Once you have started talking over the telephone, then the relationship has already taken wings, then is no reason to postpone a direct meeting. So what are we waiting for? But wait; there is no need to push it. You should not sound over anxious to meet this girl or guy. Let the decision to meet evolve over a number of telephone calls. And there are certain things that you can bear in mind before you really meet.

The Rendezvous

It is not advisable to invite someone home before you have really met the person. You had better choose a public place preferably somewhere where there are plenty of people around, just in case, you know.

That is why most couples prefer to meet in a restaurant over lunch or dinner. There is one thing about having food together. When people sit together and have food together they get to know a lot about each other.

Table manners tell us a lot about a person’s upbringing and background and you can learn a lot about a person by observing him or her eat. The second thing is that warm food has a wonderful effect on the human mind. It releases all those digestive juices and sets the tongue wagging. People loosen up a lot, especially after a glass of wine or two.

The first mistake that most people make is that they go under the wrong impression that a meeting, even the first meeting must end up in bed. No, it does not have to be so.

There is no compulsion on your part or anyone’s part that you have to take the person home with you. Just because you enjoy talking or chatting with a person it does not necessarily mean that you have to sleep with the person. Let that too evolve, so it is best to keep any such situations that might lead to a bed room scene completely at bay.

So how do you do that? The first thing you should do is that you should be clear about the time. Evenings are tricky times to meet. If you have dinner together, then there comes the possibility of dropping the other person home.

To continue, Facebook allows you to look at the profiles of your friends and others in your network. Next, another feature of Facebook is the ability to search for other Facebook users in your networks. Moreover, you can enter emails for your alumni or work to join those networks. Also, you can join a regional network by entering your city or town. For example, if you live in a small town, a network of bigger cities is provided for you to cho ose. Then, you can upload a picture to accompany your profile. Thus, you need to read their terms of use to make sure your pictures are not copywrited and that they do n’t violate Facebook's terms of use. Finally, use the browse feature to find the picture you want on your computer, check the terms of use, and click on the upload picture box.

Also, you can click on the “my profile” link to add and edit your profile information. Next, inviting friends to join Facebook is easy too, by typing in your email address and password for email providers such as; Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, MSN, or AOL. Then, this option searches your address book for friends who are using Facebook. In addition, your password and email is not kept by Facebook and you choose who gets invited. Finally, steps two and three can be skipped to step four.

Moreover, this step verifies your identity to make sure Facebook's users are authentic. First, you enter your cell phone number and you will receive a verification code on your cell phone to enter on the site. In addition, your cell phone carrier’s charges are the only fees applied. Second, enter the code received on your cell phone in the “code box” and click on the “confirm” button. Third, you have the option at this step to sign up for Facebook Mobile. Furthermore, Facebook does not charge for signing up for this option, but your phone carrier will charge their normal rates. Finally, at this point your registration is completed and you can click on the "I’m all done" button.

To continue, you are taken to your profile page that contains your name and birthdate. In addition, if you uploaded a photo previously, it will be displayed on this page. Also, in the “mini feeds” section, the network you joined, and a welcome message from F acebook are shown. Moreover, your contact email is displayed in the “information” section. Besides, this section gives you the choice to fill out the rest of your profile. Furthermore, you can create a profile badge, keep your status updated and post on walls. Plus, you are given a link to use at AIM to link your Facebook profile to.

Additionally, a badge is a great way to display your Facebook information on other websites. Furthermore, you can choose, a photo badge, signature badge, blog badge, or design your own badge. Next, the status box displays whether you are at home, the library, work, at class, partying, or sleeping. Also, this profile keeps your friends informed on how long ago your status was updated. As well, you can change your status by clicking on the “clear status” link. Then, you can write a message on your wall and post it.

The main thing you need to so with a new subscriber is to KEEP THEM. If they get nothing for the first two weeks from you except sales emails, the chances are they’ll unsubscribe, never to be seen again.

BUT you also need to make them aware you’re an internet marketer so don’t be scared of offering (notice I didn’t say ‘selling’) your products to them. Before you do that though you should make sure they know whop you are, all about you and how you work.

When someone signs up to my list or subscribes to my newsletter the same thing happens. I give them instant access to my newsletter back issues then leave them alone for a few days to read.

After that, the next follow-up email in the sequence goes out. It offers them a free report that’s rebrandable, that they can give away from their own websites or to their own list that promotes one of my products. If they refer any sales they get 75% commission.

Notice that I’ve invited them to become a JV partner and now have them promoting my product but they still don’t feel as though I’ve tried to sell them anything.

The next email in the sequence comes out 4 days later. It offers them one of my products that is related to selling other people’s products (so it’s relevant to the last email they got from me) and they can get it at a discount price. It’s not exactly a OTO because it’ll be available later but at a higher price.

Now this is important to remember… Directly under the initial greeting is where you begin your OTO offer. That’s the best response hot spot area for an OTO to be placed. i.e. close to the top of the page as possible.

So don’t take too much space with your Thank You greeting. All you have to do is thank them in a respectful manner and in a big enough type size that it will be noticed THEN get right into the OTO sales copy immediately!

I had a chance to thoroughly test this in Mark Hendricks’ 12 Days of Christmas seasonal promotion over the last few years and without a doubt is the most responsive sales hot spot area from testing and tweaking.

At this point people are in a rush… so… right below the Thank You greeting is where you make the OTO offer very prominent. Here in this next diagram below we’ll look at the OTO path where you drive your members to a sales page to make sales (not subscriptions in this case) as your primary goal.

Also note… while an OTO is a secondary most wanted response (since its nature is an upsell offer) it is amazingly refreshing when you find how your prospects will take you up on buying more than one item from you during the sales process.

None of us were born with low self-worth or low self-esteem. It developed through the years by what we were told and how we were made to feel by the people in our lives. Whether you have children or not, you can make a difference in a child‘s view of themselves and stop the cycle of low self-esteem problems.

The obvious first step toward fostering a good self-image in children is to provide them with unconditional love and caring. Don‘t criticize or berate them. Always focus on the positives and provide encouragement in everything they do.

More specifically, however, there are many, many other things you can do. First, you should model good self-esteem. Express through your actions and words that you respect yourself. Children are wonderful at imitating what they see and hear. Be a good role model.

Create positive routines. Young children need routines to help them to feel secure and competent. Try to set a good schedule for bedtime, rest/naps, meals, etc. Try to keep exceptions to the routine to a minimum and explain any necessary changes if/when they occur.

Allow many opportunities for children to contribute to the family. Give the child a job/chore that only he/she does for the family. Even a small job can have a positive lasting impact on a child's self esteem.

Talk about the world in positive terms. Even though there is negativity in the world, don't dwell on it with a child. Be sure to point out the many positive things in the world to children.

Give them the gift of your time. Remember quality is more important than quantity. Even if you spend just 30 minutes with a child one on one -- playing games, taking walks, having long bedtime chats, or just snuggling in front of the TV, spending time with a child shows them that you value their company.

Give them choices. By giving a child choices between a reasonable set of options that are already predetermined, you will make them feel empowered. But be cautious here.

Too much control sends the message that your children can't adequately handle their lives. Too little control sends the message you don't care, so you must strike a balance between these two extremes and give them more freedom as they grow older.

Acknowledge and listen to their thoughts and emotions since they are so much a part of who they are. Listening to you offspring with empathy says you care about what they think and feel. Plus it will create an atmosphere in which they will be more willing to listen to you.
