeing of your child and do your best for them all the time. However, as your child grows, the skills necessary to cope with your child’s behavior are learned. Just as with every other role in life or even jobs, the finer details are learned, not inherited.

A lot of new moms and even many not so new moms feel as though they lose a bit of themselves or a bit of their personal identity upon becoming a mother. While it may feel this way, it certainly doesn’t have to be this way.

Letting a child take over your entire life is not very healthy. You still need things for yourself as well like your career, love life and hobbies. While you may not be able to devote as much time to these things as before, you can still keep your “old” self alive and kicking.

Get a job

Another added bonus of having a job over the summer is it will take your mind off of the impending start of college. Many people find themselves stressed out at the change college brings to their lives. Having a job keeps you productive and focused rather than sitting at home worrying.

You may even be able to buy yourself something fun before you bury your nose in books for four months and don’t reappear until December. Regardless of what you do, having a job keeps you disciplined and in top shape for a fast paced environment. You’ll be ready to attend classes like a pro.

Make time for friends

This may be the last summer you have at home. It also may be the last time you see some of your childhood friends. If you grew up in the same place you went to high school, you’ve probably known the same people since you were five years old! It will be sad to say goodbye, but you can make the most of this time by doing fun things with those you care about.

Be sure to collect the contact information of your closest friends. You’ll want to keep in touch once you start college, and it will be too hectic at the beginning of the semester to do such things. Exchange addresses and dorm information BEFORE you leave to move in.

You can also make an extra effort to spend time with those people that will be going to colleges far away from where you will be attending. Do things in your hometown and enjoy the home life as much as possible. In a few short months, you’ll be missing it.

Understand this ...

If you have the time and you're willing to do something constructive you will always be in a position to make money from people who want the benefits of doing something without actually having to put in any real work.

What does that all mean as far as making money?

To continue with my earlier train of thought, I created a special report that shows you how to take autoresponder courses you create and get other people to flood those course with subscribers, but as I've said, people don't want to know how to do that.

What they actually want is for me or you to create a "system" where they can buy the rights to an autoresponder course that is already set up so they can use the technique I outline to get other people to flood that course with subscribers for them so they don't really have to do much. When they arrive there is little information, so in an effort to leave the site quickly, they click on one of the text linked ads to navigate away.

A better philosophy is to make the site content rich to attract visitors and establish a level of trust. The visitor feels comfortable and when they've found the information they needed they are more likely to click on one of the text based ads.

How much money can you earn with AdSense? It depends on the topic of your website, your key word usage and your traffic. People look for all sorts of information on the Internet. Quite a bit of the time they're looking for a solution to a problem or how-to-do something. If your website addresses those issues, the odds are it will make more money than a generic site.

You have to have a website already up and running before you apply for AdSense. They are accepting blogs for AdSense revenue as well. Once you get one blog or website approved you can add the AdSense to your other sites/blogs without additional approval.

Once you're approved you have your choice of style and size of ad. You don't have to do any of the coding. You do have to know how to incorporate the code on your website or blog. It's not difficult. You can track how much money you're making nearly in real time.
